Shinsaibashi patrol♪ I wanted to eat delicious yakitori, so I explored the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog❗️ I went to Mokkei in Higashi-Shinsaibashi. The owner, who comes from a famous restaurant, is particular about aging and preparation. They age Awa Jidori and Tanba Jidori for 4 days in ice and prepare them at the restaurant. I had my friend make an early reservation for a private room. They offer both courses and a la carte options, which is great. This time, I had the most popular selection of 7 yakitori course, and I also added chicken sashimi and grilled skewers that I really wanted to try. - Cold chicken breast with wasabi - Assorted 6 sashimi (grilled thigh, marinated breast, heart, gizzard, liver, gizzard skin) - this was a special order and I really wanted to try it. It was delicious and went well with alcohol. - Liver simmered - another special order, no strange taste, very moist. - Yakitori 1 - breast meat, moist without being dry. - Vinegar motsu - Yakitori 2 - chicken wing skin was crispy outside and juicy inside. - Chicken yukke - the egg was sweet and the texture of the thigh meat was amazing. - Yakitori 3 - negima, good portion size, very satisfying. - Warm freshly made tofu - Yakitori 4 - tenderloin fat was sweet and the texture was amazing. - Vegetable 1 - grilled edamame with butter soy sauce - Organic vegetable and chicken ham salad - the chicken ham was so moist and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. - Chicken consomme - Grilled parent chicken thigh - another special order. I really wanted to try this and it was amazing, with a charcoal aroma and great texture. - Yakitori 5 - liver was surprisingly large and had no unpleasant taste. - Vegetable 2 - zucchini - Yakitori 6 - tsukune, firm and slightly hard but well seasoned. - Yakitori 7 - heart, crunchy texture. - I also added a skewer of skin. It was crispy and the fat melted, leaving a moist texture. - Golden TKG - pickles with white rice, egg yolk, and gold leaf. Very beautiful. - Chicken soup - a rich and flavorful soup to finish. The yakitori portions were large and allowed me to fully enjoy the flavor of each part. The course and a la carte options were extensive and satisfying. Truly a top 100 yakitori restaurant. It was incredibly delicious. The restaurant is located about 1-2 minutes west of Exit 7 of Nagahoribashi Station on the Osaka Metro. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be seated at the counter. I started with a Chuhai with freshly squeezed lime. I had the carefully selected Yakitori 7-course meal. The cold Sasami with wasabi and wood buds was refreshing. The Vinegared Motsu with green onions was a perfect appetizer. The chicken breast with yuzu pepper had a nice kick to it. The Negima (chicken thigh with leek) was flavorful and the Tebasaki (chicken wings) were easy to eat and delicious. The Chicken Yukke with kinkan was a unique and tasty dish. The homemade tofu and organic vegetable salad was a nice palate cleanser. The Seseri (chicken neck) was tender and flavorful. The grilled vegetables and edamame were a great accompaniment to sake. The Chicken Consomme was light and comforting. The Tsukune (chicken meatball) was juicy and flavorful. The chilled Chawanmushi with corn and okra was a nice refreshing dish. The Bonjiri (chicken tail) and Shinzo (chicken heart) were both delicious. The Golden Tamago Kake Gohan with kinkan and gold leaf was a perfect ending to the meal. The meal was completed with a rich Chicken Soup. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience and I look forward to returning in the future.

I visited a restaurant called "Charcoal Grilled Chicken Tori" that I had been curious about for a while. It is a restaurant selected as one of the top 100 yakitori shops, and I went with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. The restaurant was very clean and had both a counter and tatami seating, and this time we sat in the tatami room. My friend had made a reservation for a casual course, so we ordered that along with a few a la carte items. Our order included: - Assorted 7 types of selected grilled chicken course - Cold sasami with wasabi vinegar - Chicken motsu yukke - Chicken ham with seasonal fruits - Warm freshly made tofu - Chicken consomme (clear chicken broth) - Assorted 7 types of selected grilled chicken - 2 types of vegetables - Pickles - Golden TKG (egg over rice with gold flakes) - Chicken soup (white chicken broth) - Additional items: Assorted 6 types of sashimi, chicken liver stew, grilled parent chicken thigh, quail egg, skin, and gizzard The sashimi and chicken liver stew were served first, followed by the grilled parent chicken thigh. The order and service were excellent, and the hospitality was wonderful. The cold sasami with wasabi had a nice spicy kick, and the assorted sashimi was delicious with a perfect balance of texture and flavor. The grilled chicken was top-notch, with perfectly cooked and flavorful skewers. We couldn't resist ordering a few more skewers before the end of the meal. The vegetables, ginkgo nuts, and lotus root were also delicious and not just a filler between courses. The "Golden TKG" with kumquat and gold flakes was a luxurious and tasty way to finish the meal. The egg yolk coated the rice beautifully and was delicious. We ended the meal with the chicken white broth soup. We may have eaten and drank a bit too much, but everything was so delicious! The food and service were outstanding, and it was a truly satisfying dinner. It's no wonder this restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 yakitori shops. I would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful experience! ✿

I've always wanted to visit this yakitori restaurant, I've been seeing it on Instagram and it looks delicious. Plus, it comes highly recommended by yakitori lovers. The restaurant is called Sumibi Yakitori Tori. The nearest station is Nagahoribashi Station on the Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line, and it's within walking distance from Shinsaibashi Station. This area seems to be a battleground for yakitori restaurants! As you go downstairs, you'll find various seating options including a counter, a sunken kotatsu-style seating area, and private rooms. We started with a toast with Mitsugetsu Soda, a sake made from honey that is surprisingly refreshing and not too sweet. For food, we ordered the "Selected Yakitori 7 Variety Course" for 6,500 yen and a few items a la carte. The chicken here is aged in short-term ice, which adds to its tenderness and flavor. The food included items like cold sasami with wasabi, a variety of sashimi, liver simmered in soy sauce, grilled chicken breast with skin, yakitori with vinegar and motsu jelly, chicken wings, chicken yukke, negima yakitori, warm homemade tofu, seseri yakitori, grilled edamame with butter soy sauce, organic vegetable and chicken ham salad, and more. The portions were generous, the grilling was done to perfection, and each dish was flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy yakitori. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you're a fan of yakitori.

Visited in September 2023. As it's starting to cool down a bit, we felt like having some delicious yakitori, so we went to the famous restaurant called Kitori listed on Tabelog. We made a reservation and headed there. It's just a few minutes' walk from Shinsaibashi Station. The restaurant is located underground. The nearest station might be Nagahoribashi. It was also very close to Shinsaibashi. There's always a sense of excitement when going down the stairs to an underground restaurant, right? On this day, we opted for the 6500 yen course along with some a la carte dishes. They age the chicken and cut it up right there at the restaurant. I was really looking forward to it. Items marked with a bullet (•) are from the course menu, while items marked with a diamond (◆) were additional a la carte orders. The chicken sashimi with wasabi was delicious and the meat was very fresh and tender. The sashimi platter with six different types was also very fresh and tasty. The liver simmered in alcohol was creamy and flavorful. The grilled chicken breast, vinegar tripe, and grilled chicken wings were all very delicious. The chicken tartare wrapped in seaweed was a delightful treat. The grilled chicken neck was juicy and full of flavor. The grilled chicken thigh was a personal favorite, cooked to perfection over charcoal. The grilled chicken gizzards were also very tasty. The grilled chicken meatball was incredibly delicious. The grilled chicken heart had the perfect texture. The grilled chicken skin was crispy and flavorful. The golden egg over rice with pickles was a perfect ending to the meal. The chicken consomme was rich and flavorful. The restaurant was popular for a reason, with high-quality chicken and delicious flavors. The service was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. I would love to visit again when the seasons change. The menu for September was impressive, with various course options available at different price points. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant had a calm Japanese atmosphere and was clean. Although there wasn't any particularly memorable dish, everything was delicious. We made a reservation for the short course, but ended up ordering a few extra dishes, had some drinks, and also had dessert, all for a little over 10,000 yen per person.

First visit. I was able to order a la carte, so I ordered what I liked. The sashimi was delicious, and the liver was tasty. The spicy chicken was seriously hot, haha. The miso sauce for the yukke was rich and incredibly delicious! Of course, the chicken was fresh, but it was especially delicious when combined with this sauce. The grilled dishes were all delicious, but among them, the grilled leek, heart, and skirt steak with spicy miso were particularly delicious (^O^). The chicken breast with plum and shiso, and quail egg were perfectly cooked. The side dishes were also delicious. The miso-pickled lotus root, yam, and cream cheese were tasty. The chicken soup was even more delicious when you add salted rice malt. The egg over rice at the end was luxurious with gold flakes (^O^). The oyakodon had a gentle flavor with a rich broth and I finished it all. It was very delicious and affordable (*´艸`). I would like to visit this restaurant again! Thank you for the meal (^O^). It was delicious!

Located a 3-minute walk from Nagahori Bridge, this restaurant is situated in the basement of a building next to a high-rise tower. I arrived a little early for my reservation at Torinoko and was graciously welcomed by the owner, which was a relief in this heat. Despite being a yakitori restaurant, the interior was well-maintained and the glass in front of the grill was stunning. I opted for the Torinoko Special Yakitori Course (6,500 yen) which included: - Torinoko chicken breast with wasabi - Vinegared giblets - Chicken yukke (raw chicken) - Homemade tofu with organic vegetables - Chilled chawanmushi (savory egg custard) - Chicken consomme - Torinoko special yakitori (7 types) - 2 types of vegetables - Golden Tamago Kake Gohan (rice with egg) - Pickles - Chicken soup The course included various skewers in between each dish, allowing us to enjoy each one while it was still hot. The skewers included breast meat, wing tips, leeks, neck meat, heart, upper belly, and harami. Each skewer had its own unique touch and was delicious. The standout for me was the heart skewer, with its firm texture and rich flavor. Paired with sake, it was a perfect match. The Torinoko chicken breast with wasabi was also noteworthy, with its beautiful pink color and chewy texture. Overall, it was a truly delicious dining experience and I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I am in Osaka and visited the restaurant called Sumibi Yakitori Tori. I was looking for a yakitori restaurant with private rooms and found this place, which is also a famous shop. I started with a draft beer and a sashimi platter. The quality of the restaurant was evident just from the draft beer. The sashimi was excellent, and all the yakitori skewers were delicious. The ramen, oyakodon, and whiskey (only highballs) were also great. They had a good selection of Suntory whiskeys, although I found the Hakushu a bit weak. The food was all of the highest quality. The prices were a bit high, but it was definitely worth it. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Osaka Shinsaibashi Charcoal-grilled Chicken Torinoko-san is a restaurant specializing in yakitori with a rating of 3.53 on Tabelog by 100 reviewers. I wanted to explore a bit, so I made a reservation. I tried the carefully selected 7 skewers course for 6,500 yen. The yakitori was grilled to a slightly firm texture. The service was relaxed, and the staff served the dishes according to the progress at our table. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. Thank you for the delicious meal! Thank you very much!

All of the dishes were juicy, tender, and delicious. I'm happy to have found a delicious yakitori restaurant in Minami. The portion size was sufficient, and each dish was satisfying. The interior of the restaurant is not overly luxurious, making it easy to enter. I would definitely like to come back again.

I made a reservation and went! I was craving kinkan (kumquat) and found this place while looking for a restaurant. The luxurious TKG (tamago kake gohan) is served in a cute, small bowl, so you can have one serving per person as a finishing touch after trying various dishes! The tsukune cheese skewers were also delicious. The prices are a bit high, so I got the impression that it's a bit of a fancy yakitori restaurant!

Charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant "Kitori" in Shinsaibashi. Explored a new place. Located right near Soppon's family's yakiniku restaurant. Convenient location, was able to make a same-day reservation even on a Saturday. After trying a variety of yakitori dishes, we also had a sukiyaki hot pot, finishing with ramen and oyakodon. I get excited at yakitori restaurants with a wide menu selection. (^○^)

I consulted with the Eat Log teacher for my friend's birthday party and we decided on this restaurant: Sumibi Yakitori Tori-sen in Daiboji, Higashi-Shinsaibashi. It was a great choice! We added two extra dishes (lotus root and chicken tail) to the course menu and had about 7-8 drinks between the two of us, totaling around 19,000 yen. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I particularly loved the egg over rice and the soup at the end was also tasty. My friend, who loves yakitori, said that the heart and chicken tail were the best she's ever had. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the meal!

This yakitori restaurant offers great value for money. The atmosphere is nice, with a lovely ambiance and other customers who seem to be regulars. Despite this, the set course prices are reasonable, making it an easily accessible restaurant. I visited for the first time and each skewer of chicken was carefully grilled over charcoal, resulting in a tender texture. The chef grills the skewers at a pace that matches your eating speed, allowing you to enjoy each piece at the perfect moment. I will definitely visit again!

The wine list was also extensive, making it suitable for business entertainment. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I am from Wakayama, so the word "binchotan" always catches my attention. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was already full of customers on a weekday! Food enthusiasts seem to know about hidden underground restaurants like this. I'm glad I found out about it today. The food was really delicious, so here is a brief review. This time, I ordered the course with 6 types of yakitori: - Cold sesame with wasabi - Vinegar tripe - Chicken breast skewer - Chicken wing skewer - Yukke (raw meat dish) - Organic vegetables and chicken ham - Chicken consomme - Green onion skewer - Chicken tender skewer - Seasonal cold chawanmushi with rapeseed blossoms - Grilled vegetables with ginkgo nuts - Grilled vegetables with lotus root - Tsukune (chicken meatball) - Chicken liver skewer - Pickles - Golden TKG (tamago kake gohan with chicken) - Chicken soup The ingredients on the skewers were large and satisfying to eat. However, I couldn't stop myself from quickly moving on to the next skewer and the next. The surface of the chicken was crispy, but the moisture inside was retained, resulting in a juicy texture. The umami flavor of the chicken was so rich that I could almost drink it. Personally, if I had to pick an MVP, it would be the "chicken wings." In the past, when chicken wings were served at yakitori restaurants, I would wonder why they would serve a dish that makes your hands dirty, thinking negatively about it from a female perspective. But the chicken wings at this restaurant were exceptional. When you crack them open, high-quality fat oozes out along with a steamy aroma. The flavor lingers in your mouth for a long time. The Golden TKG was also delicious. I felt like one visit was not enough to satisfy me. I want to go back again. Since it is by reservation only, please be mindful of that. Today's course was 5800 yen. The quality at this price is beyond amazing. Please try it out. See you again!

Accompanied by a customer, I visited this charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant called "Mokkei" for the first time. I was feeling lost as I didn't have much experience with yakitori places, but I've been actively trying new places recently, so it was a perfect timing for a business dinner! We ordered a sashimi platter and a variety of charcoal-grilled items such as chicken thighs, quail, chicken skin, bonjiri, seseri, hearts, wings, tsukune, testicles, and gizzards. Everything was delicious! The menu offers a wide range from rare cuts to standard items. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and even though we sat at the counter, it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. It's a great place for a date or business entertainment! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Long time no see, I went to Tori-maru again. Last time I had the yakitori course, so this time I chose the hot pot course. The soup was so delicious that I couldn't stop drinking it. Everything I eat here is always delicious. The restaurant was full as usual. The hot pot ingredients were a bit lacking, so I added chicken thighs and tsukune. The hot pot comes with ramen as the finishing touch, but since I love to eat, I also ordered zosui! I enjoyed both the noodles and the rice! I was so full and satisfied with the delicious meal. I'll come back for yakitori next time.

Located near Daimaru Shinsaibashi, with good access in the underground of Higashi Shinsaibashi. They offer a wide variety of skewers and chicken dishes. While they don't have as many drink options as other izakayas, they serve slightly higher quality drinks that pair well with the food. They offer Nara Prefecture's Harushika sake. The egg over rice portion is small, perfect for when you're already full. The chicken soup is delicious.
