Wooden deck with wooden sash windows. Bright and warm atmosphere seeps out from inside. Our expectations were not let down at all. Items that are difficult to grill are cooked separately by the manager on a different iron plate. Of course, you can grill it yourself if you want, but since it was a social gathering, I asked them to do it for us without hesitation. Enjoying a luxurious live feeling while eating dishes that are just about to be ready right in front of you. - Cilantro Mashed Potatoes [Amazing]: Rich buttery aroma in a flavorful and creamy mashed potato with a refreshing cilantro flavor. A surprising combination but a very convincing match. - Wagyu Beef Hormone [Amazing]: The key seems to be in the grilling. They grilled it perfectly on a separate iron plate and brought it to our table. The umami and fat from the hormone are seeping into the cabbage. Visited the sister restaurant of Yoyogi-Uehara's Japanese restaurant "Hamo" with two little kids and a group of seven. They have a cozy sunken kotatsu seating area at the back, which was perfect for the kids. The wagyu hormone with lots of cabbage here is amazing! The cabbage becomes incredibly sweet when cooked in the premium hormone oil and dipped in the special sweet sauce - it's addictive! The owner has connections to Tsukiji, so the quality of the fish, vegetables, and meat is top-notch. The sand liver, turban shell, and yagen cartilage were all fantastic. The premium harami steak disappeared in an instant, and the pork and egg okonomiyaki was excellent. The pickled cucumber, clam, and dessert were also great. Had too much soda to take photos, but it was delicious as always!

Although the location is not the most convenient being in a residential area, around noon, customers started to come in one after another, indicating that it is loved by the locals. I often visit Rishu for casual okonomiyaki dining. My usual order includes anchovy cabbage, butter-grilled oysters, extra cabbage with wagyu hormone, tonpeiyaki, yakisoba, and Rishu tamaten. I always make sure to order the wagyu hormone grill. I like that their okonomiyaki is fluffy and light.

Okonomiyaki, shrimp with garlic sauce, and beef sagari steak were all delicious! They have a good selection of drinks as well. They will hold your coat for you, but be aware that there are no ventilation fans above the seats, so the smell can stick to your clothes. It's recommended to wear clothes that are easy to wash when you go there!

We visited this restaurant for the first time with a group of 15 people. The phone reservation process was smooth and they were understanding when we had to make changes. However, once we were there, the restaurant was full and it took a while for our food and drinks to arrive. The staff's attitude was disappointing, especially one younger server who was quiet but seemed to be trying hard. The problem arose when another staff member started to act rudely, leaving our glasses empty and showing impatience towards us, even speaking in a surprising tone. It was clear that they were overwhelmed by the full house. We tried to be considerate with our orders, but even when we offered to cook some dishes ourselves, it was rejected. We ended up paying nearly 70,000 yen at this okonomiyaki restaurant, but the service did not match the price. Overall, we felt that this restaurant is not suitable for large groups.

Gathered around a sunken kotatsu table with a teppan grill, perfect for 4 people. The seating arrangement is already appealing. The menu offers a wide variety of options including appetizers (cold and hot), various cuts of meat, and teppanyaki dishes like okonomiyaki, monjayaki, and yakisoba. There are also unique menu items that make you want to come back and try everything. The professionals (staff) handle all the grilling, so you can enjoy delicious food. You can eat and drink to your heart's content for less than 9,000 yen per person. Great value for money.

I had the "Mix C Teishoku" at "Riju" in Motoyoyogi-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. The nearest stations are Odakyu Odawara Line "Yoyogi-Hachiman Station" and Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line "Yoyogi-Koen Station", about a 6-minute walk away. I visited during lunchtime and my order arrived in about 13 minutes. The Mix C Teishoku came with grilled mackerel with salt, fried chicken, whitebait, torotaku (seasoned bonito flakes), hijiki seaweed, cold tofu, and pickles, served with rice and miso soup. The mackerel was tender and flavorful, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and all the side dishes paired perfectly with the rice. I enjoyed every bite and finished the meal in one go. I moved a little further away and decided to check out the restaurant. It seems like the menu has expanded! Almost all dishes are priced at 1,000 yen. The mixed set meals come in three types: A, B, and C. Today, my friends chose A and C. A consisted of grilled chicken and grilled salmon belly, while C had fried oysters and miso-grilled Spanish mackerel. I ordered the special jumbo striped beakfish grilled set meal (1,000 yen) and enjoyed a cup of hot tea while waiting. I was surprised to find out that the restaurant now offers a coffee service for customers who order set meals (please enjoy it in a takeout cup). The customers who finished their meals all knew about the coffee service and happily received their cups of coffee. I felt like I gained something. When the meal was served, it included simmered side dish, cold tofu, pickles, rice, miso soup, and the main dish, the jumbo striped beakfish, which was quite large and thick with a firm texture. The grated radish complemented the fish well. The beakfish was so big that I ended up ordering a half portion of rice as an extra. The service of being able to get a refill without any worries was great, but it was a bit disappointing that the staff members didn't seem to be smiling. I think the food is delicious, so everyone, please remember to "keep smiling"! Thank you for the meal.

Teppanyaki restaurant Rishu's grilled fish set meal. Although they specialize in okonomiyaki and teppanyaki, their lunch menu offers a variety of grilled fish set meals. The silver salmon with lemon zest grilled set meal is 1100 yen, and the salted Pacific saury grilled set meal is also 1100 yen. I always crave grilled fish from time to time. The salted Pacific saury had a crispy skin that was delicious! The silver salmon with lemon zest grilled set meal was refreshing with the lemon flavor. The side dishes were also gently seasoned, which was nice. The rice was also very tasty and went well with the meal. Even though it's a teppanyaki restaurant, if you're interested in grilled fish set meals, why not try it for lunch? ^_^

I made a reservation in advance at a highly rated restaurant due to the festival at Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine. I was looking forward to the 3-hour all-you-can-drink course for 4,400 yen, but the attitude of the two staff members was cold, and despite the all-you-can-drink offer, the drinks were served very slowly, leaving us without drinks for many minutes, which made the atmosphere awkward. The food was quite delicious, and in that sense, I thought it was great value for money. However, due to the slow service and the poor attitude of the staff, I don't want to use this restaurant again.

The master seemed a bit unfriendly but the okonomiyaki was incredibly delicious. I later realized that it wasn't unfriendly, just awkward. I could feel a lot of love put into the cooking, and I quite like this restaurant.

I used it for a meal with friends. We decided to have a meal in Yoyogi-Uehara at the last minute, so I made a reservation for 5:30 PM when it opened because it was nearby. However, even when the time came, the sign was not lit up, and it was unclear whether we could enter or not. Although we made eye contact with the staff several times, they seemed to be aware of us waiting outside. After a while, we asked, "Is it okay for us to come in?" and the response was like, "Is it okay?" The first impression was terrible. The attitude of the service did not change afterwards, but the okonomiyaki and monjayaki were very delicious, so I gave it a rating of 3.0. I probably won't go there again...

The grilled fish set meal and fried chicken set meal came with various side dishes. Overall, it was delicious and reasonably priced! On the way out, you can also get coffee to go (included in the meal price). While the service was good, the staff seemed a bit indifferent, which was a shame. But because the food was tasty, I will definitely go back!

The review is outdated (latest is 7 years ago) but I decided to try it out because they offer a 20% discount for premium members on Tabelog. The friendly female staff mentioned in the old reviews is no longer there, and the male staff was a bit unfriendly, just as mentioned. However, I don't think they were intentionally rude, it's just their personality. The food was average, the Caesar salad didn't taste fresh and seemed to rely heavily on the dressing. The oyster tofu dish took a while but was tasty, although nothing special that couldn't be made at home. The cost of drinks and rice seemed reasonable for this area. The glasses on the shelf could be placed in a less visible spot. The tables were a bit dirty, suitable for a lively drinking party. The couple next to us seemed a bit uncomfortable, and other customers were also in groups of four, making a lot of noise.
