君島十和子
For the final lunch of my Kyoto trip, I looked up on Tabelog and visited ILPAPPALARDO. The staff here were quite elderly. I was surprised that the restaurant didn't feel old. Since the kids wanted pizza, we made a same-day reservation and took a taxi there. The taxi driver also knew about this place, seems like it's a famous spot in Kyoto. We ordered the usual favorites for the kids - prosciutto, Margherita pizza, pasta with Kujo green onions and whitebait, etc. First, cheers with Peroni! It was a stylish day, haha. The kids, who usually only eat Margherita pizza, seem to be Margherita enthusiasts, haha. This restaurant, which has been selected as a top restaurant multiple times, serves authentic Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven and it's undeniably delicious. The chef, Mr. Kitamura, trained at Seirinkan in Nakameguro. Come to think of it, I visited Seirinkan in 2008. If you have time, please check out my post! *Photos included, haha* But back to the topic, the pizza here was delicious, and the pasta was also quite tasty. The photos might have a strong angle, haha. What I remember most about this place is the "service." When my child with asthma started coughing after arriving in Kyoto, they asked, "Are you okay?" The service was full of kindness towards the children, it was a lovely restaurant! When I visit Kyoto again, I would like to come back for a leisurely dinner.
