After a gathering nearby, I recommended this place for the after-party. Despite the state of emergency, the restaurant was bustling. It seems to have many local customers, and the chef must be working hard cooking and serving at the same time. I ordered the Ton-tekki, which I had last time and loved, and also tried the liver teppanyaki. It had a slightly wild flavor with garlic chips, but it was delicious. Today, they had a special sushi menu, and I found the vinegared rice to be excellent. I heard that the chef trained at a sushi restaurant. We had a great time chatting and ended up drinking too much. I have a habit of exploring new restaurants on food review websites, so I'll definitely come back for another drink when I want to try a new place.

I visited "Yotsuya Maruka," located along Gaien-higashi Street, just a 1-minute walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station. I stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering around Yotsuya-Sanchome looking for a place to eat. I had been to this location when it was a udon shop a long time ago. There were two customers at the counter when I arrived, so I took a seat at the far end of the counter. I started with a draft beer, which was Premium Malt's. For food, I ordered the simmered pork offal (with extra green onions), shredded dried young sardines with grated daikon, and liver and pork tongue skewers. The seasoning of the simmered pork offal was really good and quite addictive. The refreshing shredded dried young sardines with grated daikon was perfect as a drinking snack. And the liver and pork tongue skewers were delicious, especially with a highball. The garlic chips sprinkled on top and the cabbage underneath, soaked in sauce, were also very tasty. There were other dishes on the menu as well.

I went to an izakaya for the first time in over six months. It had about 6 seats at the counter and 3 tables. The menu had a simmered dish listed at the top, so I figured it must be a specialty. They also had fried squid legs, tsukune, and other dishes. The appetizers were octopus and sea bream in hot water. I also ordered a sashimi platter, which was fresh and delicious. The simmered dish had a rich broth, with sweet beef tendons. The rolled omelette was fluffy and excellent. The pork steak was tender and the sauce was rich, making it a perfect match for drinks. It was a place I would want to visit again if it were nearby.

I went there for the first time in several years. When I looked at the menu and tried to order, they kept saying, "We don't have that." This happened several times with both the food and drinks. As I sat at the counter, regular customers sat on either side of me and started chatting without hesitation, and even the manager joined in. In other words, it's that kind of place.

Local residents' go-to restaurant. The food is quite delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming. Although it may seem intimidating from the outside, the interior is bright and the staff are friendly, so it's all good.
