After returning from Koshien, I met up with a junior who lives nearby. It was a popular restaurant, so my junior waited in line for me. However, I was unfamiliar with Osaka, especially the maze-like underground shopping streets in Umeda. I was given a meeting spot but ended up changing to the 2nd branch of the store at the last minute, which confused me. Even with the map navigation on my phone, it didn't work well underground and I ended up going in and out of the underground area multiple times, feeling lost. My phone battery was running out, and I was starting to give up, but I finally arrived. My junior had already finished their dish. I ordered a lemon sour for 190 yen, which was cheap. We also ordered Okinawan mozuku and name-ro for appetizers, which were decent. Since we were at Sashisu, we decided to try some sushi - Maguro Trio (akami, chutoro, zuke maguro), Blue Three (aji, kohada, shimesaba), White Fish Trio (tai, hirame, aburi nodoguro), and Salmon Trio (salmon, aburi salmon, mayo salad). Each was ordered for two people. The presentation was nice, and everything tasted delicious. We ended up drinking 8 lemon sours between the two of us, regretting that we had already filled up on beer and sours at Koshien. The total bill came to 7,440 yen, which was surprisingly cheap. I always think that Osaka's nightlife in the bustling areas is much cheaper than Tokyo. Last year after Koshien, I drank with this junior in Ebisu and got hooked. We visited several bars in a row. The price difference between these two major cities in Japan is unbelievable. The most expensive beer at Koshien was 750 yen, but that's understandable since the vendors carry the tanks. In comparison, at Tokyo Dome, it's 900 yen, which is expensive! So, I was happily swayed by Osaka's nightlife and wondering where to drink tomorrow after Koshien.
