I visited the second restaurant in Shin-Umeda Food Street for some bar hopping. Although the menu is not extensive, every dish I tried was delicious. It's the kind of place where you can eat quickly and move on, but also want to keep coming back for more. The yakitori was especially tasty and made me want to keep eating it.

Located in Shin Umeda Food Street. Open at 3:00 PM, with a lively "dozo yakitori" greeting. I entered at 4:25 PM. There seems to be a complimentary dish, and they are grilling it. Hot sake is served in a hot tin container, around 120ml. There are ashtrays available, so you can smoke without worry. Mainichi Broadcasting System staff were visiting regularly. Grated daikon, lemon, and mustard are casually placed on the table. The skewers seem to be recycled. The complimentary dish consists of 4 small skewers of chicken skin and meat. I ordered the "neodondon" (heart) which was tender and priced at 175 yen per skewer (must order 2 skewers, excluding tax). The cooking is just right, not overdone, and the meat is cooked through. I ordered a second round. The "neopinpin" (liver) is thinly skewered, without any shichimi or sansho, just salt and green onions. Overall, the "neodondon" heart skewer was my favorite. The service is quick, and the yakitori is surprisingly fast to be served. It is delicious. The portion size is slightly small, but the quick service is a plus. The total bill came to 2750 yen. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

The small eateries lined up inside the station have a nice Osaka-like atmosphere. Among them, this time I tried the yakitori. I'm not sure if this is the Osaka way of drinking, but the skewers were generally small, as if implying "please try multiple." The prices are also cheap, allowing you to quickly taste various items. Rather than getting full here, it might be better to visit different shops.

Umeda, Osaka's Torihira Moto-ten is located near Hankyu Umeda Station in the new Umeda food alley. It was a little past 2 p.m. on a holiday. I went to a certain yakitori restaurant in the food alley, but it was crowded. So, I decided to explore the food alley. There were so many options, making it difficult to choose. Among them, Torihira stood out. There are multiple Torihira restaurants in the food alley, which makes me wonder if it used to be a different type of restaurant before. It's like the "Mandarake" phenomenon in the food alley. The name "Osaka's Best" also caught my attention. So, I decided to go inside. I started with a beer, choosing Asahi Super Dry. It came with mustard, lemon, and grated daikon radish. The grated daikon radish is meant to cleanse the palate. Then, we were served an appetizer of duck meat and skin. This was interesting because it's the first time I've had yakitori as an appetizer. This restaurant specializes in duck yakitori. The menu was unique with few options and interesting names. For example, one skewer of yakitori (green pepper) costs 193 yen. I also ordered a highball. I tried skewers of duck liver, neck skin, and a trio of minced duck meat in three colors (lotus root, green pepper, and leek) for 660 yen. It felt like playing mahjong. The skewers were small but allowed me to enjoy the duck. The unique menu and focus on duck yakitori make this restaurant truly one-of-a-kind. I hope they continue to thrive in the new Umeda food alley.

First visit, I was drawn in by the atmosphere of the exterior of the restaurant. It was around 4pm, but there were already some menu items sold out. The appetizer was yakitori, and all the dishes were delicious in terms of flavor and grilling. However, I felt that the cost performance was a little poor. Thank you for the meal.

"Osaka I Torihira" in the Shin Umeda Food Street. Torihira has several branches, but I have tried to visit several times and it's always full. It's a really small restaurant with a counter of 10 round stools. Finally, at 9 pm, there was a vacant seat, so I put my bag on top of my shoes and entered. The bill came to 2200 yen for a beer, 4 skewers as appetizers (duck thigh and skin), liver, grilled chicken (bell pepper), and sandfish. When asked if I wanted skewers as a starter, I said yes, and they came right after the beer. The portions are small, so they cook quickly. The duck thigh and skin were juicy and delicious. Before finishing, I added 3 more varieties, and they gave me 2 skewers each without me specifying the number. The liver was perfectly cooked, tender, and moist. Grilled bell pepper with salt was also delicious, with a good texture. The portions are small, but they cook quickly and are perfectly cooked. I left the restaurant after about 25 minutes. There is no space to put large bags, so they offer to hold them for you. The restaurant has other branches in Shin Umeda with different colors for the curtains and counter. If you're interested, please save this restaurant for future reference.

I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a knowledgeable acquaintance about delicious restaurants. I ordered the recommended course. The staff was a bit quirky, but the grilled chicken and sauce were excellent and surprisingly good. Although it's a bit pricey, I think it's worth a visit.

On a regular weeknight, visited with a friend for the first time. It's located in the New Umeda dining district, so be careful when meeting up as there are other similar restaurants nearby. Also, the aisle by the counter is narrower than expected, so it's better to bring fewer belongings! We ordered the yakitori omakase style from the chef. Conclusion: it was the right choice! They served it at a nice pace and it was delicious! It's quite deep in terms of atmosphere, but that adds to the charm.

Today, I had dinner here♪ It's located in the Shin Umeda Food Street. It was early so I could easily get a seat. I ordered a highball black and the appetizer was three skewers of grilled chicken. Maybe I don't need to order anything else? (laughs) But I asked for chicken skin since I hadn't tried it before. There wasn't much skin, but it was delicious! The seasoning and cooking were done well, very tasty! It's fatty and delicious. However, the staff was a bit unfriendly (laughs). Thank you for the meal♪

I was peeking at the menu to see what they had, and I was encouraged to come in. The appetizer was three skewers, a bit small. The skewers I ordered were a good size and very satisfying. I went with the chef's choice and they brought out dishes one after another. I am full now. [Food] Liver, heart, tomato, green pepper, tail, green onion with chicken, egg, gizzard, skin, chicken wings, etc. [Drink] Bottled beer large (Akahoshi).

Located down the escalator in front of the Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station platform, this place is tucked away in a back alley. Counter-based shops line the narrow street, offering a small menu of interesting skewers that go well with drinks. The first photo shows kinkan (kumquat) and egg, while the second photo shows the seed inside the kumquat before it becomes ripe. I happened to taste it during the preparation. This is a great place to casually stop by for a bite and drinks before heading home.

In Osaka, the yakitori restaurant was surprisingly quiet after the long weekend, with only 2 customers before us. The appetizer of grilled duck and leeks was unexpected but delicious, with a nice fatty flavor. We tried the heart and gizzard, both were fresh and perfectly cooked. If you're craving yakitori in Osaka, I would definitely go back to this place.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it's been difficult to choose a place for dinner and a drink. I wandered around a building near the station, but most of the shops were either closed or too crowded for my liking. It was already past 7 PM when I decided to head to the Umeda Food Street, where I found a cozy restaurant where I could maintain a safe distance from others. I had been craving yakitori for a while, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant has been around since 1952, so it's a well-established place. They served duck yakitori as a starter, which was small but perfect as a snack with drinks. The sauce was light, and the yakitori had a delicious smoky flavor from being grilled over charcoal. They also included small pieces of bell pepper and onion between the meat, which added a nice touch. I think other restaurants should follow suit. This place specializes in duck dishes, so I recommend trying the duck yakitori. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I was recommended to visit "Torihira" by a local in Osaka for my business trip. It is a yakitori restaurant located in a dining district near Umeda Hankyu. I arrived at the restaurant around 4 PM and there were no other customers yet. It felt a bit lonely, but as a solo diner, it was nice to be able to eat without worrying about bothering others. I started with a beer and had four appetizer skewers, which were fresh and tender. Feeling motivated, I decided to try the menu starting from the right side with the "Neo Dondon." Everything was delicious! My favorite was the "Neo Horumon," which had a firm texture different from regular horumon. I asked the chef and learned that it was actually duck fat. That's why it's called "Neo"! The only downside was that the portions were a bit small and the prices were slightly higher. After trying a variety of dishes and having three drinks, I ended up spending a bit over 6,000 yen. Overall, the taste, location, and atmosphere were great, but the value for money could be better.

The restaurant is located in Umeda Shin Shokudo Street. Among the various shops packed together, this is a yakitori restaurant. We were lucky to find a seat available, so we started with bottled beer and were served with yakitori. The yakitori pieces were a bit small but easy to eat and delicious. They came with grated daikon radish, mustard, and lemon as condiments. The yakitori here is marinated, so you can enjoy it as it is or with mustard for a different flavor. We also tried the grilled green onion with salt and minced meat set, which included lotus root, green pepper, and tsukune. The minced meat was stuffed inside the lotus root and green pepper. Mustard goes well with them. We ordered a highball and had another round of yakitori. Satisfied with the meal.

I went to the "Osaka I Torihira Honten" in the Shin-Umeda Food Street. I had 2 servings of sand liver for 150 yen each, and 2 servings of chicken cartilage for 200 yen each. I also ordered 2 beers for 500 yen each. They serve otoshi with every drink order, which is good. The sand liver and chicken cartilage were small but tasty. It's a good place for a light meal, but the overall cost performance is not the best, especially with the beer.

This is a tobacco-friendly restaurant located in the Umeda dining district. As I was sitting down and looking at the menu to decide what to eat after ordering a drink, a plate of 4 skewers of grilled duck was served as a complimentary appetizer. It was my first time trying grilled duck on a skewer and it was delicious. However, it was a bit difficult to communicate with the staff when trying to order more because I couldn't easily identify which part of the duck was being served.

Around 13:00, there were two groups inside the restaurant. We started with beer and duck skewers (2 pieces of meat, 2 pieces of skin) as an appetizer. The skewers were small but packed with flavor, especially the delicious sauce. Since we were not sure about the menu names, we decided to leave the ordering to the chef. We had heart, liver, bypass skewers, three types of tsukune (green pepper, cherry tomato, lotus root), quail and kumquat skewers, shiitake mushroom and duck skewers, and bonjiri (male, female) skewers. All the skewers were small but tasty. We had a few beers and the total bill was a little over 5000 yen. The fact that they serve Asahi Lager beer was a nice touch. It may not be enough to fill you up, but it's a good amount for drinking. Thank you for the meal.

I visited on a regular night around 5:30 pm. I started with a bottle of beer to wet my throat. This is a yakitori restaurant with unique menu names like "Neo Dondon" and "Gold Daiya". We started with a 4-piece appetizer. Each skewer is small, but they are full of flavor and go well with alcohol. I then ordered the following items individually: minced meat trio, two skewers of gizzard, a comparison of two skewers of chicken tail, two skewers of shiitake mushroom with duck meat, and two eggs. Each skewer was cooked perfectly with a good balance of salt and a crisp texture. The shiitake mushroom with duck meat was especially delicious with a rich flavor. I only had beer and shochu highball, and the total bill came out to a little over 4,000 yen. The restaurant was constantly busy with customers coming and going, showing its popularity. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by a yakitori restaurant in the back of Umeda's new dining district for my third stop. I sat at the counter and had the chef's choice. Skewers kept coming out, about three at a time. They were small but all perfectly delicious. Each skewer was satisfying and enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.
