I've always wanted to visit Masane-san's yakitori restaurant, Yakitori Sakaba Masane, in Kiso-cho, Machida City! The owner's Instagram account, which also serves as a foodie account, has been very helpful to me! I've been wanting to meet Masane-san in person because his personality really comes through in his posts. Additionally, Abby, a fellow reviewer, recommended this place! I started with the delicious Ume Shiso Sour for 550 yen, which was very refreshing and tasty. The appetizer, pickled Chinese cabbage for 330 yen, was also light and tasty. I wanted to try a variety of yakitori, so I ordered the assorted skewers of 10 for 1650 yen! Each skewer was plump, large, and delicious, with a lot of flavor and a satisfying bite. Masane-san expertly grilled each skewer, adjusting the cooking method for each one. He served them in small batches, which I appreciated. The heart skewer was huge, the liver had no unpleasant taste, and the chicken wings were incredibly juicy! I couldn't resist trying the chicken soup for 330 yen, which was piping hot and deeply flavorful. Even though I thought I couldn't finish all the yakitori, I ended up asking for an additional appetizer of three kinds of pickles for 1 item. The spicy macaroni salad and spicy miso bean sprouts namul were both delicious and spicy, perfect for pairing with drinks. I added a Pineapple Sour, which had a strong pineapple flavor, unlike the usual light sours served at many other places. Finally, I got some chicken senbei for takeout! I knew it wouldn't be as good as freshly fried, so I tried some on the spot, and it was surprisingly delicious! It was different from the usual chicken skin senbei, as it was made by mincing chicken meat and frying it thin and crispy. It was perfect with beer! In total, the bill came to just under 4000 yen. Masane-san was incredibly polite and friendly, and I had a great time at his restaurant!
