I generally exclude national chain restaurants from my reviews, but I decided to make an exception for this restaurant I visited for lunch. Although it is part of a corporate chain, it only has 71 stores in the Greater Tokyo Area and Osaka Prefecture, so I consider it a suitable review subject. The restaurant is operated by United & Collective Co., Ltd., founded by entrepreneur Hideya Sakai in 1974. After working at a major car manufacturer, Sakai pursued his dream of starting his own restaurant business and opened the first store in Tokyo in 2000. The company has since expanded to operate 80 stores, focusing on the "teketekete" and "the 3rd Burger" brands. Despite facing financial challenges, including a plan to close unprofitable stores, the restaurant I visited had a limited menu with a touch panel ordering system. I ordered the "Ultimate Ginger Pork and Addictive Fried Chicken Set" for 1,040 yen, which was served promptly but lacked in presentation and customer service.

I was hungry but didn't know what I wanted to eat, so I decided to try a new restaurant. I visited this izakaya along Shirayama Street for the first time. The spacious second floor interior was inviting. Although I was initially drawn to the Chicken Nanban on the sign outside, the smell of sizzling meat on the teppan inside the restaurant caught my attention. The coarse-ground hamburger steak also looked tempting, but this time I went with the cheapest option, the Chicken Nanban. The large piece of chicken was tasty with a thin coating, but the tartar sauce was a bit too sour. The rice and miso soup were delicious, so overall it was okay. Next time, I think I'll try the hamburger steak.

I had misunderstood "てけてけ" as "でですけ" and ended up having lunch there today (lol). I had been curious about the large serving of chicken for a while. The store is on the second floor, but it is actually quite spacious. I was able to sit down easily. It seems that each table is used by one group of customers. There is a tablet on the table for ordering. The cords are crawling around under the table, making it a bit unsettling. It's also dangerous as they can get tangled around your legs... I asked the staff and found out that the "DeKa Mori Chicken Nanban Set" comes with 8 pieces of chicken, double the amount of the regular portion. I decided to go for it at 1,240 yen (tax included). The first 3 pieces I had without tartar sauce. The chicken was lighter than I expected, so it was an easy challenge! The seasoned coating added some flavor, so it was good to go as it is. It was delicious. For the remaining pieces, I added plenty of tartar sauce. It had a slightly tangy flavor, which made it refreshing. The rice portion can be chosen from "small" to "extra large" in 5 levels, all for free. Are there actually people who go for "extra large"? The background music in the store is filled with upbeat 90s hits, which brings back nostalgic memories for us older folks who spent our youth during that time (lol). If the price was around 1,000 yen, it would have been perfect...

Chicken and egg fried rice ¥539, Secret sauce chicken nanban ¥539, Bonjiri (chicken tail) ¥132, Nori salted potato fries ¥462, Salted tsukune skewers x2 ¥550, Chanja (stir-fried noodles) ¥429, Simple potato salad ¥462, Unlimited skewers (spice, pepper) each ¥165, Grilled sweet potato and vanilla ice cream ¥495, Vanilla ice cream ¥209, 2 drinks, Total: ¥5731. The bonjiri and tsukune were delicious! The tsukune had a strong flavor, perfect for pairing with alcohol. I liked the chicken nanban too, the meat was tender and the fried chicken was tasty. As for the grilled sweet potato and vanilla ice cream, I ordered it thinking "grilled sweet potato ❤️" but then realized that the vanilla ice cream would melt instantly on the hot plate, so it was a bit confusing haha. Well, it's a chain izakaya so I shouldn't expect too much in terms of taste, but if I think of it as just a place for filling my stomach and the atmosphere, then it's all good...?

Located along Shirayama Street, this is the second branch of Teketeke in Jimbocho, on the second floor of Matsumoto Kiyoshi. The original Teketeke store in Nishikanda has closed, leaving only the Jimbocho 2nd store. After the fourth state of emergency was lifted and things started to calm down, I decided to visit a familiar izakaya to see how they were doing post-COVID. I arrived after 9 PM. The counter had about 10 seats, all empty at the time. The other table seats were quite lively. According to the restaurant information, there are a total of 79 seats. Orders are placed using a touch panel on the table. I ordered my usual draft beer (¥179 + tax), a Premium Malt's Ale. The appetizer (¥300 + tax) was unlimited cabbage with miso, which was very delicious. They had new menu items added! The Teketeke Infinite Skin Skewer, priced at ¥99 + tax per skewer. I tried the Infinite Skin Skewer Pepper (¥99 + tax) and the Infinite Skin Skewer Spice (¥99 + tax). They were both delicious with a unique flavor on crispy skin. I also ordered the usual Teketeke chicken wing skewer (¥99 + tax) and some extra cabbage (free). I had a refill of Super Carbonated Highball (¥150 + tax) as well. They recently launched a Teketeke official app, and I downloaded it to get a free beer or salt tsukune. I tried the salt tsukune (usually ¥199 + tax) and it was fantastic, grilled to perfection. The total bill came to ¥1,019. They have outlets for charging devices, and overall, it was a great experience.

I saw they had draft beer for 197 yen, so I thought I'd have a quick drink and head home. It's that time of year, after all. I ordered various things because it seemed cheap - skewered cutlets, edamame, fried chicken, yakitori, etc. The draft beer was cheap, but the foam took up about half of it...oh well, what can you do? The food was okay, but there were a few mistakes. I quickly finished up and left. It was only about an hour, but it cost around 2500 yen. I wish there was a Toriki nearby...that's what I'm thinking these days.

In this area, there are of course Chinese restaurants and hearty meals for students, which are part of the city's character. However, there aren't many typical franchise bars, so it's really convenient in that sense. It may be ordinary, but it's very helpful.

The flavor is strong. It's just your typical izakaya food.

I went to this restaurant after a baseball game because I heard their drinks were cheap. It's located on the second floor along Shirokane-dori, between Suidobashi and Jimbocho. I was the first customer when I arrived just after 5 PM. They offer Trivy beer for only 180 yen, which is a great deal. I also ordered a Beam's highball for the same price. The food was okay, with cabbage and vinegar as the complimentary dish. I added some potato salad and a mix of grilled chicken skewers to my order. The chicken skewers had various types of meat and were served with a salty sauce. I also ordered a large beer, which was still reasonably priced at 360 yen. In total, I spent 1842 yen, which seemed a bit high considering the small portion of the complimentary dish. Overall, the restaurant seems to attract customers with cheap drinks but make up for it with their food prices. I might just come back for drinks next time.

I used this restaurant for lunch. I arrived at 12:20 and placed my order, but the food didn't come out until 1:00. Looking around, everyone seemed frustrated by the slow service. The lunch menu consists mostly of fried foods, so they should improve their operations.

I made a reservation for a course meal and used it for a company drinking party. It was a day when I realized that the young people don't eat much or drink much. Starting with the salad, the salted kelp salad was simple but much tastier than salads with dressing. Even the young people ate all the salad. The famous salted tsukune was made by hand-kneading coarse ground minced meat, giving it a pleasant texture. Each person had one tsukune. It was much tastier to eat it without any sauce. The chicken ginger hot pot was prepared, with the pot being warmed and the ingredients prepared separately for each person to put into the pot themselves. The chicken pieces were large and all the ingredients were put into the pot and cooked. The soup was delicious, but the others were too engrossed in their conversation to pay attention to the hot pot. I served myself twice and ate it, and it was light and easy to eat with a strong ginger flavor. The secret sauce chicken nanban was limited to two pieces per person, but I couldn't tell if they were on a diet or just small eaters because no one touched them. The tender chicken breast was delicious though. I ended up having three pieces. The final zosui (rice porridge) was only eaten by a few people. It was made without eggs but with added delicious soup, so it had a light and refreshing taste. I went for seconds. The course meal here is well-prepared and satisfying with a good amount of food. However, if there is a lot left over, they should maybe offer a lower-tier course meal. The classic! Salted tsukune and chicken ginger hot pot course with 7 dishes ≪2.5 hours all-you-can-drink included≫ for 3,500 yen. The course features the bone-chewing texture of the "famous! Salted tsukune" made with freshly ground chicken meat, "secret sauce chicken nanban," and "chicken ginger hot pot," offering a variety of enjoyable dishes! Plus 500 yen for premium all-you-can-drink! ★【Appetizer】Nagaimo (Chinese yam) wasabi pickles ★【Salad】Salted kelp salad ★【Skewers】Famous! Salted tsukune ★【Hot Pot】Chicken ginger hot pot ★【Deep-fried】Secret sauce chicken nanban ★【Meal】Zosui (rice porridge) set ★【Dessert】Homemade almond jelly *The course price for food only is 2,500 yen per person (tax included).
