It's been a while since I visited Shio Gensui. I came here relying on the memory of how delicious it was, but first of all, the noodles were hard. The salt flavor was also weak, so I guessed that they might have changed things to cut costs. The side dishes of fried chicken and dumplings were not tasty for the price either, so I was disappointed compared to my expectations.

Salt Marshal's First Visit❕I'm not a big fan of salt ramen, but I was recommended by a colleague to visit this place. I usually prefer rich and heavy ramen, so I wasn't too excited. However, when the standard salt ramen was served, I took a sip of the soup and was surprised! It was refreshing yet flavorful with a rich depth that paired perfectly with the medium-thick noodles. It was incredibly delicious! They also had all-you-can-eat kimchi, but since it's not to my liking, I went during off-peak hours and was able to enjoy my meal without any wait. Since my workplace is nearby, I plan on visiting again!

I always end up coming back to Shio Gensui. On this day, it was so hot that I ordered their summer limited cold ramen called "Shijimi Dashi Tanrei Hiyashi Shio Ramen" for 980 yen including tax. It has a double soup of shijimi clam umami broth and chicken broth, with chicken breast meat! Ah, delicious. And you can get a free extra serving. Of course, I got it! Thank you for the meal!

I always have the image of a ramen shop that is always bustling with people. I visited on a weekday night and had to wait a bit before being seated. They offer a variety of refreshing ramen options. They also have summer menu items, so I would like to go back again. The side menu items like gyoza were also delicious.

Yes, the salt ramen is great, and the tsukemen is also good. The thick noodles have a nice chewiness, the hot dipping broth is delicious, and the chashu inside is flavorful. During weekdays at lunchtime, you'll inevitably have to put your name on a waiting list and wait a bit. The taste is good though. Thank you for the meal, I'll come back again.

Since July last year, I visited "Shio Gensui Nishinakajima Store" today for lunch. It has been a while since my last visit in July last year. I arrived at 12:41 and found a seat easily. I ordered fried rice and ramen, which arrived promptly at 12:47. The gyoza also arrived shortly after. I paid at 13:00 and left the restaurant. The total cost was 1350 yen for the ramen and fried rice set. The ramen with natural salt was delicious as always, and the fried rice was perfectly cooked. I have been coming to Shiomarshall for the past few years. Even when my stomach is feeling a bit tired, I can still enjoy their ramen, which I really like. Today, I had it with gyoza, and the staff here is always friendly and cheerful, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. The taste and ambiance have been consistently good, which is why I keep coming back. I will definitely visit again!

Kendo Kobayashi's irresistible restaurant was recommended as a place with delicious fried rice. Although I had doubts because Salt General had been to other restaurants, I was in the mood to eat fried rice to my heart's content, so it was my first visit. It was past 1 pm on a weekday, and there was a wait of 6 groups, so I wrote my name on the board and waited for a while. Looking inside the restaurant, I saw a wall filled with autographs, which clearly set it apart from other restaurants, increasing my expectations. I ordered the fried rice set with extra large portion, which was not shown in the photos. The fried rice served was more than I expected, and I was worried if I could finish it. But when I took a bite, it was fluffy and well-seasoned, so I finished it all. As recommended, it was definitely worth it. The ramen had the same impression as other reviewers, but it clearly surpassed other branches of the same chain by a head and a half. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the original store of Shiomonsui, which can be considered as the headquarters, in Nishinakajima for natural salt ramen and fried rice. It was my first time this year, as I had to give up twice before due to long lines. There was no line this time, but still had to wait for 30 minutes to get inside. - The soup with a refreshing yuzu flavor was delicious as always. - The tender chashu was just right. - The fried rice I ordered as a set was also delicious. I realized that Shiomonsui is my benchmark for salt ramen.

I changed the price of the natural salt ramen to 891 yen. The ramen contains yuzu, but if you don't like it, you can ask for it to be removed. For those who like it, you can even ask for extra yuzu. Also, kimchi was all-you-can-eat. It was refreshing but had a strong saltiness. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles. It was very delicious.

There used to be a restaurant called Shiomoto Sui Ryuo in Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture, where I used to visit once a month. Unfortunately, it closed last year. Shiomoto Sui was always my go-to for salt ramen. When I visited this time, I found out that there is a branch in Nishinaka, Osaka. I ordered the half-size set of natural salt ramen for lunch. When I tasted the natural salt ramen after a long time, I couldn't help but exclaim, "This is it!" Next time, I will try the salt plum ramen. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I wonder how many years it has been since I last had Shiomarshall's ramen. The natural salt ramen here might be my favorite among all the salt ramens. It has a hint of yuzu and the soup is really delicious! The half-fried rice is also tasty! I appreciate being able to eat plenty of kimchi!

I wanted to go to Yasuda-san's place, but they were closed, so I craved for salt ramen and came to this shop instead! When I come here, I always go for the reliable option of plum salt ramen with extra yuzu! I also ordered the dried fish rice for the first time. One thing I realized while eating this time is that the amount of noodles in the ramen here seems quite large. I consider myself a big eater, but my stomach felt quite full. (laughs)

Visited in December 2022. Finally, it's December again. The end of a super busy year is even busier. But we definitely want to have a proper meal, right? So, on the night we returned from the east, we visited "Shio Gensui Nishinakajima Store," our favorite local ramen chain in Kansai, where the salt ramen and yakimeshi are especially delicious! We arrived a little after 22:00, and the parking lot in front of the store, which can accommodate 4 cars, was full, so we used a coin parking lot across the road. There was a wait of about 3 groups, and we entered the store in less than 10 minutes... Here's what we had that day: - Miso Ramen - Natural Salt Ramen (for my husband) - Yakimeshi (shared) We had tried the salt ramen and soy sauce ramen before, but we had never tried the miso ramen. So, I confirmed with the young female staff that it was garlic-free and decided to order the miso ramen for the first time. Miso Ramen: The miso ramen uses a blend of 4 types of miso. The toppings include chashu, menma, bean sprouts, Kujyo negi, and shredded chili pepper. The slightly acidic soup is not too thick and can be enjoyed refreshingly. The noodles are the same medium-thick straight noodles as the salt ramen, and they mix well with the soup. As I slurped, minced meat also came out from the back!! I wanted a spoon with a hole in it (^_^;). The yakimeshi is great, but this ramen goes well with rice! Yakimeshi: The ingredients are simple - egg, green onions, and chashu. As expected, the yakimeshi is perfectly stir-fried, with a perfect balance of saltiness, making it an excellent match with the most popular salt ramen (≧▽≦)!! It's worth coming here just for the yakimeshi. I tried the miso ramen for the first time, but in terms of quality, the completion level of the natural salt ramen is higher. I was once again able to confirm that salt ramen is the best at Shio Gensui. However, this restaurant not only excels in the quality of its dishes but also has highly motivated staff and solid operations, so I can always eat here with peace of mind! The first time trying out Shiomarshall, of course, I ordered the natural salt ramen (large) which is included in the name. Since the portion was not enough, I also got the full set which includes fried rice and dumplings. I had it around 10 pm and it was delicious and refreshing, with the salt ramen leaving a lasting impression on my body. The fried rice was especially delicious, and I highly recommend trying it. However, the dumplings were just average, lacking a certain spark in my opinion. It was nice that kimchi was complimentary.

On Sunday around 3:50 PM, there were 3 customers at the counter and 3 parking spaces available out of 5. The restaurant offers all-you-can-eat kimchi, but the prices are a bit high, especially for a simple ramen with just umeboshi added, which cost over 1,000 yen. Salt General used to have a more prominent image in the past, but now it seems more subdued. I had tried it once before, over 5 years ago, and my expectations were not very high this time either. The ramen was decently tasty, with medium-thin straight noodles that had a good chewiness. The soup was quite oily, which was fine, but the chewiness of the noodles somewhat interfered with enjoying the soup's flavor. I thought I would like to try it with softer, thinner noodles. I had expected the soup to have a noticeable yuzu flavor, but I couldn't really taste it unless the actual yuzu fruit was in my mouth. Maybe it's just that the restaurant and I don't quite match.
