I had a drink with my friends who grew up in Sangenjaya from before 6 pm. We enjoyed dishes like sweet and spicy chicken liver and smoked pork belly with a flavor similar to braised pork. There was also a dish similar to xiaolongbao with shiitake mushrooms. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, I forgot the names or if they were original creations because the owner explained them to us but my memory failed me. The owner reminded me of Jim Jarmusch, and maybe even a bit of David Bowie? Another friend joined us after work, and we ended the meal with Chinese congee. It was a cozy restaurant with the nostalgic atmosphere of Sangenjaya that I love. It was always tempting to pass by that nostalgic restaurant. Finally, I decided to go in and was greeted by a lively owner. Every dish I tried was delicious, and it was no wonder the restaurant was always bustling. Thank you for the wonderful meal. It was delicious.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday night. I had just finished a project and wanted to treat myself to something delicious on my way home. I arrived around 10:30 pm, and although the restaurant was closing at 11:00 pm, the owner kindly let me in. I ordered a beer, yakisoba with mixed vegetables, and gyoza. Unfortunately, they were out of rice. While waiting, the owner asked if I wanted the gyoza first since it would take longer to cook. I said it was fine to serve them in the order they were ready. The yakisoba was made with thin noodles that were fried and crispy, with plenty of vegetables and pork, giving a satisfying crunch. The gyoza was juicy and meaty. The food was delicious, and the owner's thoughtful service made me feel warm and happy. It was a great meal! Thank you for the treat.

The fried rice and ramen at this restaurant are so delicious that I go there every week. The jellyfish, steamed pork, stir-fried greens, mapo tofu, pig's feet, fried chicken, and dumplings are all tasty. The rice made by the owner is especially recommended, as well as the jellyfish, mapo tofu, fried rice, and ramen.

I went to "Chuka Chuubo Ran Tana," a Chinese kitchen located near Tokyo Metro Sangenchaya Station, by myself on a Saturday after 8 pm. I had been wanting to visit this place as it was featured in a book by Naoyuki Honda, "Top Chefs' Secret Favorite Restaurants." It's a casual Chinese restaurant run by an elderly man with white hair. Luckily, I managed to get a seat as a couple was leaving when I arrived. The interior had a couple of 4-person tables and one 2-person table. I sat at the 2-person table in the back left corner. I ordered the Sakura Shrimp with Green Vegetables Stir-Fry for 950 yen and Gyoza for 500 yen, both of which were recommended in the book. The dishes arrived in about 15 minutes, and they were delicious. The Sakura Shrimp with Green Vegetables Stir-Fry had shiny and hot vegetables with perfect seasoning, and the Gyoza had a great texture and flavor, especially when dipped in the sauce. I was very satisfied with the authentic Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend "Chuka Chuubo Ran Tana" for a casual and delicious meal. Just a reminder, they only accept cash for payment. When I mentioned that I came after reading Naoyuki Honda's book, the owner showed a wonderful smile. He is a nice man. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy tasty Chinese food easily.

I think it's a representative neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Sangenjaya that has been around for a long time. I always have the impression that it's crowded, and I finally went in after a long time. Overall, I think it's Chinese food that is easy to eat with less greasiness. Fried rice is oily and has a chewy texture of rice and the flavor of green onions. The char siu adds a delicious taste. The soup that comes with it is similar to soy sauce ramen, salty and flavorful. The dumplings have a good amount of meat juice, even though the meat filling is a bit less. The combination of the dumpling skin and the meat juice is great.

I visited this place during the New Year period. It is bustling with rock band members, actors, and young regular customers due to its location. The handsome gray-haired owner, who calls himself the David Bowie of Sangenjaya, makes drinks on his own, with the help of regular customers. Mixing Shaoxing wine from a jar with soda is recommended. The popular menu item seems to be fried rice soup. The owner, who is elderly, mentioned that he may or may not continue the tradition of opening during the New Year period in the future.

The third stop on the three-tea drink tour. We were looking for some ramen to finish off the night, so we headed to this place for their salt ramen. Since it was late, they said they didn't have any rice dishes, so we had to pass on the fried rice. We ordered the recommended shumai and salt ramen with some pan-fried dumplings. The dumplings were heavy on the garlic, which wasn't really to my liking. The shumai had Taiwanese sausages inside, adding a nice texture and sweetness. Delicious! The salt ramen had a good soup base, but it was a bit too salty that day. The chef was cooking while chatting, so the flavors were a bit off. The atmosphere and the chef's personality were a bit lackluster, but it's a decent spot for a final drink stop.

Visited Rantana after several years on a certain day in January. I remember my first visit was before they moved, and I also visited their new location after that, always in a tipsy state when I visit. This time's visit, after a long time, was the second stop for Sangenjaya drinking. I still love this space. It's calming (*´-`) ※ Oolong Highball 500 yen ※ Shumai 600 yen ※ Stir-fried seafood with salt 1400 yen ※ Stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts 950 yen The stir-fried dishes have a strong salty flavor, but it's a delicious taste that doesn't bother me. The shumai here is the best. And above all, I love the owner's personality ♡ It's hard to convey the goodness of this restaurant in words. But it's 120% perfect for those who like it! That's what I think this restaurant is like. It's a shame I couldn't eat ramen because I was so full from the second stop this time. It's delicious too^ ^ I'll drop by again. Thank you for the meal ♡

A Chinese restaurant located in a back alley. You can enjoy a meal or drinks here - the friendly owner runs the place. Start with a draft beer. Try the dumplings and cashew nut chicken stir-fry for appetizers. And add a seafood salt stir-fry. Everything was delicious. I'd like to try their ramen or fried rice for lunch sometime.

I thought it was going to end at the bar, but we ended up going to another place. Cheers with a lemon sour! The boiled pork I tried for the first time was the perfect accompaniment to the drinks. We had two stir-fried dishes and then some dumplings. The dumplings were packed with meat and went well with the drinks. Finally, we finished with ramen.

Unexpected overtime. It's great that this place is open late on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This was our 7th stop. Cheers with a lemon sour! We started with mapo tofu and dumplings as snacks. The mapo tofu had a strong flavor, and the dumplings were packed full of filling, making them perfect for drinking. We finished with fried rice and ramen. The beef bone soup in the ramen here is exceptional. As the drowsiness started to kick in, we decided to call it a night here.

A Chinese restaurant open until late at night. We had already eaten sushi in Nakameguro, but we had made plans to meet up with a group of people at this place. This restaurant in Sangenjaya is open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays. It seems to be popular among people in the food and beverage industry. When we arrived, there were still customers using it for dinner. We ordered some food and toasted with lemon sours! Two people who happened to come in turned out to be acquaintances of our friends, so we ended up eating and drinking together. With a total of 5 people, we were able to try a wide variety of dishes! Everything was delicious, but the ramen we had in the early morning was incredibly comforting. We ate and drank a lot (laughs).

Once inside, you can relax and enjoy a leisurely time in a cozy space, which is perfect for those who want to spend time slowly. In my case, I visited with a friend I had become friendly with the staff, and we had a very enjoyable time. Another customer who visited later said, "I'll have a beer," and poured it themselves on what seemed like a tab. It felt like playing golf. I realized that the relationship between customers and the staff is what makes this place trustworthy.
