A friend requested yakisoba, so we went to Umehana for the first time in a while! We shared a set meal and some a la carte dishes. The yakisoba was as delicious as ever, with its signature feature of ingredients being enclosed. This restaurant is always a top choice when craving Chinese food. It's convenient that there are several locations to choose from!

The photos of the menu and signboard are so beautiful that they create high expectations, but the appearance of the dishes when they arrive is not as attractive. The plum orchid yakisoba for 970 yen looks ordinary and unexpectedly small. The sauce clumps up in the noodles because it is poured inside, making the noodles a bit hard. The yakisoba has a nice charred look, but it feels heavy due to the excessive oil used in cooking. The seafood porridge for 999 yen has seafood that doesn't taste very good and has a strong smell. It is a white porridge, so you would expect it to have a rice flavor. Perhaps they could have used a chicken broth to cook the porridge instead.

Yakisoba. The noodles on the outer edges have no flavor, so be sure to mix them well with the sauce in the center. You can enjoy a gentle taste. The partition at the single-person counter is surprisingly narrow. But it turns out the large woman next to me is taking up a lot of space. It's a shame there are no paper napkins, so I can't wipe my greasy lips.

We decided to eat at a restaurant in Yaesu and tried their specialty dish, Umelansoba. It was great that we could choose the size, so we ordered the large size for our group of 4. Everything went well with beer and all the dishes came in portions of 4, which was just right for us.

I saw an advertisement for Ume Ran at Ueno Station and had been wanting to try it. I visited for lunch at the Tokyo underground mall, but it was very crowded! The noodles were not as crispy as I expected, but it was fun to see the ingredients come out from inside. I felt like there was a bit too much noodles for a woman. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I visited the Yaesu underground shopping area and I was pleasantly surprised to see that many new shops have opened. I decided to have lunch and came across a familiar sight - "Ume Ran"! I remember when their Ume Ran yakisoba was quite popular after being featured in the media. I even visited their store in Dogenzaka, Shibuya, back in the day. So, I couldn't resist and decided to visit. I ordered the Ebi Chiri set for ¥1400. The prawns were fresh and the sweet and sour Ebi Chiri sauce was delicious. The yakisoba had a crispy texture with eggs surrounding it, and the noodles were firm with a vegetable filling in the middle. It was just as tasty as I remembered. The almond jelly was not too firm or too soft, just the right amount of wobble. The set portion was small but just right with both the Ebi Chiri and yakisoba. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Before departing from Tokyo Station, I decided to have a meal at Ume Ran in the Yaesu underground shopping street. This time, I chose the specialty set menu, but instead of mapo tofu, I opted for simmered beef belly. The simmered dish had a distinct Chinese flavor with spices like star anise. The yakisoba was delicious, but I wished there were more variations instead of just one type.

Visited for dinner on Saturday. Ordered Umelan Yakisoba, Sweet and Sour Pork, etc. The Umelan Yakisoba was delicious, but the other dishes were just average. The restaurant was spacious and clean. They had a variety of menu options, and the prices were not too high, so it would be good for families to visit.

I had some business near Tokyo Station, so I decided to try a famous menu item here. I wanted to try the yakisoba, where the noodles are sealed inside. When you flip the crispy noodles, you find a filling of sauce and other ingredients, which tasted delicious when mixed together. I had the lunch set with mapo tofu, soup, and a Spring Valley flavorful draft beer. The Yaezu underground mall had more famous restaurants than I expected, and I now feel like going on a food tour there.

I arrived around 8:30 pm. The staff at the entrance told me that the last order was at 9:00 pm and they would close at 9:30 pm. Despite this, I decided to enter as I was only planning to have a meal. I sat down and ordered the Dan Dan noodles with half fried rice set from the menu. The food was served after about 10 minutes. The Dan Dan noodles had a strong sesame-flavored soup with a bit of spiciness that kicks in later. It wasn't too numbing. The noodles were slightly thin and had a curly texture. The fried rice was served later. It had a firm shape but when I broke it with a spoon, it turned fluffy. The rice was a bit on the firmer side, which made me think I could make fluffy fried rice like this. The thinly sliced char siu mixed in had a soy sauce flavor. After the last order at 9:00 pm, the staff started cleaning up for closing. Even though I was still eating, they began taking out the kitchen trash... I felt that it was necessary to arrive a bit earlier to have a more relaxed dining time. The taste was average and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to pass by this place during lunchtime and decided to eat here because it wasn't crowded and I didn't feel like going out in the heavy rain from the underground mall. I wanted to eat yakisoba after a long time, so I ordered the set meal. The yakisoba portion was small but just right for me. I was a bit disappointed with the sloppy interior signage and the fact that the mapo tofu was cold.

I visited around 2:30 in the afternoon on a regular day. The restaurant was not full, but there were quite a few customers. It's no wonder it's a popular place. The specialty yakisoba was very refined and easy to eat, with a taste that would appeal to everyone. For those who like a more spicy flavor, it may be slightly lacking.

I visited around 1 pm on a regular day. I was torn between ordering just the yakisoba or the lunch set with yakisoba in a small size, shrimp chili, and almond jelly. I decided to go with the set. It had been a while since I last had yakisoba from Umehashi, and this time it felt a bit oily and lacked flavor. I only took a few bites before adding some vinegar to make it more palatable. The shrimp chili was decent, but the almond jelly in the set was disappointing. It was watery and lacked the rich almond flavor I was hoping for. I think they could do better, especially since they are a Chinese restaurant. I've had better almond jelly from convenience stores. I probably won't be coming back.

I purchased a regular size of plum-flavored yakisoba. Despite coming with multiple people, the order mistakes made by the staff were disappointing. It's a shame. The yakisoba was firm and had a filling of sweet sauce, resembling the taste of plate udon. The yakisoba was well-cooked, matching my preference for a good sear, and I enjoyed it.

I had always known that this was a very famous restaurant with many branches, but I had never been there before. Recently, I had plans to meet around Tokyo Station and visited for the first time. It was delicious Chinese food! The menu had a good variety of options. They even had yakisoba set menu available at night. Whether you focus on meals or drinks, you won't have any trouble here. I decided to order a few dishes to try different things. Everything I ordered was delicious. I thought it was a place where you can enjoy tasty Chinese food at a reasonable price. The interior of the restaurant was also clean. Everything was delicious and served at a good pace. The staff's service was pleasant as well. It wasn't overly formal, but it wasn't lacking either, making it enjoyable to have a conversation while eating. It was a great place to dine. I would like to try the Umeyaki soba with seafood next time.

I had always wanted to visit Ume Ran. I happened to come across it while walking in Yaechika, so I decided to go in. Of course, I had to try the famous Ume Ran yakisoba. Since I had missed lunch, I also ordered the ankake chahan. First, the yakisoba. It looks impressive, but the taste was just average... I think the seafood option would have been better. The ankake chahan had a strong star anise flavor, different from typical Japanese Chinese food. I ended up feeling really full. Thank you for the meal.

I thought about getting a set because ordering individual items felt lonely, but the set was too much for me! It would probably satisfy a man, but as a woman, it was too much. I wish they had a ladies' set or something. The food was delicious. I was happy to try the famous yakisoba that was included.

I visited Yaechika for lunch on a regular day. I arrived at 11:30 and although there were lines everywhere, I chose this restaurant as it was relatively less crowded. I ordered the dan dan noodles set and the umelan yakisoba. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The dan dan noodles had a mild spiciness and a slight acidity, making it a soup that you can easily drink. The noodles were like typical Chinese-style egg noodles. The mini fried rice that came with the set lacked flavor and tasted like just the ingredients. The umelan yakisoba had one side of the noodles fried crispy, but it seemed like they didn't remove the excess oil, making it greasy and slippery. The sauce inside also ended up tasting oily. However, the dan dan noodles were delicious. The prices were a bit high, probably due to the location near Tokyo Station. I will try a different restaurant next time.

Umehashi has now become quite popular with a large number of stores. I tried it for the first time and found that they offer great value lunch set menus. I ordered the Umehashi yakisoba set, which came with chicken and cashew nut stir-fry and Chinese soup. The yakisoba had a crispy texture with hot sauce mixed in. You can adjust the taste with vinegar and mustard halfway through. The portion was quite generous. The chicken and cashew nut stir-fry was well seasoned with a good mix of chicken, cashew nuts, carrots, bamboo shoots, and green peppers. It makes me want to have a beer. They have a wide variety of menu options, so I would like to try the mapo tofu next time.

We enjoyed a group dinner gathering at this restaurant. The prices are reasonable, so you can order a variety of dishes a la carte. They also offer set courses for those who prefer a simpler option. The fried rice was delicious, in my opinion. The seafood porridge had a gentle flavor, but I wished it had a bit more saltiness. The signature fried noodles were flavorful and came in a generous portion, but they could have been hotter. We finished with almond jelly, which seemed like it was not of high quality and lacked sweetness. Overall, there is room for improvement despite the tasty dishes offered.
