Eating a whole plate and still only consuming 600 calories is too good to be true! I'm so satisfied to have a healthy lunch. The soy milk pudding for dessert was delicious, so I'll definitely order a larger size next time I visit! I'd love to try other daily specials... Thank you for the meal♡

I visited the Genzan-an Nishi Umeda store located on the 1st floor of Osaka Station Front Building. It's a popular restaurant during lunchtime, and it was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2021. I visited at 3:30 PM, which is considered late for lunch. The customers at that time were all women, mostly dining alone. I ordered the Healthy Set Meal with 39 items (1,270 yen including tax), which included a vegetable salad, today's main dish (tofu steak with white miso and minced mushrooms), 3 seasonal side dishes (butter-soy sauce sautéed potatoes, cabbage with salted kombu, sesame miso dried daikon), brown rice (free refill), barley miso soup, and soy milk pudding for dessert. The main dish was tofu steak, which seemed a bit light, but it had a good flavor. I used to not like brown rice, but the one served here was fluffy with a nice texture, and it didn't have a strong smell. I wish I could have bought some to take home. I ended up getting a half portion of rice refill, but I still think it was a healthy meal. The pudding served on weekdays was soft and jiggly.

I used it for lunch on a holiday! The set menu included stir-fried pork with sweet bean sauce, Chinese-style meat and potatoes, something with okara, miso soup, and soy milk pudding. Everything was very delicious, low in calories, and healthy, but also satisfying in portion size! Since it's a daily special menu, I would like to visit again on another day!

I visited on a holiday at 12:30 pm. The restaurant was full, but there was only one group waiting in line. I wrote my name on the Lucky Waiting Board and waited. In less than 10 minutes, I was seated. This is a place that is also popular for takeout. When you feel like you've had too many heavy lunches, this is the place to go for a light and vegetable-packed meal with gentle flavors. I ordered the Healthy Set Meal with 39 items for ¥1270. It included Stir-fried Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce, Chinese-style Meat and Potatoes, Tofu Salad, Seaweed and Mushroom Stir-fry, Drinking Vegetable Salad, Miso Soup, Brown Rice, and Soy Milk Pudding. The main dish had a rich and flavorful sweet bean sauce with tender pork. I really love the soy milk pudding here. The gentle sweetness and bouncy texture are irresistible. It's nice to treat yourself to a healthy lunch once in a while to take care of your body. ✨

I visited around 3 pm on Saturday. Since it was not lunchtime, there was only one set meal option available, but there were additional options such as deep-fried gluten and a choice of 5 side dishes to go with the rice, making it a very luxurious lunch. Brown rice is free for seconds! The menu of the day was tofu hamburger, which was seasoned well and tasted great. The brown rice was cooked perfectly, so I had seconds! I also bought chocolate cookies with brown sugar and pound cake with soybean flour next to the cash register, and they were delicious too!

I arrived a little before the opening time of 11:30 on Saturday and there were already about 8 groups waiting in line, as it is a popular restaurant. However, we were seated right after the opening. The counter seats have partitions between each person, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy their meal. The daily lunch special, which is a popular menu item, had a variety of side dishes that were well-balanced and nutritious. Everything was delicious.

I arrived around 4:00 PM at the popular set meal restaurant. There was only one group of customers. They only serve set meals at this time. I was looking for something a bit lighter, but the food was delicious. I was happy that the flavor wasn't too strong, unlike many other restaurants. You can have unlimited servings of brown rice, but I was too full this time. They serve Pork Ketchup on Mondays, and the menu changes every day of the week, so I want to go back on a day other than Monday.

Today's weekday lunch was at "Gensan-an" on the 1st floor of Osaka Station Front Building. I arrived just after 12 o'clock and it was almost full, but I managed to get a seat. There are counter seats available, so it's fine to go alone. The customers were mostly women. Although I couldn't see the chef in the back, the staff also seemed to be mostly women. Before ordering, they served a vegetable juice made with apple juice as a salad. I ordered the Vegetable-packed Brown Rice Curry for 1,160 yen (with extra rice). The curry comes with three seasonal side dishes and a mini soy milk pudding as a lunchtime dessert. I was surprised to see hijiki seaweed and cucumber in one of the side dishes. The deep-fried vegetables on top of the curry were delicious. The eggplant, which goes well with oil, was tasty, and the daikon radish was also impressive. The daily special menu seems to be popular, but the vegetable-packed curry I had in the summer was also delicious. The spiciness of the curry was mild and easy to eat. It's understandable why it's popular as eating out often leads to a lack of vegetables. Also, the soy milk pudding dessert added to the satisfaction of the lunch. Genzan-an focuses on organic vegetables and seems to be popular among office ladies due to its convenient location. Thanks to the Bon holidays, I was able to enter without waiting in line! The customers were mostly women, which was my impression! Now, let me share what I ordered this time. - Daily 39-item Healthy Set Meal for 1270 yen Vegetable drink Mackerel tempura with refreshing aromatic sauce Brown rice Garlic-sautéed potatoes Fried eggplant Seaweed salad Barley miso soup Mini soy milk pudding I was told that this meal uses 39 different ingredients! Brown rice is all-you-can-eat, and if you visit by 6 pm, you also get a pudding! The menu even lists the calories for each dish, which I now understand why it's popular among women! I have visited the Hankyu Umeda branch a few times due to its convenient location, but this was my first time at the Nishi Umeda branch, located on the 1st floor of Osaka Station Front Building. They offer exclusive menu items at the Nishi Umeda branch, which adds to the charm of visiting different locations. This time, I had the 39-item healthy set meal and a dessert set (even though it was after the meal). Upon arrival, they serve a soothing apple-based vegetable juice, nuts, and ginger tea, which help you relax. The healthy set meal, with chicken as the main dish this time, was well-seasoned and satisfying, including the side dishes. The hot miso soup and the option to add pickles and grated yam for an additional cost were also delicious. For dessert, I love their soy milk pudding, and the dessert set with pudding, sweet potato, and walnut cake was also delightful. Although I had the regular healthy set meal this time, I was intrigued by the Nishi Umeda branch's exclusive menu item, the car fu katsu set meal, which looked incredibly delicious. Car fu is not something I eat often, so I definitely want to try it next time. I'm curious about the exclusive menu items at this branch.

I know I should have done this before feeling unwell. The small portions are nice because you can eat a variety of foods. The roasted carrots and potatoes are delicious. The apple-based vegetable juice served at the beginning has a nostalgic taste. The chicken cutlet has a decent amount of filling. I could have done without the soy milk pudding.

The daily set meal with 39 items is quite health-oriented. The chicken nanban with homemade tartar sauce is exquisite. Other items like grilled vegetables, hijiki seaweed, okara (soy pulp), and potato asparagus make it a menu focused on health, which is delightful. The rice is brown rice and refills are free. I arrived 5 minutes before the 11:30 am opening time and was third in line. Since I was alone, I chose to sit at the counter. Today, I ordered the chicken bowl. The service here is fast, which is great because I'm not here for a leisurely lunch. Even with bowl dishes, you get plenty of vegetables. On this day, I arrived a bit late so I was able to get a seat right away, but the curry I was hoping for was already sold out. Their curry is authentic and delicious, so it was disappointing. I ended up having the Vegetable Bibimbap for 1,050 yen including tax. It was a delicious way to make up for my usual lack of vegetables.

It was just before 1:30 pm on a weekday, so although there were two of us, we were able to sit down at the largest table smoothly. The ordering process and serving of the dishes were very smooth. Today's main dish was pork with sweet bean sauce stir-fry, and the side dishes included okara, dried daikon radish, and curry stir-fried potatoes. My companion had chicken with dipping sauce over rice. There were gluten-free snacks available, so we added a regular-sized drink, tart, and coffee jelly. The tart's base was made with brown rice flour, and the filling was sweet potato and walnuts. It was a bit pricey but delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Multiple drinks were included, each with a hint of ginger or apple flavor. I was able to have a second serving of brown rice and felt satisfied after having one. My impression is that I usually eat meat-heavy meals at work, but after eating a vegetable-centered meal, I feel like I have become healthier.
