On September 5, 2021, around 6:00 PM, I visited alone wearing work clothes. The parking lot was available with no smoking allowed. Only takeout was available, and credit card payment was accepted. They had COVID-19 measures in place with hand sanitizer at the entrance, and the staff wore masks. I visited everyone's favorite (I think) Chateraise, a cake and sweets shop known for its great value. But honestly, their wine is a good deal too! This time, I will review the sweets. I saw online that Chateraise was selling Shine Muscat sweets, so I decided to buy them for my wife (actually for myself) after work. I went to Chateraise in my work clothes to get the Shine Muscat cup dessert, but most of the Shine Muscat desserts were sold out. The only thing left was Shine Muscat grape daifuku x2 and the popular (probably) Choco Baki. The frozen showcase had a note saying, "Sorry for the shortage of ice cream," but luckily they were selling Choco Baki. I felt like a lucky man! I'm a lucky man!! When I got home, my wife and I enjoyed the grape daifuku after dinner. The combination of the mochi, cream, and grape in the daifuku was not blended together but had separate flavors that were delicious. The grape was juicy, I guess. Well, it's hard to explain. The cream had a light sweetness. It was delicious. A few days later, I finally had the Choco Baki for breakfast. I purposely ate it for breakfast to avoid eating too many sweets at night (currently on a slight diet). Huh? I didn't feel the same excitement as the first time I ate it. The chocolate's crispy texture was still there, but the flavor seemed different... What's that? Maybe I got used to the taste? As I was eating, my wife said, "You bought the chocolate one this time, right?" "Huh?" "The one you had before was vanilla-flavored." Oh... I see, the first Baki I had was vanilla-flavored!! I was impressed when I had the vanilla one. I see, that's how it is. Until my wife pointed it out, I didn't realize it. I'm not me. The chocolate Baki is chocolate on chocolate, so the flavors are similar and overlapping. It's delicious, but I (annoyingly) prefer the vanilla one. The vanilla Choco Baki was sold out. That's why they had a notice about ice cream shortages. I just found out that there's also a banana-flavored Baki in the series. I want to try it. That's Chateraise, a wonderland of sweets. Chateraise also has wine. I'd like to visit a high-end store too, Chateraise. Be careful with the different Bakis at Chateraise. Chateraise wasn't this popular 10 years ago. (I used to buy an ice candy on my way back and eat it while walking home) Thank you, Chateraise, for everything. To those who haven't tried the Choco Baki yet, give it a try. There's more value than the price suggests. Thank you for the meal.
