Today, my wife went to a girls' gathering, so I took the kids to Swan Boat at Chibis and Ishigami Park! We rented two sets of boats (60 minutes in total) - Swan Boat and regular boat. The kids didn't help row (just used their feet), so my legs are exhausted! As soon as we got off the boat, they all started chanting, "We're hungry, we want to play Gachapon!" We ended up at a shop near the boarding area (Parks). Luckily, there were benches nearby, so we didn't have to search for seats, and people were considerate, so seats opened up quickly even though it was crowded! The shared trash cans were also convenient. The environment was great! This time, we had: Takoyaki soba (Yakisoba + 3 pieces of Takoyaki for 650 yen), Takoyaki (fluffy type for 500 yen), and Shaved ice (with plenty of honey for 300 yen). I wanted to try the dumplings too, but we couldn't finish everything, so we had to skip it. They even gave us children's forks for free, and the fact that the yakisoba didn't have pickled ginger on it was great for the kids! Next time, we'll definitely try the dumplings! We'll definitely come back for more while visiting the Swan Boat. Highly recommended!

There is a shop inside Shakujii Park. They offer a variety of light meals, snacks, rice cakes, and drinks. I enjoyed a hot cocoa and a hot cafe au lait while walking around the pond. During winter, they apparently put marshmallows in the cocoa. It was sweet and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

People say that it's not good for you if you don't get sunlight... I heard that on TV. Since starting telework, I hardly leave the house. With the state of emergency, going out is difficult... Despite it being February, it's surprisingly warm and clear. Such a waste to stay inside on a day like this! So, I decided to take a walk in the park. The sunshine is gentle and feels nice. I was wearing a down jacket, but it was so hot. The pond is under construction and drained, with the famous swan boats lined up. I walked around the spacious park and reached my destination, where I found something intriguing during my research - "Sanfuku Dango." It's sold at the boat rental shop! You can get three "fuku" (good luck) - Daifuku, Kofuku, and Yufuku. I believe in the power of positivity! I enjoyed them while making a wish. The dango was grilled over charcoal, giving it a fragrant aroma. It was chewy and soft, with a satisfying size. But then, after finishing them, I realized... Huh? Is this soy sauce flavor? I ordered the walnut miso flavor... (T_T) I can't eat another one due to the calories and filling nature... Oh well. I'll have a rematch when the cherry blossoms bloom next time!

Visit in the early afternoon on the weekend. I come to see the autumn leaves at Shakujii Park every year, and this year I visited two weeks in a row. Despite the winter chill from the north wind, I walked around without eating anything until after 2 pm, when I started feeling hungry. I decided to have a light meal here. I ordered "takoyaki soba," which allows you to enjoy both yakisoba and takoyaki. It was ready in a few minutes, and I enjoyed it on a bench near the Shakujii Pond. Even though it was a simple dish, the warm and comforting feeling was nice in the cold weather. The extremely polite service from the staff at the shop when I placed my order was also delightful. It was a day of fatigue and poor health, but this meal helped me recover my energy. This weekend may not have been the best timing to enjoy the autumn leaves, but I am always pleased that Shakujii Park's autumn colors show a rich and vibrant display every year.

【Visit Motivation】Stopped by as I was at the park.【Atmosphere】Located a 7-minute walk from the station, the store faces Shakuji Park (pond). The exterior of the store is marked by the name on the ceiling, serving light snacks for pond users. Inside, there are light snacks and a small selection of sweets. There are many chairs and tables in front of the store (13 tables for 4 people each).【Taste】- Cherry Blossom Baumkuchen (140 yen): I purchased this Baumkuchen made with cherry blossom leaves as it is rare. It has a soft texture and a taste that resembles cherry blossoms due to the use of cherry blossom extract. It is a unique product and may be worth trying as a novelty. Rating: 3.2 out of 5 (average rating of 3)【Overall】I tried a unique item.

Next to the boat landing at Shakujii Pond is a shop that also serves food. I had the ramen and half fried rice set. The taste was rich and it tasted even better eating it outside. The portion was also generous, filling up my stomach nicely. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the meal.

I don't care if the food is delicious or not. A place to drink beer with dogs.

Sanpuku Dango soy sauce flavor, the sweet and salty soy sauce topping, I wish it was a bit hotter, canned beer is expensive at Parks with a fixed price, Black Label for 320 yen, Matcha and caramel soft serve for 400 yen, expensive but delicious to enjoy outside.

I went to a nearby place and decided to enjoy the cherry blossoms at Shakujii Park. The weather was nice, and there were many families riding boats. I decided to join in and bought the famous "Monja Man" from the shop. I brought it with me as outside food is allowed. I chose a swan boat and paddled out into the middle of the pond. It was tiring but fun. I opened the "Monja Man" and took a bite while admiring the cherry blossoms. It had a mild and rich sauce-like flavor with soba noodles mixed in. It was as expected. I enjoyed the peaceful afternoon in Nerima with children's laughter in the background and a cup of rooibos tea to quench my thirst.

I heard a rumor about delicious dango being sold at the snack shop in Shakujii Park, so I went there with someone. Shakujii Park is a bit far from the station, but it's a very pleasant park with boats, rare birds, and a nice place for a leisurely walk during warm seasons. Now, the specialty of Shakujii Park is the "Sanfuku Dango"! It is sold at the snack shop near the boat dock. It is said that freshly grilled dango is only available on weekends, so I couldn't confirm if it's sold on weekdays. There are two flavors: soy sauce and walnut miso. The walnut miso flavor is darker and more intense in taste. The freshly grilled dango is soft, with a nice char and a hint of sweetness, making it quite delicious while enjoying the view of the park's pond.

Strolling around Shakujii Park. There are many people playing Pokemon Go. They are staring at their smartphone screens all over the park. Be careful not to fall into the pond. I found a shop next to the boat house. They serve ramen and other simple meals. Inside the shop, I found a colorful fruit ice cream for 300 yen. It's a bit pricey, but it seems to be made with real fruit so I bought it. I ate it by the pond. It's so hot today. I took a bite from the top. Ouch, my teeth hurt. The first flavor is strawberry. It doesn't seem to be made with real fruit, more like fruit pulp mixed with juice and frozen. The second flavor is papaya. The third is melon. The fourth is pineapple. It's a bit fancy fruit sherbet on a stick. It was a delicious treat. Thank you. Cooling down from the inside.

This is the park store "Parks Shakuji Store" located inside Shakuji Park. It is about a 6-7 minute walk from Shakuji Park Station, near the entrance closer to the station. They sell soft serve ice cream, popcorn, dango, as well as drinks and snacks commonly found in supermarkets and convenience stores. While they don't have anything particularly unique or delicious, it's convenient to stop by when you're walking in the park and feeling a bit hungry. Shakuji Park is quite spacious for a park in Tokyo. Walking around the park is good exercise. The Sanpouji Pond in Shakuji Park is famous as one of the three major spring-fed ponds in Musashino. You can also ride boats, and the cherry blossoms in spring are beautiful. Whenever I come here for a walk, I always end up buying ice cream or popcorn from this store. The prices are a bit higher compared to supermarkets and convenience stores, but they have a variety of items and it's convenient. There are tables and chairs in front of the store, but they are often full on weekends.

This is a Tokyo Metropolitan Government-run store located in Shakujii Park. They also have stores in Koganei Park, Nogawa Park, and Fuchu no Mori Park where I often take my dogs. About 10 years ago, park stores were not really noticed, and the food wasn't that delicious and seemed expensive. However, now they have started creating specialty menu items, such as om yakisoba and sanfuku dango, which are delicious and unique to the parks. The quality of Parks is the same at Shakujii Park. The usual delicious menu items are available. Each store has its own characteristics, for example, in Koganei Park, the freshly baked bread (which some say is a bit overcooked) and hamburgers are quite recommended. In Shakujii Park, the oden might be unique. But I ended up reflexively choosing takoyaki. The dogs were looking forward to soft serve ice cream... When I ordered the takoyaki for 390 yen, I heard a beep from the microwave in the back for a while. I didn't pay much attention to it. (´∀`) And when I went to pick up the takoyaki after hearing "Thank you for waiting!", there was a wonderful takoyaki covered in bonito flakes waiting for me. Truly wonderful. Japan's freezing technology is amazing. The perfectly cooked takoyaki with a nice crispy texture and a strong presence of octopus! It's really delicious! Kirin Free smoothly moistens my throat, and I swallow the takoyaki down my esophagus. A moment of luxury on the shaded terrace, avoiding the summer sun. Watching the boat-riding couples, elderly people fishing, and young people jogging by the pond, I felt a sense of peace. I came by car so I couldn't drink alcohol, but they also sell beer and chuhai, nicely chilled. They also have a variety of snacks, so it might turn into a little beer garden. (Although the store doesn't stay open late) Park stores these days are worth recommending! *Pets are not allowed inside the store, but the terrace seating is allowed. *The surrounding coin parking lots are cheaper than the parking lot at Shakujii Park... strange. *It seems that fishing is prohibited, but there are many people fishing on the north side of the pond. It must be a designated area. *Everything is really delicious. Don't underestimate it.

Sometimes, I decided to let my wife have some time off, so I gave her tickets to a live concert as a gift. I took the kids to the park while she was out. It was my son's first time on a boat, and he was really excited. However, it turned out to be hotter than I expected on the water. There was no shade, the sun was reflecting off the water, and we had to row the boat. It was a miscalculation on my part, I thought it would be cooler and more comfortable. After the boat ride, we took a break together. My daughter had a famous dumpling, my son had ice cream, and I had a cold drink. The dumpling here is called "Tokyo Yakimochi" and it's quite big and filling. It even had a face on it. While my daughter was eating the dumpling, she suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! My tooth fell out!" Her tooth had actually gotten stuck in the dumpling. She had been wiggling it and wondering if it would fall out, so she chose to eat the dumpling. It was a bit shaky to begin with, but according to my daughter, she thought, "I wonder if my tooth will come out with this one." It seemed like a bit of an afterthought, but it was also cute. It may have just been a simple incident at the park's snack shop, but it turned into a nice memory.

Suddenly I realized that my daughter was always with her mother and we hadn't spent much time together, just the two of us. I thought that wasn't good, so I casually suggested, "Hey, let's go on a date with daddy next time we have a day off?" She responded with great joy, "A date?! Let's go!" Probably because she liked the sound of the word "date." She immediately ran off saying, "I'll go pick out my date outfit!" Even though it was still a week away. She said she wanted to have hamburgers and ice cream for lunch. So, I made a note to take her to a pancake and ice cream shop or a place with homemade-style hamburgers. On the day of our date, the weather was perfect. The main event I planned was a boat ride, especially since it was my daughter's first time on a boat and she was very excited. We spotted a 31 Ice Cream shop next to the boat dock. "Oh! It's 31!" The sweet treat I had researched turned out to be cup ice cream... Oh well, as long as she's happy, that's what matters most. I also bought a frozen drink and we sat on a bench to enjoy them together. It's strange, but no matter what kind of product it is, it always tastes better when you eat it outside. So, we enjoyed our treats in the park. But after the boat ride, my daughter was thrilled, but I was exhausted from rowing non-stop for 30 minutes. After that, I was pretty worn out.
