There are many delicious traditional Japanese sweet shops in Osaka, but my personal favorite is this shop. It is located just a 15-second walk from my home, which is a big reason why I frequent it so often. I highly recommend their warabimochi!

Around 11:00 on June 8th, I visited Hagiwara Tenjin shrine and stopped by this traditional Japanese confectionery shop known for their fruit daifuku, which uses an abundance of seasonal fruits. They always have around 10 different types of daifuku available, all of which look very vibrant. Since the expiration date is usually the same day or the next day, it's best to eat them soon. On this day, I purchased the following items:
- Warabi mochi (540 yen): Made with real warabi powder, this treat is delicious both with black honey drizzled on top or enjoyed on its own. The subtle sweetness of the sticky warabi mochi combined with the fragrant roasted soybean flour is really tasty.
- Strawberry King (432 yen): This daifuku uses strawberries that are about 1.5 times larger than regular ones, giving it a more substantial bite.
Overall, it was a delightful meal.

At our store, located in Hankyu Umeda Main Store, there is always a long line! We are a renowned traditional Japanese confectionery shop known for our popular fruit daifuku. Upon arriving at 12:45 on weekends, the store is packed with takeout customers, and I had to wait as the first in line outside. However, the turnover is fast, so I quickly got inside. With a wide variety of options on the menu, I finally decided on purchasing the Mask Melon Daifuku, Mango Daifuku, Strawberry Daifuku (white bean paste), and Dekopon Daifuku. I started with the Mask Melon Daifuku. And wow, it was delicious! The sweet and juicy mask melon paired perfectly with the cream cheese. The mango was also sweet and juicy, and I particularly loved the mask melon and mango flavors the most.

I received another fruit daifuku! Everyone loves the fruit daifuku here. Strawberry daifuku, mango daifuku, white chocolate strawberry daifuku, condensed milk strawberry daifuku - all delicious! The white bean paste and condensed milk are filled with fresh strawberries, matching perfectly with the chewy and soft mochi. Kiwi daifuku has a whole kiwi inside, with a sweet and sour taste wrapped in white bean paste. I want to eat them all by myself. There are so many varieties that I always have a hard time choosing. I would love to try the grapefruit daifuku next!

Issindo ★ Issindo ★ Order this menu ⬇️✔︎Strawberry King ¥432-✔︎Chocolate Strawberry Daifuku ¥432-✔︎White Chocolate Strawberry Daifuku ¥454-Located in Higashi-ku, Sakai City, this shop is famous for its fruit daifuku. When you enter the store, you will see a few baked goods and a large showcase filled with fruit daifuku from end to end. Especially during this season, strawberry daifuku is a must-try. Eating it as a takeout was delicious, too. The strawberry in the Strawberry King daifuku was incredibly sweet and tasty.♪Shop's Instagram @issindo4✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚Issindo19-7 Hara Teramachi, Higashi-ku, Sakai City, Osaka9:00-17:00Wednesday️Closed (in front of the store)✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚✩.*˚#Issindo#IssindoFruitDaifuku#FruitDaifuku#AppleDaifuku#Apple#Crispy#SakaiMainStore#LimitedTime#HankyuUmedaMainStore#AbenoHarukasKintetsu#KobeHankyu#SakaiTakashimaya

Located about a 5-minute walk from Hagiwara Tenjin Station on the Nankai Koya Line, near the Higashi Ward Office. This place became famous for its fruit daifuku long before the trend of "sectional gourmet" took off. I first discovered it about 15 years ago when they only had two types of daifuku: strawberry with white bean paste and strawberry with coarse bean paste, both bite-sized. Nowadays, with the fruit daifuku trend, they offer a variety of fruits besides strawberries. I happened to pass by recently and bought some for home. I started with the classic "strawberry daifuku (with white bean paste)." It was just as delicious as I remembered, with the chewy mochi and smooth sweetness of the white bean paste. I also bought pineapple and mandarin orange daifuku, but personally, I still think the strawberry daifuku is the best. You can find them in department store basements like Hankyu Umeda or Takashimaya Namba. As a fan, I hope they continue to strive as a specialty sweet in Sakai City.

My daughter brought me a treat because she found an empty parking space. She bought Fruit Daifuku with juicy fruits. It's too good to eat in one bite, savor it.

One Shin-Do in Sakai City is famous for its fruit daifuku. Every time I try to decide what to buy, but when I look at the showcase, I end up wanting everything, which is a dilemma. This time, I bought persimmon daifuku, early mandarin orange daifuku, and La France pear daifuku. I immediately cut them open. The cut on the mandarin orange daifuku was a bit awkward because I couldn't tell which way the orange was facing. All the daifuku were sweet and juicy. The persimmon had a premium option, but even the regular one was delicious enough.

One of the famous shops in Sakai City known for their fruit daifuku, Isshindo, has released their pear daifuku this year! I also bought my favorite peach daifuku and pineapple daifuku together. When I tried to cut them in half, the fruit was so soft, which raised my expectations. The peach daifuku was perfectly ripe and sweet. The pineapple daifuku had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, very tasty. And the pear was juicy and sweet! They were delicious, but I have to admit, after eating three at once, I was so full!

Near Hagiharatenjin Station on the Nankai Koya Line, there is a traditional Japanese sweets shop called Isshindo. They are famous for their fruit daifuku. There are a few parking spots nearby, but be careful as the road is narrow. The peach daifuku is highly recommended. Inside the large daifuku, there is a juicy peach. It may be a bit pricey at 500 yen each, but the taste makes it worth it. The muscat daifuku is smaller, but has a more delicate flavor. This shop will make you want to try all their daifuku. The warabimochi sells out quickly, so it's best to visit early. Thank you for the delicious treats!

This year, the peaches have arrived~ This year, the peaches have arrived~ They're here, they've arrived, they're here! Yes, they've arrived at Isshindo, a famous fruit daifuku shop in Sakai City. Once again this year, the popular peach daifuku is available! Additionally, I also purchased the pineapple daifuku, which has been transformed into Okinawan pineapple. First, let's take a look at the cross-section. When I cut it, you can see how juicy it is. And both of them have a sweet aroma. The peach daifuku is incredibly sweet and delicious as always. And the Okinawan pineapple daifuku is also juicy and has a strong sweetness! Actually, a few days ago (on a weekday), I went to buy the peach daifuku around 2 pm, but to my surprise, they were sold out. It seems like the peach daifuku is very popular again this year!

Recently popular fruit daifuku from the famous store Isshindou, which has its main store in Osaka and also has outlets in department stores. There is a parking lot for 4 cars outside the store, with about 10 people waiting. They offer a variety of options like condensed milk strawberry daifuku, peach daifuku, etc. ranging from ¥350. The prices vary depending on the ingredients, with fruits like mango, muscat, and peach being more expensive. The fruits are large and juicy, with thin mochi. The high-quality and fresh fruits are delicious, but they are small so they disappear quickly. Overall, it's a great choice for souvenirs and gifts.

A shop selling traditional Japanese sweets in Sakai, Osaka. I decided to stop by because their fruit daifuku is famous. I visited close to closing time, so they only had strawberry daifuku left. I bought it since it's their most popular item. The strawberry daifuku with white bean paste cost around 400 yen. I unwrapped it and cut it in half. Inside, there was white bean paste with a whole strawberry in the middle. The strawberry looked juicy even from the cross-section. I took a bite and first noticed that the white bean paste was sweeter than I expected. The mochi was soft and chewy. The strawberry was juicy, but quite sour. Overall, it was too sweet for my taste and the balance wasn't quite right. They make different types of daifuku depending on the season, so it might be worth trying different fruits to find your favorite.

It's been a really long time since I visited Isshindou, a traditional Japanese confectionery store in Sakai established in 1955. Their fruit daifuku is popular, and now they have stores in Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, Hankyu Umeda Store, Takashimaya Sakai Store, and Kobe Hankyu Store, as well as online sales nationwide.
- Condensed milk strawberry daifuku: A delicious strawberry daifuku with a milky condensed milk cream and the sweet and sour taste of strawberries.
- Mango daifuku: A tropical daifuku with a ripe and rich mango wrapped in soft mochi and white bean paste.
- Watermelon daifuku: A summer limited edition with juicy watermelon juice oozing out. The combination of elegant white bean paste and overflowing watermelon juice is delicious. It's surprising to turn a watery watermelon into a daifuku! I'm always impressed by their delicious fruit daifuku. Thank you for the treat!

It's been a while since I visited Isshindo and I chose the Fruit Daifuku with strawberry and pomelo. The pomelo flavor is limited edition, so I ended up picking it without realizing. Sometimes I want to take a photo of the cross-section, and this time it turned out pretty neat. Both were very sweet as usual. I can't wait for the peach season to arrive soon!

It's been a while since I visited Isshindou. Nowadays, fruit daifuku is not uncommon, but they have been offering it for a long time. On this day, I purchased strawberry and orange sakura mochi & uguisu mochi. I'm not a fan of traditional Japanese sweets, but I like these. Because there is only a small amount of white bean paste, and mostly fruit. The orange is so sweet. The strawberry is also very sweet.

Visit on February 26, 2022. Alcohol is automatically dispensed in front of the store, but it is at the eye level of small children, so please be careful! There were three groups inside the store, but it was difficult to proceed to the cashier. I used a basket in the store to pick items and wait in line at the cashier, but I ended up waiting inside the store for over 5 minutes. When I tried to check out, the items were taken out of the basket, rearranged on a tray, and then packed in a box for payment. It seemed like a confirmation process of what was purchased?! Considering the customers waiting outside the store, unnecessary steps should be eliminated. It was a day when I understood the reason for the slow flow.

I received this as a souvenir. Chocolate strawberry daifuku is a first for me! The sweetness of the chocolate, the chewy mochi, and the acidity and sweetness of the strawberry all come together deliciously. Pineapple, chestnut, and orange daifuku were also very delicious! I love the fruit daifuku here! \(^o^)/

Delicious fresh fruit-filled daifuku. A thin layer of mochi wrapped around fresh fruit makes for a delightful gift. I had a muscat daifuku. A large muscat grape is wrapped in white bean paste and mochi. The muscat is fresh, sweet, and almost melts in your mouth. Thank you for the treat.

I completely forgot about my grandmother's birthday, so my son looked up what would be good and we ended up at Isshindou for their fruit daifuku. This fruit daifuku is famous in Sakai and is even sold at Kintetsu Department Store Abeno Harukas. I had received 10 of them as a gift before, so I can vouch for the taste. The parking lot had space for 4 cars, and it was almost full. I decided to wait in line first, while my son parked and joined me after about 10 minutes. Inside the store, they were limiting the number of customers to 6 at a time for infection prevention. The couple behind us in line mentioned that if they didn't get the Mont Blanc daifuku, they would go to Harukas, so I was also considering the Mont Blanc. However, it was sold out and I ended up getting the following: Strawberry Daifuku (always a safe choice), Premium Muscat Daifuku (crisp and juicy muscat grapes with white bean paste), and Ichigo no Ousama Daifuku (strawberry king, with a lot of filling). The Premium Muscat Daifuku had only two left, so I grabbed them quickly! The Mikan Daifuku was already sold out. We arrived just before 3 pm, but it seems it would have been better to come a bit earlier. My son took care of the payment, and I was told that if we waited 5 more minutes outside, we could have gotten the Mont Blanc daifuku. I wish I had bought more, as the expiration date is only 2 days. My son regretted not buying more, as he enjoyed it so much. My grandparents also loved the Strawberry Daifuku, saying it was different and very delicious. The unique flavors really make a difference!
