Long time no see, Kichijoji (this might be the first Kichijoji review)! It's easy to confuse Atre and Lumine right away, but they are basically station buildings. As someone who used to live in a neighboring station, I still have a strong image of the old LonLon, but... You look so pretty now, huh? (Who are you) It's like that... But when you come to the main building where our shop is located, it reminds me of the chaos of the past. Of course, the tenants and everything look new, but the crowded atmosphere is nostalgic and makes me happy for some reason. The map inside the building is like a code (laughs) and for some reason, that makes me feel happy. Despite having plans and limited time, I wanted to buy something before heading back, and while looking around, I discovered this shop where incredibly cute cats are lined up. Chatelaine... Three Cats? I saw them for the first time. It seems that they are a chocolate shop from Kobe. There are three stores in total, with two in Tokyo, one in Yaesu, and one here. Considering the rarity (and the cat factor), I decided to go here. I had plans to visit Hotel Chocolat and Lindt, other chocolate shops, but... (come to think of it, there are quite a few chocolate shops in Kichijoji!) I ended up here. Next to it is Dalloyau, and they also have many cat-shaped packages, but Dalloyau also has a store in Nakano, so I chose this one this time. While I was looking around, the staff kindly offered me a sample of orange chocolate. Happy (and of course, delicious)♪ I browsed the products while munching. I bought the Pierre Marcolini chocolate sandwich cookies "Bonbon Sand" in caramel flavor, and the "Chocolate Chip Cookies" with a cat silhouette in the center. I was drawn to the cat-shaped can of financiers and the cat-shaped box of bonbons, but personally, I'm not a big fan of matcha or raspberry flavors... If there was a caramel-flavored cat like a tiger cat, I would have bought it immediately (just kidding). Even so, they wrapped them beautifully and put them in a paper bag with the store name and cat silhouette, which made me feel ecstatic. The colorful cats in the shop itself are a feast for the eyes♪ Since it's a station building, you can use Suica, but unfortunately, they don't accept QR payments, which is a shame. I had enough balance on my Suica, so I paid with it. They also included a cold pack since it's summer! There was plenty of time before the expiration date, so I wish I had bought more... First, I tried the "Chocolate Chip Cookies." It's a pack of three, but only the top one has a cat silhouette. I had a feeling it would be like that, but it's a bit disappointing... It's from Chatelaine, so I wish they had made all three cats (laughs). Even though it's a cat silhouette, it looks like it has a face due to an optical illusion, which makes me even more attached to it. But I'll have it right away (am I crazy?). It also contains oatmeal, giving it a crunchy texture. But with plenty of chocolate chips, you can taste the chocolate as well. It might be better to have more chocolate than chocolate itself in the coming season. A deliciousness that doesn't rely on visuals! And then the "Bonbon Sand." Apart from the individually wrapped packaging, there is no cat element. Instead, there is a lot of chocolate. Many chocolate shops offer this type of chocolate sandwich cookies, and I've been observing them regularly lately, but... The characteristic of this shop might be that the chocolate part is thick. Compared to other cookies that are often hard, this one is softer (normal hardness when considering the cookie as a whole). There is a caramel oozing from the chocolate inside. The chocolate itself is more like real chocolate than cream, so you can also enjoy the satisfaction of tasting chocolate♪ Although it's a bit pricey when considered individually, if you think of it as one bonbon, the cookie provides a satisfying bite, and the cost performance is not bad. A charming cat chocolate shop. It's a shame that they only offer takeout. It would be nice to buy it as a souvenir from Kichijoji, as it would be appreciated and well-received (or rather, I want it!).
