【Cream Pan】230 yen
The brioche dough is rich and has a nice aroma. The sweetness of the cream also has a vanilla flavor, creating a rich and delicious taste. The portion size is decent.
【Fruit Half】460 yen
The high-hydration dough is filled with high-quality dried fruits packed tightly inside. It is quite heavy to hold and is considered one of the specialties. The fruits are really delicious, and even though the dough is mostly just a binder, it is also tasty.
【Baguette】340 yen
Made with low-temperature matured natural yeast fermentation, the crust is crispy while the crumb is chewy and flavorful. It goes well with anything and is a high-level baguette.
【An Panini】240 yen
A small round Campanile with delicious chunky red bean paste and Yotsuba butter sandwiched inside. The Campanile and the red bean paste go well together, and the butter does a great job. The Campanile has a strong pull and a chewy texture. It's also delicious when heated and eaten.
【Viennoiserie Chocolat】270 yen
【Croissant】270 yen
【Danish with Cream on Top】300 yen
I forgot the official name, but the sound of the Danish is light and cheerful. Inside, there is a very moist almond cream with a strong vanilla flavor. On top, there is the same rich custard as the cream pan.
【Cinnamon Roll】
The brioche dough is delicious! Unexpectedly, there are plenty of raisins in it. It's sweet and delicious. The sweetness of the cinnamon and raisins, along with the sugar glaze on top, is a delight for those with a sweet tooth. It's a delightful cinnamon roll.

This is my favorite bakery. Since they moved to Fushimi Inari and changed to a style where the staff serve you, it has become a bakery that is easy to visit even with children, which makes me very happy. Going to a bakery with children can be quite challenging with trays and tongs. Personally, I love their an-pan and always end up buying it.

I went to the old location of Fujimori without knowing that they had moved. They are now located right next to Fushimi Inari Station, two shops down. When I arrived at the restaurant after 3 p.m., there were no other customers. The system is that you choose your bread, and then the staff will pick it up for you. In the past, there were reviews mentioning that the staff were not very friendly, but this time, the service was normal with a female staff member who seemed like a part-timer. I did not confirm whether photography inside the store is still prohibited as it was mentioned in past reviews. There were many types of bread, and I had a hard time choosing, but I ended up buying two that I had seen frequently in previous articles and two that suited my taste. I warmed them up at home. They were a bit overcooked and had a burnt taste, but they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The Punch Chocolate Chip Croissant with Sausage and Potato Quiche set for around 1,200 yen is a souvenir for my wife. I previously bought it and it was delicious, so I revisited Eight. It's on the way back from Nishiki's Tonkotsu Ramen. The place is packed with customers! It's a super popular restaurant with lots of delicious hard bread options. I had a hard time choosing, but ended up with the four items mentioned above! Ah, I should have bought the An Butter... The most delicious item this time was the sausage one. It's a crispy outside, soft inside bread like French bread with a delicious sausage sandwiched inside and tasty cheese on top!! And the surprising part is that there's orange peel between the bread and the sausage! The citrus acidity and sweetness are a perfect match! You can only experience this at Eight. It was delicious. The quiche was also good, with the potatoes being tasty and the occasional anchovy saltiness adding a nice touch! The chocolate chip bread also had a citrus cream inside! It's exciting and delightful to find hidden ingredients that are not commonly combined elsewhere! I will definitely go back.

I went there thinking it was before the move to Fushimi Inari Shrine at the beginning of the year, but there were no bread baskets at all (10 am). I was disappointed. I thought there was nothing to buy, and I wondered what to do. It seems that it will be until tomorrow for the year, but... I don't want to be disappointed again this year if I don't go...

Today I was working in Kyoto's Fujimori, and in the midst of a busy morning, I came across this bakery, Eight. With 2 staff members, the interior looks simple yet stylish. With not much time, I chose a bacon bread and a porcini mushroom quiche. The aroma of the porcini mushrooms in this quiche is amazing! I plan to have the bacon for lunch. At the checkout, I noticed they have been awarded by Tabelog, I was surprised at how delicious this quiche is! From now on, my mornings in Fujimori will be at Eight ♫ Thank you for the meal!

I came to Kyoto, the city with the highest bread consumption in Japan! Kyoto, which is twinned with my hometown, Bread Star, has many bakeries along the way like a happy mouse in a cheese factory. [Shop Notes] ◆Selected as one of the Top 100 Bread Shops WEST 2017-2022 in a row 🎉 ◆No photography allowed inside the shop. ◆Cash payment only [Items Received] ◆Cinnamon Roll 300 yen ⭐︎3.4 Moist brioche dough rolled with almond cream, raisins, and cinnamon, finished with brandy-infused icing. Personally, I found the icing too sweet (sweeter than Starbucks but less sweet than Cinnabon). ◆Black Bean and Cream Cheese 260 yen ⭐︎3.3 Cream cheese with the flavor of Tamba black beans wrapped in dough. The filling may be a bit too heavy. ◆Cream Pan 230 yen ⭐︎3.5 Cream pan with brioche dough, enjoyed while still warm. The cream is lightly sweet and rich. The scent of liquor adds a touch of sophistication. Sugar lumps provide an interesting texture. I'm not a big fan of cream pan, but this one was delicious. ◆Chestnut-filled Anpan 230 yen ⭐︎3.3 Filled with a modestly sweet Hokkaido red bean paste and a whole chestnut. The bread is thin and fluffy. Recommended for those who like plenty of sweet bean paste. The crust was nicely browned. Cash payment only, no photography allowed inside the shop, no bread names on the receipt, etc., left me disappointed despite the excitement of a bread lover. However, it was understandable why they were chosen as one of the Top 100 Bread Shops. [Other] ◆Bread Review 163rd shop ◆Prices include tax.

I visited this restaurant in the morning of December 2022. The shop is located on the first floor of a building, with one customer already there and a couple more arriving shortly after. The bread I wanted to buy seemed to be in the process of being prepared, so I asked how long it would take for it to be ready. They mentioned it would take a bit of time as they were working on other tasks, so I decided to browse around the store and chose a different bread to eat immediately and one that looked easy to carry, a small-sized one. If I didn't plan on visiting other bakeries or doing more sightseeing, there were many lovely bread options that I would have liked to buy more of. I noticed they had Stollen available, which caught my interest, but I decided against it considering portability. I opted for a cream bread to eat right away, debating between a melon bread and a chocolate bread. It was the right choice to buy!! The cream bread had a very soft brioche-like dough with a generous amount of fragrant cream infused with vanilla beans and Kirschwasser, just the right amount of sweetness! It was still slightly warm as it was freshly baked, and the cream bread melted in my mouth with deliciousness. I enjoyed the Fig Noir at home. The figs were chunky, soft, cooked with a hint of spice. The dough with walnuts and rye was deep in flavor and had a great texture, a type of bread that I really liked. The breads I didn't buy this time, like the Campagne bread, honey-coated bread, deli bread with vegetables or quiche, and the Viennese bread filled with plenty of pearl chocolates, all looked delicious. If this bakery were nearby, I probably would end up visiting frequently. *At the time of my visit, the shop was located at a station where I wouldn't have stopped if this shop wasn't there during my trip, but it seems they relocated to Fushimi Inari Station after my visit!! This makes it easier to drop by even during a trip.

Viennois Chocolat for 270 yen. It's a delicious chocolate cream & chocolate chip pastry that tastes like it's from a chocolate specialty sweets shop. Sunrise for 200 yen. The cookie part is thick and perfectly baked, giving it a deliciously fragrant taste. Beef tendon curry bread for 250 yen. The beef tendon curry is amazingly delicious. The thin dough is crispy and irresistible. Cinnamon roll for 300 yen. The sponge cake-like dough is fluffy and melts in your mouth, of high quality. Egg and mayonnaise with truffle sauce on brioche for 400 yen. The garlic might be a bit overpowering. Those who like it will probably get hooked. All prices include tax.

Located near Fushimi Station on the Keihan line in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Pan Hyakumeiten is a bakery. Perhaps due to the nearby girls' school, there are hardly any breads on the central table, but instead, quiches seem to be continuously baked. I bought the Salmon Quiche, returned to the empty bench on the deserted Keihan train platform, and enjoyed the crispy and flavorful quiche in solo travel mode.

This restaurant, which had been a topic of conversation among my bread-loving friends for some time, was finally visited by me out of curiosity. It is located about a 2-minute walk from Keihan Fujimori Station. Although there was information that photography inside the store is not allowed and the staff are unfriendly, it didn't bother me much. There were quite a lot of bread varieties lined up, and I had a hard time deciding what to get, but ended up purchasing the following: An Pan for 240 yen, Cream Pan for 230 yen, Blueberry and Cream Cheese for 230 yen, Quiche Porcini for 380 yen, Tonkatsu Roll for 300 yen, and Vienna Chocolat for 270 yen. The An Pan has a rye dough with a moderately sweet red bean paste and four-leaf clover butter. The Cream Pan has custard with Kirsch Wasser and vanilla beans as highlights. The custard cream was rich and had a deep flavor that I absolutely loved. The generous portion was also a plus. The Quiche Porcini, which also contains Gruyere cheese, seemed like it would be even tastier with a stronger flavor. The Tonkatsu Roll was slightly sweet, with a flavor that even children would enjoy. I chose the Vienna Chocolat for its cute appearance. It has brioche dough with a chocolate cream similar to terrine, chocolate pearls, and anise to finish. It was delicious but quite sweet. I recommend it to chocolate lovers. All the breads were delicious and I was very satisfied. I would like to revisit and try other breads next time.

I went to Miyabi-san to have foam ramen and bought souvenirs on the way back for my wife. I had been eyeing this place for a while, passing by it dozens of times... Finally, I made it! It was around 11:30 am on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant is stylish, with about 20 types of bread displayed. They have a variety of deli and sweet bread. I bought a chocolate-filled bread, a spinach-filled bread, and a braised pork bread, each priced at around 300 yen. And, miraculously, my wife also bought bread from Eight-san! And none of them were the same! My wife got a cream cheese cream bread and a sesame quiche, and we had a bread party laughing together! The one with chocolate had round chocolates visible on the outside and chocolate cream inside! The cream bread was delicious with cream and caramel on top! The braised pork bread had a flavor that men would like, slightly sweet! Anyway, I recommend toasting them before eating! The crispy texture will make you impressed! They were so delicious, but we couldn't finish all seven pieces, so we'll save some for tomorrow! Next time we pass by, we'll buy more! Thank you for the meal!

I went around 2 p.m. and there were various types of bread. I bought a butter and ham sandwich to take home. The butter and ham unexpectedly matched very well and were delicious. Also, the texture of the bread and the aroma of the wheat were exquisite!

A addictive bread filled with a variety of flavors that makes you want to eat at Eight-san after a long time ♡ A must-try repertoire for those who like hard bread! With plenty of nuts and dried fruits, it's recommended to enjoy a little by little with alcohol♪ I went around 3 PM this time, but there were fewer varieties left, so I recommend going in the morning!

Rich curry with moist bread was great! Visited for the first time at the shop of Kyoto Fujimori, one of the top 100 bread shops. Visited at 10 am on Saturday and entered immediately without waiting in line outside. Took photos inside the store, then purchased the beef tendon curry bread. The rich curry with moist bread was delicious! My preference would be for the curry to be a bit more moist.

I heard that they offer delicious hard bread in Kyoto, but I hadn't been able to go there before because I didn't have plans to visit this area. This time, I decided to visit the famous Eikando Temple and Ito Jakuchu's Gohyakurakan at Sekizan Zen-in Temple, and finally, I was able to visit Eight here. The location is a 2-minute walk from Keihan Main Line Fujimori Station. When you leave the east exit, cross the bridge over Lake Biwa Canal, walk along the Meishin Expressway, and it's right around the corner. The shop has a chic and boutique-like design. This time, I had the Fruit and Nut bread, which was filled with plenty of dried fruits and nuts, giving it a satisfying texture. It would have been even better if there was more rye flavor! The hard bread (I forgot the name) was delicious with a grainy texture from the miscellaneous grains. I want to make time to revisit this shop. Thank you for the meal. (^人^)

About 5 minutes from Keihan Fujimori Station. A popular local bakery. Mainly sells hard bread. There is a wide variety of choices, making it fun to decide which one to get. Useful for both home consumption and gifts. The impression is that all three, sweet, salty, and sour flavors are balanced well. Now, what should I buy next? Thank you for the meal!

Visited around 10:30 on Friday. It was a weekday, but because it was during the Obon period, customers kept coming in one after another. There are two entrances, and the restaurant is glass-walled. They have a lot of hard bread, including quiche. The overall lineup is more geared towards adults, and there were many things that caught my eye, but I ended up buying 5 or 6 types. All of them were delicious and stylish bread.

Just a short walk from Fujimori Station on the Keihan Main Line, there is a wonderful bakery with a wide variety of delicious bread! When you enter the store, you'll see a table in the middle filled with mouth-watering bread, and on the counter, there are also crusty bread options! I had three for lunch today, and they were really delicious! I definitely want to try more types of bread next time. Thank you for the meal.

After having udon for lunch, I visited this place for the first time in a while. I used to come here almost every week. It was around 12:30, and there were still various types of dishes available. This time, I mainly bought side dishes, and they were all delicious without a doubt. I would like to try buying some sweets next time.

After leaving Okawa Udon, I stopped by a bakery near Fujimori Station called "Pan Hyakumeiten." Since I had already eaten a lot of bread in the morning, I bought a croissant and a baguette cereal for the next day's breakfast. When you bite into the croissant, you can feel the crispiness and the aroma of butter bursting in your mouth. The baguette seems like it would be good both as is and toasted. Thank you for the meal.
