Saichi, a yakitori restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station! It was my first time visiting, and I was amazed by the high cost performance and delicious food - definitely a top-notch restaurant! They use Yamato Niku chicken, Satsuma Kyokutei chicken, Daikokuzakura brand chicken, and local chicken, allowing you to fully enjoy a variety of flavors in their course menu. All the ingredients, not just the yakitori, are juicy and full of umami! The grilling is done by a female chef who skillfully determines the perfect cooking level for each dish. The restaurant has only 7 counter seats, allowing you to watch the meticulously grilled yakitori and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Reservations are only available for two time slots: 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. The restaurant is located in a back alley in Funabashi, hidden from the main street, adding to its charm. The interior of the restaurant only has a counter. It was a bit surprising that the grill master was a woman. She grilled the skewers with care, and the yakitori was elegant and refined. This is a recommended spot for couples. The hot pot dish filled me up with just one serving. This is not the typical old-school yakitori place that men usually go to.

I visited a restaurant called "Funaba Ura Roji" which I have a feeling will become a place that is hard to get a reservation in the future. The restaurant is located near Shinsaibashi Station in Osaka. Inside, there are L-shaped counter seats and table seats in the back. We ordered a course menu which included dishes like Satsuma Kyokuchicken, Yamato Niku chicken, zucchini, and various other chicken dishes. We also had Sweet Corn Hot Pot Rice as the final dish. The main dish, Satsuma Kyokuchicken, was a bit strong in flavor for me, but the skilled female chef showed great potential. I look forward to seeing how this restaurant develops in the future.

Four middle-aged men who love delicious food visited a restaurant called "Saihi" after making a reservation a month in advance. The restaurant, located in a neon sign alley called "Funaba Ura Roji," had a cozy atmosphere with a sturdy counter and a female chef handling the grilling. The course menu included dishes such as Satsuma Kyokuchicken thigh and breast, Yamato Niku chicken parts, zucchini, steamed egg custard with chicken and bonito broth, chicken pickles, and more. One of the men even managed to eat four servings of the sweet corn rice in a pot. The grilling was top-notch, and the chef, who seemed to be named Hana, showed dedication to her craft. A restaurant worth visiting again!

When written as "Saihi," it means the kanji character for "flower." The name was chosen because the main chef is a woman. It is a hidden gem yakitori restaurant located at the end of a narrow cobblestone path, with a counter seating for 7 and a private room for 6. The atmosphere and the delicious food are both top-notch! I visit about every 2-3 months, and have been there around 10 times. The skills of the chef, the service, and the course offerings continue to evolve, which is why I keep coming back.

【Situation】Date/Entertainment After finally securing a reservation at this hard-to-book place, I made my long-awaited first visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant, down to the smallest details of the furnishings, created a special space with a female chef who seemed to be the owner at its center. My expectations soared. The chef took the time to explain the ingredients that would be grilled that day, as well as the meticulous care put into grilling each skewer. Every yakitori was incredibly tender and juicy, making me feel like I could eat them forever! The meal ended with a fantastic two hours, capped off by a clay pot rice dish followed by a topping of raw egg and kumquat. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food. Wanted to order more but the course menu was filling enough! Even though I was full, I couldn't resist the last skewer of tsukune - it was amazing. The skewer with snow-like sesame oil on the liver, white eggplant, and zucchini with ricotta cheese was a unique touch. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was also delicious with pickles that matched my taste perfectly.

3rd visit! I go once every two months ♡, it's incredibly delicious ✩ and stylish!! The hospitality is great too ♫ Every dish is too delicious—high quality!! But the cost performance is also good~ The cooking is just right ♡ and they cook it right in front of you! It's nice to watch~ And they often ask about the saltiness to suit your taste, which is really the best ♥ What stood out to me was the grilled zuri and chicken breast ♡ I highly recommend these two!! The drinks are also very delicious and the cost performance is really good, so I can't recommend this place enough~

I made a reservation for Saturday night and had to register my credit card at the time of booking. However, payment on the day of the visit can be made without a card. In addition to skewers, there were tataki, chawanmushi, and rice cooked with ingredients. The most delicious was probably the negima skewer? It was pure happiness to take a big bite of the large grilled chicken skewer! By the way, I was able to add tamago to the cooked rice, so I did.

Dinner time at the completely reservation-only restaurant "Saihi" in Minami Senba. This hidden gem of a yakitori restaurant is located in a back alley of Senba. The meal is course-only, starting at 6:00 pm for the first seating, with a complete changeover for the second seating starting at 8:30 pm. This time, we gathered for a Mother's Day celebration with 6 people in a private room away from the main area, toasting to the occasion. Today's course included: - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura (Daimaou) thigh tataki - double-grilled with charcoal and straw - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura skin-on bonito - Yamato Nikudori sand gizzard - Chopstick rest - demon grated - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura breast meat - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura bonjiri - Taro - a new texture with finely cut knife cuts - Steamed bowl - double soup of local chicken and bonito - French black chicken Frenoir breast meat - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura leek meat - Yamato Nikudori liver rare grilled with powdered sesame oil - Sashima Kyokuchin Daigasakura breast meat and chrysanthemum leaf ohitashi with peanut sauce - Shiitake mushroom - Frenoir embrace - breast meat rolled in chicken skin - Rare grilled tsukune - Hot pot rice with local chicken, new burdock, ginger, iburi gakko, and chicken soup The hot pot rice is delicious on its own, but adding the additional "tamahimo" for a rich egg topping is ❤️❤️. As someone who enjoys spice and sansho pepper, I find that the yakitori here is best enjoyed as is, without any additional seasonings. The fresh chicken tataki, breast meat, and breast meat skewers are cooked thoroughly for the older mothers in our group. With attentive service, we had a comfortable and enjoyable time. Delicious, affordable! Great atmosphere! The grilled chicken skewers cooked by women are perfect in terms of cooking and saltiness. The clay pot rice for finishing with added raw egg is a must. The second helping of soup with tea leaves is also excellent. This is a place where you can enjoy your meal with alcohol in moderation. I want to go again! Thank you for the meal!

I've been obsessed with ♡ recently and I go there every month. They serve unique skewers that you can't find at other places, so it's really fun!! And the cost performance is good, so I keep going back ✩ The chicken breast here is so delicious ♥, it has a completely new texture that I love - I always order extra!! Also, I really like the additional-only chicken tail skewers ★, they are so delicious!! I visited "Yakitori Saihi" on this day. The restaurant is located in Minamisenba, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, about a 5-minute walk from the nearest Shinsaibashi Station. When searching for the location on Google, it may be difficult to find the entrance because it is located at the back of the street. I recommend checking the entrance photo in advance. The interior of the restaurant has a compact layout with a counter where you can see the glass-covered grill from any position. There are also private rooms at the back. We had the omakase course for 6000 yen, which included a variety of dishes such as smoked Satsuma Kyokudori chicken, Yamato Niku Tori, and double soup with chicken and bonito. The highlight was the Satsuma Kyokudori chicken, a rare breed known for its large size and marbling similar to beef or pork. The hospitality and skills of the two female owners, including the head chef, were exceptional. The dishes were all superbly prepared, and the unique chicken varieties like the Satsuma Kyokudori and Yamato Niku Tori added to the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful and surprising dining experience at a wonderful restaurant.

I visited a shop that was a little hidden in the back✩ of the NAVI, and it was a bit hard to find the location. The interior of the shop was very stylish and beautiful♡ It was a perfect place for a date, girls' night out, or anniversary♥ The course meal was the only option available, but additional skewers could be ordered after the course was finished! The dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious♥ It was a place where you could enjoy both visually and taste-wise! Especially, the grilled eel and chicken were amazing with a surprising texture! The clay pot rice was also very delicious and you could have plenty of refills, which was great♥ From start to finish, every dish was delicious and enjoyable, making it a place I would like to visit again in the future♡

This is a one step up yakitori that you can enjoy on a course. There are both counter seats and private rooms, but I recommend the private rooms. While the counter seats offer the advantage of being able to see the grilling area, the private rooms provide a more relaxed atmosphere that matches the taste of this restaurant. As for the yakitori itself, you will encounter yakitori that you have never tasted before. It is delicious, but it also includes items like sand liver that make you go "What is this?". The portions are generous. It is a course yakitori, so it is common to have a two-part meal. We experienced a slightly rushed feeling during the first half. If you want a more relaxed experience, the second half might be better.

It was my first visit and I was looking forward to it. The focus on grilling and learning about different types of birds was impressive. Although I felt like there were slightly fewer skewers of yakitori, there were plenty of additional options to choose from, so I added some. I liked being able to add my favorite items, it was a good feature! The yuzu-flavored rice dish served at the end was incredibly delicious. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Yakitori Saihi Osaka Minamisenba (5 minutes walk from Yotsubashi Station) This time I entered from 18:00 for the first part. Saihi-san offers only an omakase course (5000 yen) and every dish was so delicious, with ingredients that were truly fresh and surprising. The tsukune was fluffy and the satoimo had a unique texture with its cut. The chawanmushi was made with a refined dashi that made me want to have seconds. My favorite was the juicy and tender chicken breast with wasabi on top, the perfect combination! It was so delicious that I had seconds. After finishing the course, you can add additional dishes from the menu. There were also limited quantity items available, making the additional menu very enticing. I had plenty of seconds! I also ordered tamahimo! Lastly, eating it on top of the seasonal donabe rice was so rich and the best tamagokake gohan ever! I would love to go back when the seasonal donabe rice changes. Thank you for the feast! Saihi-san is by reservation only. Reservations can be made through their Instagram reservation site or by phone. There are only 7 counter seats and private rooms available. It was great to be able to see the grilling process from the counter seats. Osaka, Chuo-ku, Minamisenba 4-10-2, 06-6258-8166. 1st part 18:00-20:00 / 2nd part 20:30-22:30.
