-Cheddar Ramen + Flavored Boiled Egg for 1000 yen (880 yen + 120 yen)
- Located about a 2-minute walk from Nagai Station on the JR Hanwa Line.
- Soup: A pork bone and chicken broth-based soy sauce soup.
- You can choose between thin noodles and thick noodles, I chose thin noodles. They were medium-thin, straight noodles.
- Ingredients included 2 slices of thinly sliced chashu, bean sprouts, corn, powdered cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, and a flavored egg as a topping.
- The restaurant has 8 counter seats, 2 tables for 4 people, and 1 table for 2 people.
- I visited this place for the first time because the restaurant I originally planned to visit was closed. The menu had so many options that it was hard to decide what to order. After much deliberation, I chose the Cheddar Ramen with a flavored egg topping, which had the word "popular" next to it on the menu. The bowl it was served in had a unique shape and the dish was surprisingly light. When I melted the cheddar cheese into the soup, the flavor transformed completely, blending Japanese and Western flavors. The saltiness and richness increased, creating a bold and flavorful dish. Although I felt like the portion of soup was a bit small for the price, the excellent service made up for it. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you!

Dinner ■ Zaru Tsukemen ¥880 (tax included)
After finishing up some business at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, it was already close to 22:00. Feeling a bit hungry, but with few options as there were not many restaurants around. I stumbled upon this place while wandering around Nagai shopping street. The black storefront with the bold letters "Ramen 3738" caught my eye. By the way, the name is read as "Minamiya" even though it's written as 3738. The inside of the restaurant was bustling with customers who seemed to have also finished their business. The ramen menu was extensive, offering a variety of options. I decided to try the "Zaru Tsukemen." It arrived in 5-6 minutes. The presentation was interesting, with the noodles in a zaru (bamboo strainer) and the dipping sauce, chashu, and boiled egg each in their own container placed next to the zaru. Additionally, toppings like wakame and kimchi were included, which was unusual for tsukemen. The soy sauce-based dipping sauce was refreshing with a tangy acidity, perfect for a hot summer day, and the smooth noodles slid down the throat easily. With a variety of toppings, it was enjoyable to change up the flavors of the tsukemen.

White miso garlic ramen for ¥850 with seasoned egg topping for ¥120. Visited around 8 pm on a weekend. The restaurant was full, but we were able to get a seat in about 10 minutes. The menu was quite extensive and we had a hard time deciding. The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. The bowl was super cute. The soup turned out to be quite strong, so I couldn't finish it, but the flavor was delicious. You can choose between thin or thick noodles! Miso ramen lovers should definitely give this place a try!

This is a revisit. I was planning to go for a classic dish, but on the way there, I suddenly felt like having tsukemen... So I ended up ordering the meat tsukemen when I entered the restaurant. When it arrived, it was piping hot and incredibly delicious, with the confirmed taste of domestic beef. I mistakenly asked for the 1.5 portion because it was the same cost as 1, and it turned out to be quite a large serving. Then, the owner suggested, "If you can still eat, I can add a little rice and cheese on top with the dipping sauce." It sounded so intriguing! But I was already full this time, so I couldn't try it. Apparently, this can be done with a menu item cooked in an iron pot. I definitely want to try it next time. But I also want to try the classic shoyu tsukemen. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I went there after 1 pm. It was still lunchtime, so I ordered the lunch set with thin noodles, cheddar cheese topping, a bottle of beer, and grilled dumplings. The dumplings and kimchi were delicious, and I enjoyed them with the beer while waiting for the ramen and rice to arrive. It was all very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the Chashu rice bowl set for lunch, with the option to choose between thin noodles and thick noodles. I changed the soup base to a spicy fish broth and opted for thick noodles. The miso and fish broth soup was rich and flavorful without being heavy, and had a simple yet delicious taste. I could sense the presence of dried fish powder in the soup. As for the Chashu rice bowl, it was okay, but I would definitely like to come back to try their ramen.

I had been curious about this place for a long time. Finally, I was able to go. I thought it might be crowded and have a long wait, but I was able to get in smoothly. The menu had quite a variety of options, making it hard to choose. In the end, I chose the unusual "white miso ramen". It was delicious even before I took a bite. Definitely next time, I will try the simple Chinese noodles. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by on my way home and ordered the 240g meat dipping noodles. The 160g and 240g options were the same price, while the 320g was a bit more expensive. The meat was beef, and the flavor was richer than regular ramen, which was refreshing. The noodles were a bit thin for dipping noodles. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I should have probably gone with the classic Chinese noodles instead of trying something different.

Visit time: 19:20 Holiday waiting time: None Menu: Zaru Tsukemen Set 940 yen This was my first visit, and I was impressed by the wide variety of menu options. I decided to try the Zaru Tsukemen as the summer menu is likely ending soon. The noodles were served with a dipping sauce similar to Zaru Soba, and the texture was also reminiscent of Zaru Soba. I enjoyed changing the flavor by adding kimchi to the dipping sauce, and the side dishes of boiled egg and chashu were a nice addition to the meal. I also took a bite of the regular Ramen, which was also delicious. Personally, I think the classic Ramen was tastier. Thank you for the meal.

It was located in a shopping street near JR Nagai Station. Looking at the menu, there were a variety of unique ramen dishes. I was intrigued by the Cheddar Cheese Ramen, so I ordered the White Miso Cheddar Ramen with thick noodles. The aroma of the cheese stimulates the appetite. The rich soup paired perfectly with the white miso, and it was delicious as it coated the chewy thick noodles. I finished it all up. One bowl of ramen wasn't enough for me, so I added a Chashu Rice. I was completely satisfied and full! Thank you for the meal (*^^*)

From Sakai to Osaka city, I went on a lunch hunt around Nagai area while cycling~☆
After a year, I decided to revisit this place!!
May 15th visit: "Ramen 3738 (Minamiya)"
Lunch menu☆ I settled in at the counter seat and enjoyed the atmosphere♪
Thick special noodles (thick noodles) with special chashu rice bowl set for 990 yen
The noodles are certainly unique and chewy thick noodles with a rich bonito soy sauce base like Wakayama ramen~
First, the chashu rice bowl as it is, then add the soup to eat it like a soup rice dish♪
Deliciously finished it all~ The portion was a bit smaller than I expected, but... (laughs)
Thank you for the meal☆ (Taken with S95)

This was my first time trying their normal soy sauce ramen. The soup was not too heavy, with a mild and mellow flavor. The chashu was tender and delicious. The portion size was on the smaller side, so next time I might try the chashu rice bowl lunch set. They have a variety of soup flavors to choose from, and I heard their cold ramen is popular, so I would like to try that next time. I walked for almost an hour back home, so maybe I burned off some calories.

I visited this restaurant after a long time and the ramen was incredibly delicious. The rich white miso with cheddar cheese and crunchy corn matched perfectly. It would have been even better with a seasoned egg topping. This ramen is a must-try for everyone, with its rich and creamy white miso base. The addition of cheese tones down the saltiness of the miso, making it great for those who are not a fan of strong miso flavors. Thank you for the delicious meal!

At ramen shop 3738 in Nagai Shopping Street, the name is a bit unusual. When you enter the shop, you are greeted with a cheerful voice. Looking at the menu at the counter, there are surprisingly many choices. The highlight seems to be the cheddar cheese, but I decided to try the basic soy sauce ramen. You can choose between thin noodles and thick noodles, and I chose thin noodles. I added some allure by choosing the chashu pork topping. After ordering, the ramen arrived suddenly, in just 3 minutes. The small Chinese bowl was filled with chashu pork, looking very delicious. First, I tried the soup, which was a light pork bone soy sauce broth with a hint of sweetness from the soy sauce. It was a rich soy sauce ramen with plenty of oil. The straight noodles were my favorite type. The chashu pork was flavorful and tender, and when eaten together with the noodles, they complemented each other perfectly. Overall, it was a delicious soy sauce ramen, and I am curious to try other ramen options at this shop. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Nagai, Minamiya is a ramen shop in a shopping street on the west side, just a 3-minute walk from Nagai Station on the JR Hanwa Line. I arrived at 11:38 am on a weekday and found only one customer at the counter. They offer various menu items, including Cheddar Ramen. I decided to go for the Zaru Tsukemen Set (920 yen), which arrived in 7 minutes. The dish consisted of thin noodles with toppings such as chopped seaweed, wakame, kimchi, char siu, and a boiled egg. The dipping sauce had a Japanese-style tangy flavor, making it more like a cold noodle dish than traditional ramen. Overall, it was delicious and filling, especially with the two freshly made rice balls. After finishing my meal, I left feeling satisfied.

From the blog post: "Having salt-based ramen in Abeno~ Still hungry for a second lunch!? After a long time of thinking about visiting, I finally stepped into this ramen shop located at the corner of a bustling shopping street in Nagai. I decided to try their limited edition Tsukemen noodles with a generous portion of 240g, topped with seasoned egg and chashu. The noodles were thick and chewy, perfectly complemented by the tangy dipping sauce. The chashu was also delicious, and the variety of toppings added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I finished every last drop of the dipping sauce, it was that good! Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the treat!"

Today's lunch was at Nagai, Ramen 3738 Minamiya. I had the special Iso Ramen with plenty of seafood. The noodles were thick and delicious, and the soup was simple yet flavorful with the taste of the ingredients. The soy sauce flavor was not overpowering. The gyoza was also small and bite-sized, with juicy meat inside. It's a great restaurant. #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch #HappyMealPlus #HappyMeal It's rare for Toyotsune-san not to visit the restaurant.

I had the last ramen of 2020 for lunch at a ramen shop in Nagai Shopping Street. I had been curious about this shop as I sometimes passed by it. The lunch menu was extensive, with various combinations available. I ordered the special ramen set, which came with rice and kimchi. The noodles in the special ramen were thick, while the regular ramen seemed to have thin noodles. The shop seems to follow the flow of Wakayama ramen, as the special ramen noodles were made with Wakayama-produced noodles. The soup was a soy sauce tonkotsu that reminded me of Wakayama ramen. It was rich and delicious. The thick noodles were chewy and went well with the soup. The chashu was tender and full of collagen. It was a really good shop.

I arrived at Nagai after taking the Bororan bus from Umeda, and visited "3738" in the Nagai shopping street, which I hadn't been able to visit before. Inside the store, there is a TV set up at the back. I ordered the "Onigiri Set (770 yen including tax)" from the many menu options. The toppings for the chashu-men include chashu, bean sprouts, and green onions. The thin straight noodles are easy to eat, with a soy sauce flavor based on pork and chicken broth. The soup has a moderate amount of oil and a slight pork bone flavor, with the soup being a bit less compared to the amount of noodles. It is on the verge of being just average in terms of refreshing taste. The Onigiri Set comes with two onigiris and pickles in addition to the chashu-men. The onigiris are just ordinary. There are various lunch set menus with good cost performance, and there are condiments such as pepper, soy sauce, and chili oil on the table. There are 7 counter seats and 3 table seats, with many local regular customers. I noticed that many customers were chatting with the friendly staff.

Around 1:00 in the afternoon, I came here in search of ramen. During this self-restraint period, I am the only customer here. I sat at the counter and ordered the special lunch set. It comes with thick noodles ramen and rice. The standout feature is definitely the noodles. They have a strong presence and you can really feel them as you eat. The soy sauce-based soup is good, but the noodles steal the show. The toppings are a bit simple, but if you're all about the noodles, it might be just right. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and I think I might come back again. However, there are still some other unvisited restaurants nearby, so I'll put this one on hold for now.
