I wanted a quick lunch with plenty of protein, so I decided to go in. The menu had limited options, with only 10 servings of grilled chicken with egg bowl available, along with chicken and egg rice bowl and chicken set meals. Surprisingly, there were no dishes with grilled chicken even though it was a grilled chicken restaurant. The grilled chicken bowl was limited to 10 servings, but when it arrived, it tasted like it was made from reheated canned grilled chicken with a sweet and lacking in grilled flavor. The side dishes also seemed pre-made. When I saw into the kitchen at the time of payment, they were grilling a lot of grilled chicken. Why were they offering only 10 servings of grilled chicken bowl when they were grilling plenty of it? Could it be that they were pre-cooking the grilled chicken for dinner service? It was a disappointing experience after a long time.

After enjoying delicious shumai at Sakihokken, I decided to have a few more drinks and wandered around Tokyo Station. I found a place with a nice atmosphere and some seats at the counter, so I casually walked in. Looking at the menu, the prices for skewers were on the higher side, around 300 yen per skewer. This is Tokyo Station, where elite businessmen gather, so it's no surprise. The customers seemed to be mostly high-income earners (or so I thought). I didn't want to end up crying later by ordering too much, so I carefully selected a few items: "Japanese-style chicken nanban (880 yen)", "Spicy seasoned chicken tenderloin (825 yen)", and "Chicken and wasabi (770 yen)", along with two drinks each. The crispy fried chicken nanban was quite delicious, but the pieces were small. The tenderloin and chicken and wasabi were also tasty, but the presentation was very elegant and the portions were small. It felt a bit mismatched for me. The service was average. Many other reviewers have made similar comments, and I agree that the portion size and value for money are a bit questionable. In the end, I spent around 3,000 yen per person for a 45-minute stay.

Before returning home to Tokyo Station, I decided to have a drink with a friend around Yaesu area. However, it was surprisingly difficult to find a place where we could drink in the afternoon. As we were wandering around, we stumbled upon this restaurant called "當店" and decided to go in. We sat at a table and looked at the menu. They had a perfect set for a casual afternoon drink, so we ordered that. The Vietnamese waitress was very friendly, even though she mentioned that she was still studying Japanese. Our order arrived with a side dish of boiled vegetables and 3 pieces of grilled chicken skewers. We also ordered draft beer. The grilled chicken skewers looked a bit cheap, but tasted decent. The boiled vegetables were a bit cold and had an unnatural strong flavor. The beer, being a Super Dry, was reliably good. Overall, the food was okay but could be improved in quality. We quickly finished our drinks and decided to move to another restaurant.

The expiration date of the 20,000 yen worth of electronic tickets for "Go To Eat Tokyo" was approaching, and I couldn't find many places to use it except for chain restaurants around the station. So, for lunch, I decided to try the "Daytime Drinking Set" for 1,430 yen at the yakitori restaurant "Hitori" in the basement of Tokyo Station. The set included a small dish, 3 skewers of yakitori, and a choice of one drink from options like draft beer, highball, lemon sour, grapefruit sour, or oolong highball. I chose the draft beer. Before the draft beer, we were served a simmered dish of chicken breast, daikon radish, and carrot, which had an unnatural richness and sweetness that was too strong for my taste, so I balanced it out with some sansho pepper. The yakitori skewers included chicken breast, thigh, and a meatball-like skewer. Although they had a nice char on the outside, the temperature felt off, as if they were pre-cooked and reheated in a microwave or oven. Choosing yakitori at a station may have been a mistake, but at least I was able to use up my ticket, so I consider it a success.

I recently moved to a new city and started using Tokyo Station more frequently. I got really excited to have yakitori after a long time and ended up eating and drinking too much, haha. The ramen and chicken nanban were delicious! It was great to be able to eat until the last minute, and the atmosphere around the station was nice.

It is a visit after lunchtime at a yakitori restaurant in the area with the least customers, making it easy to use. This was my second visit. Even after lunchtime, the restaurant was empty. It may be a good option for those who dislike waiting in line at the popular restaurants nearby. The restaurant was empty, so I wanted to relax, but the staff were somehow unfriendly. I ordered 5 skewers of yakitori and the "ultimate liver". Once again, I was asked if I was okay with waiting for the food, but it was served relatively quickly. The 5 skewers were decent, but the limited variety made it similar to my previous visit. The "ultimate liver" costing 770 yen had a significant difference between the menu photo and the actual dish, and it was smaller than expected. It was supposed to have a melt-in-your-mouth texture, but it seemed more like cold, pre-made dish with a soft, subtly flavored liver. For over 2000 yen spent on lunch that day, I felt quite unsatisfied. The value for money is questionable. I thought maybe opting for a lunch set like oyakodon with more quantity would have been a better choice. Perhaps this visit was a mistake. Thank you for the meal.

When I arrived in Tokyo for a business trip, I was hungry and searched for various restaurants. However, all the places I checked had long lines, except for this one. I decided to go in since it was not crowded. The interior had counter seats and table seats, and since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. I ordered the charcoal-grilled chicken set meal for 1375 yen. The food was served relatively quickly considering it was cooked over charcoal. The plate came with hijiki seaweed, dried daikon radish (probably pre-made), soup, and four types of grilled chicken (probably tsukune, thigh, breast, liver). The grilled chicken was delicious with the sauce coating it nicely. The soup lacked a bit of richness but was light in flavor. I don't usually have lunch in Tokyo, but I found the price to be a bit high.

I found a wandering shop at Tokyo Station. It was a chicken shop, so the yakitori and torisashi were very delicious. However, I'm not sure if the staff were inexperienced or if they were just focusing on regular customers, but when I ordered sake, the person next to me received a different sake without any explanation. That was a bit disappointing.

I visited this restaurant in the first half of Golden Week. I originally planned to visit a specific restaurant at the newly renovated Gransta Yaesu North, but the long line made me change my mind. I ended up choosing this restaurant because it looked inviting and had a variety of food options that were easy to choose from. I ordered a set lunch with yakitori and mentaiko potato salad. The potato salad was served first, followed by the yakitori. I ordered five skewers: chicken liver, thigh, negima (chicken and leek), seseri (chicken neck), and chicken tenderloin. The standout for me was the chicken liver skewer, it was exceptionally delicious. I love liver, and it seems like this restaurant pays special attention to their liver dishes. I would like to visit again when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

This is my first visit to this restaurant located in Tokyo Station Ichibangai. It is conveniently located right by the station. The interior has counter and table seating, and I chose to sit at the counter. Each seat was separated by acrylic panels. I visited around 12 pm on a weekday, and the restaurant was about 30% full. Today, I ordered the Chicken Motsu Nabe Set for 1100 yen. It wasn't on the menu, but when I asked the staff for recommendations, they told me about it. As a big fan of motsu, I was delighted to hear this. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The set included rice, chicken soup, pickled vegetables, chili oil for dipping, vinegar motsu, and motsu nabe. The chicken soup was creamy and had a strong dashi flavor, with a hint of sesame and green onions. The vinegar motsu mainly consisted of heart meat with some vegetables, refreshing and not heavy. Now, the motsu nabe was delicious! The thick, creamy broth of chicken white soup was filled with kinkan, silk tofu, carrots, green onions, skin, and heart meat, providing a warm and comforting taste. The seasoning was heartwarming. I used the chili oil to add some garlic flavor to the motsu nabe. A few days later, I tried the Charcoal-Grilled Onsen Tamago Don for 1100 yen, but the meat was scarce, and the grilling wasn't as good as expected. This review is based on the motsu nabe, and I will definitely come back for it. Thank you for the meal.

After my first visit to a mahjong parlor, I treated my tired brain to a beer! I ordered a mixed plate of yakitori, but it wasn't actually on the menu. Maybe they just put together a good selection for me. I got two beers with an appetizer of edamame, and the yakitori arrived in about 10 minutes. It was 6 pieces of salt-grilled yakitori. I paired it with Tomino Hozan on the rocks.

(2021.07.11) The weekend took a turn from continuous rainy weather to clear skies, resulting in a bustling atmosphere around Tokyo Station. Despite it being past lunchtime, the soba restaurant I intended to visit was fully booked. So, I decided to visit "Yakitori Ichitori" in Tokyo Station Ichibangai. They had reopened their business after the state of emergency was lifted on June 21, but they will be closing again starting tomorrow due to the new state of emergency. With a sense of support, I decided to dine there. I ordered their specialty dish, the "Charcoal-Grilled Oyakodon." The egg on top was cooked to a creamy texture, and the aroma of the charcoal grilling whetted my appetite. However, the broth seemed too salty, and unfortunately, there were pieces of liver in the charcoal-grilled dish, which I am not a fan of. It's important to always confirm your preferences. I also tried the "Mentaiko Potato Salad." I prefer potato salads with chunky potatoes, but the one served here seemed to be more like mashed potatoes. It's not that the restaurant did anything wrong, but sometimes you just come across places that don't quite match your tastes.

There are various dining options around Tokyo Station, which is convenient, but I usually don't go to B1F. I was supposed to go to a nearby yakitori restaurant, but realized my mistake after paying. The ingredients were good and the flavors were solid, so I enjoyed it. The parent-child donburi as the finishing touch was also excellent. ^_^

Located on the east side of B1F of Tokyo Station Ichibangai, right near Kurobei Yokocho. This izakaya mainly serves yakitori and offers chicken-based lunch during lunch hours. It's convenient for a quick lunch before catching a train. - Chicken Tempura Set Meal (March 19, 2020) The tempura consists of 4 pieces made from chicken thigh meat. The crispy coating gives way to juicy meat inside, with a delicious soy-based marinade. The set includes lettuce salad, hijiki seaweed, pickles, and chicken soup. The soup has a gentle flavor with a rich chicken broth. I would like to try other chicken-focused lunch menus as well. Thank you for the meal.

After work on a regular day, my friend and I decided to stop by this place for a quick drink before heading home. It's conveniently located right next to the station, which was perfect since it was raining outside. We arrived around 7:30 PM on a weekday and the place was almost full, very lively. Since there were just two of us, we sat at the counter. The menu mainly consisted of yakitori with a variety of side dishes as well. We ordered a tomato salad, chicken broth rolled omelette, yakitori skewers (tsukune with raw egg, thigh meat, liver, skin), and deep-fried cartilage. It's a good spot for a casual drink near Tokyo Station.

Located on the basement floor of Ichibangai in Tokyo Station. It seems that there is a 2-hour time limit for seats when it gets crowded, and it was close to full around 7 pm in the evening. The dishes we had included various types of Hinai-jidori chicken, dashimaki tamago, tsukune, kushikatsu, yakitori, karaage, tulip chicken, and nanban Hinai-jidori chicken. The prices were relatively high, but it's considered a reasonably priced restaurant. The service from the staff was decent, making it a good place for a casual drink in Tokyo Station.

The yakitori pieces are all large and cooked just right. The octopus was also delicious, but overall, the prices are a bit on the higher side. I've been getting a little tired of eating soba and curry all the time, so I decided to try a different restaurant nearby. It's relatively quiet in this area, so I was able to quickly find a seat. I ordered the teriyaki set meal instead of the chicken and egg rice bowl. Even though it's located in the train station, it has a relaxed atmosphere which I like.

I had the "Yakitori Plate" for lunch. It came with a selection of three skewers and oil-drizzled chicken, served on one plate with rice and salad. The yakitori included meatballs, chicken, and something with a crispy texture. It's a strange but delicious experience to eat rice with just three skewers of yakitori (laughs).

During a business trip to Tokyo, I felt like having a cigarette at Tokyo Station, so I looked up directions and went to the smoking room. While thinking about what to eat while smoking, I saw this restaurant across from the smoking room and decided to have lunch there. It seems to operate as a yakitori restaurant at night. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. I ordered the Yakitori set meal (1,296 yen) and a small size beer. They told me that they were about to start grilling the yakitori, so it would take about 10 minutes, so I changed my beer order from small to medium. As long as I had beer, I didn't mind waiting a bit. A beer on a hot day is just perfect! The yakitori set includes three types of yakitori: thigh, seseri, and heart. It also comes with shishito peppers and a small dish of hijiki seaweed. The chicken soup has a gentle flavor that brings out the umami of the chicken. The freshness of the heart is evident in its texture. I ended up eating half of the yakitori as a beer snack, so I left almost half of the rice, but it was very delicious and fluffy rice. It was so tasty that I thought I would like to come back at night to have yakitori here and finish with onigiri. Thank you for the meal.
