In this area, "IKR51" was always the runner-up in terms of restaurants I hadn't visited yet. This place is a hidden gem that only locals or true ramen enthusiasts would notice (lol). By the way, IKR stands for IkaRamen. It's tucked away in the back of a building, making it hard to find. The name doesn't include "ramen" because their main dish is actually ikura-don. There's no ramen sign at the building entrance, so you really have to know about it beforehand to find it. You can't just stumble upon it and decide to eat ramen here—it's a physically hidden spot (lol). Interestingly, the famous Hakata chain next door caught my attention instead. - Arrival time: 1:10 PM - Crowdedness: Full house - Wait time: 5 minutes outside Despite being hard to find, it's clearly a popular spot if it's always packed. I ordered the special Oyster Dried Black Soy Sauce Ramen. It arrived in 7 minutes and was as black as can be! The aroma of oysters, the punch of black pepper, and the smokiness were memorable. The soup, based on chicken broth with dried oysters, had a deep umami flavor with a hint of bitterness unique to dried oysters. The strong soy sauce complemented the sweetness, creating a rich and satisfying broth (despite being a clear black soup!). The enoki mushrooms topping matched well with the oysters and added to the overall flavor profile. The medium-thick straight noodles, while not standing out too much, were smooth and delicious. The generous toppings included pork chashu, chicken chashu, chicken sashimi, smoked duck, wonton, flavored egg, among others. Each was tasty in its own right. Although none particularly stood out, they all contributed to a satisfying meal. This bowl reminded me once again that oysters can indeed go well with ramen. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was a pleasant dining experience in a cozy setting. Thank you for the meal.

Oyster dried black soy sauce ramen for 940 yen. I've known about this place for a while, but finally made my first visit. The soup was quite dark, and when I took a sip, I could taste the delicious flavor of oysters. I really like this one. The noodles were thin and straight, with just the right firmness that paired well with the soup. The ramen came with two slices of tender pork chashu, moist chicken ham, eringi mushrooms, and oyster paste. When the paste melted, the oyster flavor really stood out, it was so good. I finished the soup in one go. I'm curious about the chicken soy sauce ramen too, but I might end up ordering this one again next time. It's not a fancy ramen, but I really like this soup. Thank you for the meal.

I went to "IKR51," a ramen shop in Shinsaibashi where you can also enjoy seafood bowls. I had a solo lunch there as I had work in Minami Senba area. It was a bit intimidating to enter the restaurant located on the first floor of a mixed-use building (lol). They have a rare seafood bowl on the menu, but I thought I wouldn't be able to eat much, so I opted for the classic soy sauce ramen instead. The soup had a rich flavor of chicken and soy sauce, which was delicious. The thin straight noodles paired perfectly with the soup and had a great texture. The chashu was tender and the overall balance of the ramen was excellent. I was surprised to find out that what I thought was menma was actually enoki mushrooms - a unique touch to the ramen! I definitely want to try their tsukemen next time. Check it out if you get a chance! - Rich Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen ¥940 - Seasoned Egg (Topping) ¥130

A ramen shop on the first floor of a mixed-use building in Shinsaibashi that serves seafood bowls. I felt like having seafood-based ramen, so I revisited after a long time. I arrived around 8 pm on a weekday, with only 4 other customers present. I ordered the Oyster Soy Sauce Ramen for 940 yen, with extra noodles for 100 yen, and a mini Uni, Ikura, and Egg Yolk Bowl for 1550 yen. The rich soy sauce broth with a hint of oyster flavor was delightful. The noodles were firm and thick, perfectly complementing the broth. The pork shoulder was tender and topped with fish powder paste, adding a unique flavor. The chicken breast chashu was also tender and paired well with the rich soy sauce. Although I had never ordered a seafood bowl before, I decided to try the mini Uni, Ikura, and Egg Yolk Bowl for presentation. Breaking the egg yolk and mixing it with the Uni and Ikura was a heavenly experience. However, the portion was small and the freshness was questionable, so I didn't find it to be great value for money.

On this day, I had work in Shinsaibashi and decided to have lunch at "IKR51". I arrived at the restaurant around 13:20, and there were only a few customers, so the place was not crowded. It's located deep inside a building, so I guess not many people accidentally stumble upon it. I ordered the special rich chicken soy sauce ramen. It only took about 3 minutes from ordering to serving, so it was very fast. The special comes with a variety of toppings like seasoned egg, pork chashu, chicken tataki, chicken chashu, smoked duck, and wonton. The soup has a nice aroma of chicken oil even before you taste it, and when you do, you can really taste the umami of the chicken and the smooth richness of the soy sauce, with a slightly sweet flavor. I really love the taste of this soup. Among the various toppings, the smoked duck, chicken tataki, and wonton were especially delicious. The smoked duck leaves a fragrant taste in your mouth, with a spicy kick of black pepper, creating a perfect combination. The chicken tataki has a strong umami flavor, and the wonton is also very tasty. In comparison, the pork chashu seemed a bit lacking in flavor, so I wished it had a stronger taste. Overall, I was very satisfied with the delicious ramen. The neatly arranged thin straight noodles had a great texture and paired well with the soup. The staff were also friendly, making it a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. We arrived around 11:50, and the place was full shortly after we entered. I ordered the special rich chicken soy sauce ramen, which is a classic menu item. The soup was light and paired perfectly with the noodles! The noodles were delicious too! The person I was with ordered the tsukemen, which also looked quite tasty! I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

It's close to Shinsaibashi. It's located at the back of a building. There's a Ippudo where Chinese people are lining up in front, almost making me mistake it for the restaurant. The menu is extensive. All the ramen options are equally popular, making it difficult to choose and pleasantly overwhelming. I chose the clam broth ramen. It was very pure and had a strong clam flavor, delicious. However, this restaurant is more famous for its side menu, especially the expensive but sushi-level ikura don. The side menu has a wide variety of options, with endless choices.

"I visited 'IKR51' in Minamisenba after a long time and tried the 'Fragrant Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen (940 yen)'. The soup is made from various types of chicken such as Hichinaka chicken and Nagoya Cochin, with a low viscosity soy sauce base that is mellow and has a savory soy sauce aroma. The refined umami of chicken broth with a slight acidity creates a well-balanced and rich flavor. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles, providing a good texture and firmness. The chashu pork, made from shoulder loin and chicken breast, has a tender texture and delicious seasoning, allowing you to savor the unique flavors of each type of meat. They also offer rice bowl dishes like salmon roe bowl and sea urchin bowl."

It's IKR51. It's past 7:30 in the evening, and Shinsaibashi-suji is crowded due to the Obon holiday. There are many foreign tourists as well. In this area of Shinsaibashi-suji shopping street, on the Minamisenba side, there are many ramen shops lined up. This time, I tried the summer limited edition Sudachi cold noodles. Since it was hot, I couldn't help but order it. The soup is a cold, slightly sweet cold noodle-style broth with a refreshing sudachi flavor. There is also dashi ice in it, making it cold. The noodles are flat, medium-thick noodles that are firm and well-cooked, and they go well with the cold, slightly sweet soup. Adding sudachi vinegar enhances the acidity, making it even more delicious. The spiciness of the kimchi goes well with the acidity. Squeezing the sudachi releases a citrusy aroma, making it even more delicious. The flavored egg is well-seasoned, the chicken chashu is tender, and the rare chashu has a good chewy texture, making it delicious. The smoked duck, similar to bacon, has a significant chewiness and a delicious smoky flavor. It was a cold, delicious bowl with a refreshing acidity and sweetness.

Visited at 12:30 on a weekday, no waiting time. Menu: Special rich chicken white soy sauce dipping noodles for 1,600 yen + large serving for 300 yen. Since there was a line at Kusaka Curry, I went to the less crowded IKR51. As soon as I entered the restaurant, it was surprisingly hot, almost as if the heater was on. I endured it as I had already placed my order and couldn't leave. There was only one air conditioning unit, and the counter seats were directly in front of where the ramen was being prepared, making it extremely hot. The dipping noodles were delicious, but I don't feel like eating ramen and sweating profusely in the summer. Personally, I think this is a shop best visited in the winter. Thank you for the meal.

Clam soy sauce ramen for 940 yen. It comes with chashu, chicken chashu, and buttered eringi mushrooms. The noodles are thin and straight, and the soup is full of the delicious flavor of clam broth. The chashu is thin but has a strong meaty texture and seasoning, making it delicious. The chicken chashu is moist and tender, also very tasty. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you.

I visited the restaurant on Sunday before 12 pm and was able to enter without waiting in line. They have a wide variety of menu items, including not only ramen but also chicken nanban, karaage, chashu don, and seafood don, so I think I can enjoy it every time I come. I ordered the Fragrant Chicken Shoyu Ramen (940 yen) with a seasoned boiled egg topping (140 yen) and a mini chicken tataki bowl (460 yen). The soup is light soy sauce flavor, but with a deep and irresistible taste of chicken. The medium-thick noodles also match well with the broth. I felt that it was a well-balanced ramen with the soup clinging to the noodles. The soup was so delicious that I could drink it all the way to the end without getting tired of it. It has become a ramen shop that I would like to visit again. I would like to try other types of ramen and seafood bowls as well.

Fragrant chicken soy sauce ramen 940 yen Medium bottle of beer 680 yen tax included The soy sauce soup has a mellow flavor with a strong chicken umami taste. It is very gentle and delicious. The medium-thin straight noodles are incredibly tasty. They are slightly firm with a good chewy texture and great flavor. They go perfectly with the soup! The toppings are also of high quality! The chicken and pork chashu match well with the light soup! The pork chashu is one of the best I've had in terms of rare chashu. The menma... and then the sautéed eringi mushrooms. They are also delicious with a fragrant taste. If ordered separately, I usually have them as a beer snack. I am satisfied with the soup, noodles, and toppings, all of them are great!

They also have options like salmon rice bowl and eel rice bowl, so I would like to try a rice bowl next time. Thank you for the meal.

Ikura and uni? I had heard of it before, but I was somehow drawn to visit a ramen shop that serves ikura donburi and uni ikura donburi. The interior has a casual café-like atmosphere! The location might be a bit hard to find, but the ramen here was incredibly delicious. The quality of the ramen was honestly astounding! The chashu came in two types, and the broth was perfectly cooked. The soup had a great balance and richness. I was left speechless. Osaka Metro Midosuji Line Shinsaibashi Station, 2 minutes walk away. This place is getting more popular every year! Despite being a ramen shop, their seafood bowl is delicious! This time, I had TKM for 640 yen, smoked duck for 180 yen, chicken chashu for 180 yen, and sea urchin and salmon roe bowl with egg yolk for 2950 yen. The trendy TKM is simple yet delicious! The soy sauce dressing is really good! I recommend topping it with duck! The seafood bowl is a bit pricey, but the sea urchin is so tasty. They also have a mini size, so you can enjoy a luxurious seafood bowl as a set with ramen! Thank you for the meal!

In the midst of a long holiday, Shinsaibashi is bustling with energy. I visited this hidden gem, just a short walk from Shinsaibashi Station for the first time. I didn't have high expectations due to the high rent in the area, but the photos on Instagram looked so delicious that I decided to check it out. I ordered the chicken soy sauce ramen and chicken tataki bowl for a total of 1400 yen. When the dishes arrived, I was struck by the beautiful presentation, from the noodles to the toppings. I took a sip of the soup and was amazed by the delicious sweet and savory soy sauce flavor. The medium-thin straight noodles had a great taste and texture, the two types of chashu were delicious, and using enoki mushrooms instead of menma added a unique touch. The chicken tataki bowl, though small, was well-seasoned and tasty. Overall, I think it's better to come here than wait in line at Ramen Suke. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying delicious soba, I still had room in my stomach, so I walked from Yatsuhashi 6 to Shinsaibashi. The destination was this ramen shop. I had been turned away once before due to a temporary closure. I was able to enter smoothly this time without any wait. I sat at the counter seat. I had already decided what to eat. I ordered the Clam Soy Sauce Ramen (940 yen). I have been enjoying exploring clam-based ramen lately. The base of the soup is made from clams sourced from Tottori and Aomori prefectures. The first bite had a slightly strong taste, maybe a bit bitter? But that was only the first bite. After that, it became more familiar to my taste buds. However, there was a feeling of oil sticking around my mouth. You can enjoy two types of chashu - chicken and pork. There was also sautéed eringi mushrooms as an ingredient. The noodles were straight and had a good firmness to them, which I liked. As it started to get a bit crowded, I finished my meal quickly. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a ramen restaurant called "IKR51" in Minamisenba, Chuo-ku, Osaka. It is located on the 1st floor of the Nichiho Silver Building, but it is a bit hard to find since it is not facing the road. The name "IKR" seems to come from IKURA (salmon roe). In addition to ramen, they also serve dishes like IKURA rice bowl. The ramen comes in three varieties: chicken, clam, and oyster. I ordered the "Rich Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen" for 900 yen. The toppings included rare chashu, chicken chashu, and chopped green onions, which seemed to be frozen. The soup was delicious, and the noodles had a nice texture. The restaurant is marked by a red background with a white circle lantern, which is inspired by the design of the "tsunagi dango" in Gion Kabu, one of the five entertainment districts in Kyoto.

This is a ramen-focused restaurant located near the Shinsaibashi-suji shopping street in Osaka. It is a recommended area with many great lunch options. Today, I visited IKR51. The name means "striving to achieve more than half," reflecting the humble attitude of the shop. I ordered the oyster ramen with white rice and katsu-toji. The oyster ramen here offers a depth of flavor that is hard to find elsewhere. The katsu-toji and white rice were nothing special, tasting similar to what you might find at an udon shop. Thank you for the delicious meal!

"Yes, yes, it's ramen time! IKR51 offers a 'Special Aromatic Free-Range Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen for 1,280 yen' and 'Morning Chicken Karaage for 150 yen.' This day, after finishing work, I visited IKR51 in Shinsaibashi. I had visited with fellow ramen enthusiasts before, but they were closed for renovations, so I finally got my revenge visit this time. Upon entering, I looked at the menu... What! They have a 'Tsukemen Set with a Mini Chicken Tataki Donburi for 1,100 yen' option! And it comes with mini chicken tataki! I mean, the temptation is real! I was really tempted, but after much deliberation, I ended up ordering the 'Special Aromatic Free-Range Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen.' I couldn't resist ordering the 'Morning Chicken Karaage' as well. I usually don't pay much attention to side dishes, but this place is a temptation paradise (laughs). First, the karaage arrived. While enjoying the hot karaage, I waited eagerly, and they even brought it to the table from the counter when it was ready. The presentation was on point! The soy sauce aroma was so inviting! The soup was the first thing I tried... Oh my goodness! The rich flavor of multiple free-range chickens combined with the soy sauce was amazing! I couldn't stop slurping (laughs). The balance of chicken and water-like broth is so well done that you might think it's just chicken and water, but the description mentions a blend of Rausu kelp and scallop dashi as well. The subtle balance enhances the deliciousness even more! The noodles were flavorful medium-thick straight noodles that paired well with the soup. The toppings were quite luxurious! In addition to the basic pork and chicken chashu, the special toppings included 'flavored egg, chicken tataki, smoked duck, and wonton,' making it a great deal! The chicken tataki was especially outstanding! It was incredibly delicious! I couldn't stop smiling while eating it until the last bite. I made sure not to leave a drop behind. It was a feast! The chicken tataki was so good that I plan to revisit to try the Tsukemen with a Mini Chicken Tataki Donburi set next time. I highly recommend this place! They have table seating and a variety of menu options, but since it's a one-person operation, make sure to go with some extra time on hand. <Store Information> [Store Name] IKR51 [Address] 1F Nippo Silver Building, 3-11-27 Minamisenba, Chuo-ku, Osaka [Business Hours] 11:30-14:30 LO (Weekends 15:00 LO), 18:00-22:00 LO [Regular Holiday] Irregular (details on Twitter) [Access] About a 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro *Business days, business hours, and business format are subject to change."
