JR Kitasenju Station West Exit is connected to Mildis 1st building in Senju, through a pedestrian deck. Inside the facility, there are parking lots, Mildis specialty shops, a food court, Marui department store, Theater 1010, and Senju Ward Office. It's more like Marui than Mildis. The Kitasenju Marui, located on B1F-9F of Mildis, is a shopping center. In the Marui Food Amusement Park on the 1st floor, you can find Yoku Moku Marui Kitasenju store, a Western confectionery shop. Yoku Moku is a small town surrounded by forests and lakes, located about 800km north of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. It was born in 1969, the year when humans first landed on the moon. Their popular product is called Cigare, which is a cookie made with plenty of butter, rolled up like a cigar. I visited around 4 pm on a weekday, humming along to Kuwata's "Kawaii Mina". The store was there, not closed. In the showcase, there were various baked goods. The Cigare Au Matcha, with 6 pieces for 864 yen, was released in 2017 as a new flavor of Yoku Moku's flagship product Cigare after 13 years. The dough, made with plenty of butter, is mixed with matcha, baked, rolled up, and filled with matcha chocolate. The sweetness and richness of matcha, combined with the rich flavor of butter, create a slight bitterness that enhances the sweetness. The matcha flavor is strong, making it satisfying even with just one piece. After finishing it, let's end with a cute Mina. Singing in falsetto here adds a realistic feel, so give it a try.

This is a shop on the first floor of Marui Kitasenju store. I visited amidst the Valentine's season crowd, and found that Yoku Moku also had Valentine's products. However, they were sold out. They had a product called Chocola Cigare, which consists of two types coated in milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate. I plan to buy some for home use if I come across it next time. In the end, I bought the classic Cigare, which had a sophisticated taste with a good buttery flavor. It's a treat that anyone would be delighted to receive.
