Let's grab a quick bite at the usual Gyutan restaurant, Yoshitsugu, in Shinsaibashi before we get too drunk and fill our stomachs with delicious food! We'll sit at the counter on the first floor, toast with Takara shochu highball, and order Gyutan and oxtail soup. The Gyutan here is thick, tender, and full of flavor. The light accompaniments and miso paste with green chili pepper are also delicious. The transparent oxtail soup with tender meat and green onions is bursting with beef essence and incredibly tasty. It's the perfect way to end the night after drinking! By filling our stomachs with delicious meat, I feel invincible tonight and ready to go to more places. Let's enjoy bar hopping within an hour at each place, ensuring they are not crowded and maintaining proper disinfection. Thank you for the delicious meal!

After finishing work, I decided to have dinner at "Gyutan Charcoal Grill Yoshitsugu" located near Nagahoribashi before heading home. I didn't know this area was called "Unagidani," maybe because eels used to be caught here. I arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 pm, and although the first floor was almost full, there was one seat available, so I could enter without waiting. There is also a second floor, so it might be easy to get in without a reservation, especially for solo diners. I ordered the Gyutan set meal and tongue sashimi. First, the tongue sashimi was served. It was probably my first time trying it, and while it had the distinctive texture of beef tongue, it was softer compared to grilled beef tongue. There was no raw smell, and it was delicious even with just soy sauce. I also tried dipping it in a mixture of soy sauce and ginger, with garlic in between, and it enhanced the flavor even more. I personally preferred eating it with condiments. About 10 minutes after ordering, the Gyutan set meal was served. The seasoned beef tongue was delicious on its own, but dipping it in spicy miso sauce made it more appetizing. The surface was crispy, and the meat was tender and thick. It was different from high-end grilled beef tongue, but as a Gyutan set meal, it was of high quality. The oxtail soup had tenderly simmered oxtail chunks, which were tasty, and the broth was flavorful. The pickles and barley rice were also delicious, making it a satisfying set meal. Despite the busy restaurant, the staff members were very friendly. There were various dishes using beef tongue on the menu, so I would like to try other items in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I have never been to Sendai, but you can also enjoy delicious beef tongue in Osaka. I ordered a set meal and tongue sashimi. The tongue sashimi was thick and satisfying to eat. Recently, due to the impact of the Wuhan coronavirus, I have been getting takeout meals only. But today, I finally dined in at a restaurant after a long time. I started off with shochu on the rocks and some beans (I forgot the name, it was a limited-time dish). Next, I had "tongue sashimi" which was made from beautiful and tender tongue, although it seemed difficult for my companion who is undergoing orthodontic treatment to chew. It would have been perfect if they had made a few hidden cuts with a knife. Then, I tried the "boiled tongue" which was also delicious. It was so tender that it melted in my mouth. As a palate cleanser, I had miso cream cheese, which was consistently tasty. Finally, I ended with a set meal with grated yam and a tail soup. The charcoal-grilled beef tongue was delicious as expected, and the tail soup was also tasty. I asked for whole eggs in the grated yam instead of just the yolk, as I prefer it that way for a smoother texture when eating with rice. It was my first time dining in at the restaurant in a while, and it was still bustling with customers. I will definitely come back again.

I had always been curious about Yoshitsugu-san. I visited without a reservation on a weekday night. I was seated at the counter on the first floor, and was surprised to see it almost full! It was lucky! The beef tongue was very tender and I could eat as many slices as I wanted~ The Yamagata dish I had after a long time was very delicious! I will definitely go again (๑•́‧̫•̀๑)

I always come here when I want to eat delicious beef tongue, nanban miso pickles, and barley rice, also known as Sendai beef tongue. Today, I ordered the 5-piece set meal with extra tail soup. I also ordered sausages and beef tongue simmered dish as side dishes for drinks. It was very satisfying. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back. The total cost for two people, with two drinks each, ranges from 8000 to 9800 yen.

When I looked at the menu after a while, I noticed that there were quite a few new menu items. Beef tongue borscht, beef tongue omelette, etc. This time, I played it safe and had the regular menu as usual, but maybe next time I'll try the borscht. And the new menu item of beef tongue sausage hot dog that can be taken out is wonderful. It's a shame that I discovered it after I was already full... Next time for sure... However, I was able to enjoy dining in the restaurant for the first time in a while (^^)

I wanted to eat beef tongue, so it was great that the restaurant was open until 2am. It's perfect for after work or after drinking. I felt so happy drinking oxtail soup after a long time. There are many dishes to choose from, so it's perfect for satisfying various needs. The beef tongue was delicious and the barley rice was cooked perfectly, making it a great combination. I definitely want to go back again.

Today, I visited Yoshitsugu in Unagidani. The first floor has only a counter, while the second floor has tatami seating. We reserved a tatami room for three people. We started with the beef tongue, which was tender and juicy. It was delicious. All the other menu items were also great. We also ordered the seasonal specialty, seri nabe. It had the authentic taste with seri roots included. It was so delicious that we could eat it endlessly. The zunda mochi dessert we ordered was also fantastic.

The original plan was to go to the sushi restaurant across the street, but it was too crowded so I gave up. I remembered about this restaurant as I had planned to visit the same chain in Kitashinchi before. The restaurant has a casual izakaya style, with a small L-shaped counter on the first floor that seats about 5-6 people. There was a TV showing a Hanshin Tigers game, giving it a typical Osaka izakaya atmosphere. There seems to be a second floor as well, maybe with tatami seating, but it's not clear. I ordered the beef tongue grilled set meal and the oyster cheese grill that caught my eye on the menu. I opted for the smaller size since I ordered both dishes. The set meal included oxtail soup, 4-5 pieces of beef tongue, Yamagata miso, Nanban miso, and barley rice, all for 1800 yen. The oyster cheese grill was just under 1000 yen, so the total bill without alcohol came to just under 3000 yen. I found it a bit expensive compared to the tongue grill restaurants near Tokyo Station. However, when I actually tasted the food, the oxtail soup had a generous amount of beef tongue meat. The tongue was tender and flavorful, making it quite delicious. This justified the higher price. If you plan to enjoy the beef tongue meat itself, you might want to skip the oxtail soup. The oyster cheese grill was rich with cheese and grilled oysters. It was also delicious, but with only 4 small oysters, I found it a bit pricey. Looking at the menu, the bento boxes were not as expensive, and the course meals started from 3000 yen with a variety of dishes, so I thought maybe I made a slightly expensive choice. However, the quality of the tongue dishes was quite high, and I left satisfied.

Located about a 2-3 minute walk west from Exit 5A of Osaka Metro Nagahoribashi Station, this restaurant has 6 counter seats and 2 two-person table seats on the first floor, with additional seating on the second floor. I ordered the Beef Tongue Set Meal with a little extra beef tongue. The set meal included 5 slices of beef tongue, barley rice, oxtail soup, pickled vegetables from Yamagata, and spicy miso pickles. The set meal arrived after a short wait. The beef tongue was pre-cut and seasoned, allowing me to enjoy the meat flavor, texture, and aroma. I then tried it with the pickled vegetables and spicy miso for added texture, saltiness, and spiciness. You could also sprinkle some shichimi spice for an extra kick. Mixing the barley rice with the beef tongue was also a tasty combination. The oxtail soup, with oxtail meat and white scallions, complemented the beef tongue and barley rice well with its flavorful broth and crunchy scallions. Next time, I would like to try pairing the beef tongue dishes with some sake. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I suddenly thought I haven't had barley rice in a while...and then I remembered this place right away in the evening. This restaurant specializes in Sendai's famous beef tongue, which is different from the seasoned beef tongue at yakiniku restaurants and is served in thick slices. The popular beef tongue set meal here includes barley rice and oxtail soup, faithfully recreating the traditional dish. I always order 1.5 servings of beef tongue (6 slices), which is cooked at a low temperature before being charcoal-grilled. The texture of the thick-cut tongue is irresistible. The barley rice with grated yam is a perfect match, and the extra-large serving of pickled vegetables is also delicious. The oxtail soup with bone-in cuts is also fantastic. The price may be a bit high, but it's definitely worth it for such a wonderful set meal. It's great that you can easily stop by when you want to eat beef tongue. Sometimes I crave Yoshitsugu's beef tongue dishes. This time, I started with celery ohitashi, then had beef tongue yukhoe, boiled tongue, grilled tongue, and beef tongue sausage. The celery was carefully prepared, even the roots, and had a good texture and aroma. The beef tongue yukhoe was a first for me, and using beef tongue as sashimi for yukhoe gave it a great chewy texture. The boiled tongue was very tender and well-cooked, definitely recommended. The grilled tongue was delicious as expected, and the sausage was also hearty and tasty.

I visited a beef tongue restaurant in Shinsaibashi for the first time using GoToEat. I love beef tongue, so all the menu items are beef tongue-based and delicious. I tried the beef tongue grill, beef tongue yukhoe, and beef tongue hamburger. They were all delicious, so even after GoToEat ends, I will come back again! The restaurant was a bit small and the second floor was also full. With the points coming back, it feels like a great deal.

I had been to this restaurant in Honmachi before and it was really delicious, so I made a reservation using the Go To Eat and Osaka Support Campaign which gave me 6,000 points. I arrived a bit early for my 6:00 reservation and found that the restaurant was about to open. There were already some people gathering around the restaurant, probably because of the Go To Eat campaign. When it turned 6:00, the restaurant opened and I was seated at the counter on the first floor. However, the seat I was in was directly hit by the heating, making it too hot. I couldn't bear it, so I immediately told the staff, who kindly adjusted it for me. I thought to myself that it must be tough for those who can't speak up about such things. We ordered a la carte dishes. I am currently undergoing teeth straightening treatment, so I found it difficult to chew some of the dishes. Unfortunately, I couldn't ask for a fork and knife due to the busyness of the restaurant, so I ended up giving more to my partner. Lesson learned for next time - ask for smaller cuts from the beginning! It was my partner's first time at the restaurant and they were impressed. The only downside was the small size of the restaurant, but the food was delicious. It's a tough decision on which aspect to prioritize.
