There are various reasons why Origin Tohshu, which is now under the Ion umbrella, is cleaner and brighter than the Chinese restaurant Tohshu. It is a brand that is more welcoming to women and children, making it a place where I would visit for the first time. Interestingly, the stylish Chinese restaurant Tohshu is considered a fashionable restaurant, so I would like to add Chinese cuisine to the genre to make it more stylish. I decided to visit this place with my daughter, who wanted to watch her game, and another person. The restaurant is conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Daido Drink Ice Arena, where my daughter's games are held. We arrived at the restaurant around 7:00 pm on a holiday, and the place was about 40% full. We were able to choose our seats freely, so we sat at a table in the center of the restaurant. The background music playing was a mix of US hits by artists like Van Halen, Madonna, and Stevie Wonder, which put us in a lively mood. I ordered a Hoppy White set for 390 yen, and my daughter ordered an orange juice for 100 yen. The Hoppy had a refined amount of alcohol, and you could also opt for a stronger flavor for an additional 90 yen. My daughter ordered a full ramen, full fried rice, and 6 fried dumplings for 980 yen, while I ordered the Big Tohshu set (1666 kcal) for 740 yen, which came with a Chinese bowl for 630 yen and 4 pieces of fried chicken for 480 yen. We planned to share the dumplings and fried chicken. The food was served within a few minutes of ordering, impressing even my impatient daughter. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, and the large, juicy fried chicken was delicious. However, my daughter misheard the server saying "4 pieces of fried chicken" as "baby fried chicken," which made her hesitant to eat them at first. The other dishes were decent, with the ramen soup tasting like a mix of soy sauce and mirin in hot water, the fried rice being too oily for my liking, and the Chinese bowl having minimal ingredients and a small portion. Despite this, the restaurant's highlights were the cute servers, clean restroom, quick service, good background music, and proximity to the ice rink. There are countless other good points about this place, so I would like to visit again someday. Thank you for the meal. * There are no steps at the entrance, and there is a passage for wheelchair access. * The counter seats have slightly narrow spacing, so left-handed individuals should be cautious. * Children are welcome here. * This branch cannot be found by searching for Renge Shokudo, Toshu, or Tohshu. * Proper way to hold a Renge as a bonus: https://www.kirin.co.jp/alcohol/beer/daigaku/CUL/mnr/no24/
