The all-you-can-drink is only 1777 yen, but honestly, the drink options are limited! The dumplings are juicy and delicious (*´~`*)ŧ‹"ŧ‹"ŧ‹" Personally, the dumplings with crispy skin and honey ice cream on top were really tasty!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while but never mentioned it. There are quite a few of them around, but I may have never actually been inside one before. My expectations were high. I ordered the gyoza. The women working at the restaurant were very friendly and did a great job! The hot gyoza was delicious. However, it wasn't as juicy as I had expected, but still tasty. Ordering one plate seems like it would be enough to fill you up. The gyoza was surprisingly large. It had a slightly chewy texture rather than being crispy. It felt like a gyoza izakaya. I can't drink, so I had juice. It might be more enjoyable for those who can drink. Thank you for the meal. It's a restaurant worth trying at least once.

Even at night, they have set meals available, and they are open continuously on weekends which is convenient. On weekend evenings, I had an early dinner with a non-alcoholic drink. For those who love devilishly delicious coriander salad (I do), the sesame dressing is slightly rich and spicy, which may help to reduce the bitterness. There are quite a few stems in the salad. The meat juice gyoza set meal comes with gyoza that is fine to eat without any additional sauce. As the name suggests, the meat juice oozes out deliciously. It got a bit heavy halfway through, so I added vinegar for a change in flavor. I ate the gyoza alone, and mixed the rice with a hot spring egg for a TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan) dish.

Today's lunch was at Gyoza Dandadan in Hibarigaoka. It's an izakaya that also focuses on lunch service. This was my second visit. I ordered the Char Siu and Gyoza set meal with extra rice. The gyoza had a strong meaty flavor, so it didn't need any sauce. The Char Siu was a bit dry, with some parts being fatty, which might not be to everyone's taste.

Hibarigaoka Kitaguchi, a 4.5-minute walk away, I came to eat meat juice dumplings at Dandan because I missed eating hot dumplings and beer. The menu is also extensive. First, I toasted with meat juice dumplings and beer. They were hot and juicy. I also had boiled dumplings and chicken wing dumplings, which were hot and crispy. They also serve a coriander salad, which is a large portion and goes well with the dumplings. I love the potato butter salted cod topping. It goes well with sake. I also had quail egg and bean sprout namul as snacks. The drink menu is also extensive, and I enjoyed plenty of sake and green tea highballs as chasers. Thank you for the meal.

There was a dumpling specialty restaurant called Niku Jyu Gyoza Dandan that had opened in Hibarigaoka. I saw some people drinking beer during lunchtime, which made me envious, but I had to resist as I was still working. I ordered the dumplings and roasted pork set meal, which included 3 dumplings. The meat was seasoned with a strong flavor, but had little juice. The roasted pork was dry and disappointing.

I used it for lunch. Gyoza set meal for 700 yen, with regular rice. It had been a while since I last ate it, but it was delicious. The gyoza had a strong seasoning that made it juicy and filled with meat juices, even without dipping it in sauce. The soup was like the tail soup served at a beef tongue restaurant, with a light saltiness that was good. When you feel like eating gyoza, it's a good choice.

Gyoza restaurant located at the north exit of Hibarigaoka Station. I went there for lunch on a holiday. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal. It came with mapo tofu, rice, onsen egg, soup, and pickles. The mapo tofu had a unique taste, not too spicy but with a hint of heat. It tasted better after adding some chili oil. It was perfect when poured over rice with the onsen egg. I also tried the gyoza and boiled gyoza, both had a chewy skin. The filling was juicy, but the gyoza was slightly lukewarm. In that sense, the boiled gyoza was just right.

This is a restaurant that specializes in dumplings, but they also have other rice dishes available. I went for a late meal around 3pm on a Sunday and the place was fairly busy with a few other groups. It has a casual izakaya vibe, but it's definitely suitable for a meal during the day. The dumplings were really good, with a chewy skin that releases juicy meat when you bite into it, similar to xiaolongbao. Be careful with the broth when eating. We each had a plate of dumplings and the steamed chicken salad, which was a bit too much for two people. The service was excellent. It seems like a good spot for a light meal in the evening as well. Plus, it's affordable and easy to drop by. I will definitely go back.

"Dandadan is a gyoza specialty izakaya chain. However, when looking at the takeout menu, there was a dish called 'Char siu bento' which has nothing to do with gyoza. It was priced at 650 yen, but the thick slices of char siu inside were not too tough and had a satisfying texture. The seasoning was not too strong, making it a perfect match with rice."
