This is a review of a food supermarket located on the south side of Iidabashi Station, in the commercial facility called Plano Mall. The company is headquartered in Shinjuku and is a mid-sized chain with 35 stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area. They describe themselves as a high-quality food store. There are rumors that a certain female celebrity who lives in Iidabashi often visits this supermarket, and that the homemade dishes featured on her blog resemble the deli items sold at this store. Regardless, it's a pretty good supermarket, so I was instructed to check it out and stopped by while having lunch nearby. The store, located on the semi-basement floor, is quite spacious. It is larger than Lamura's Miuraya in this area, as well as Kimuraya and Yoshiya in Kagurazaka, and is second in size to Inageya, which opened last year. The products on display are quite high-end and carefully selected. Vegetables and eggs are from Aichi, meat is from Kyushu, and authentic items from all over Japan are gathered here. They have a wide variety of herbs, and it's amazing that they sell ingredients like cuttlefish for hot pot. The deli and bread items in question seem to be delivered from their own factory, Chef World Co., Ltd. in Niiza City, Saitama Prefecture, instead of being cooked on-site. However, they look quite elaborate and delicious. So, I decided to buy a set of inari sushi, rolled omelette, and thick sushi roll. I think they taste above the standard for supermarket deli items. In conclusion, the result of the reconnaissance is that the relationship with the deli items on the blog is unclear, but it seems to be a pretty useful supermarket. It's a shame that there isn't one near my home, but if I have the chance, I would like to come here to buy ingredients at the Iidabashi or Yokohama Isezakicho stores.

Near JR Iidabashi Station West Exit, there is a supermarket called "Mittoku". It is located in a semi-basement of a building, with a decent floor area, similar to the Myogadani Station store. The entrance is designed without vegetables near it, possibly to consider the building's appearance. They also have an original brand bread corner. The variety of bento boxes and side dishes is extensive. The "nori rolls" are delicious and worth the price. In this area, there are "Mittoku", "Seijo Ishii" at Sakura Terrace, and "Miwadoya" at Lumine, making it more convenient than the Kudanshita or Bancho neighborhoods. A casual and convenient store to visit!

One day, I found a supermarket near Iidabashi Station that I don't usually go to. Surprisingly, it was right outside the west exit. The location had changed from before, so it was right in front of me. Wow, I didn't know there was one here! It's called Mitoku. I was feeling a bit peckish, so I looked around for something that might satisfy my hunger and found Chef World's dorayaki! I didn't know about it at all, but apparently it's made at Mitoku's own factory. They also make bread and cakes here. On this day, the dorayaki was on sale, so I bought one with red bean paste. There was also one with green tea paste, but I was drawn to the fact that it used 100% specially cultivated azuki beans from the Hokkaido Komaya Farm. Oh, the dough is perfectly round and looks so neat. Let's give it a try! The dough is moist and, well, this definitely has more of a "dorayaki sold at supermarkets" feel rather than a traditional Japanese confectionery shop feel. Well, I guess that's to be expected. It's not made to last a long time, but it's sealed. However, the red bean paste is quite delicious. It doesn't have any unnecessary flavors. Looking at the ingredients, it contains glycerin sodium acetate, but the only preservative used is polylysine. This is an additive used for preservation purposes derived from fermented foods and is mostly harmless to the human body. And with a price in the 100 yen range, isn't this quite a good deal? Well, this was unexpected. I'd like to keep checking it out in the future. Thanks for the meal!

JR Iidabashi Station is located a 2-minute walk from both the east and west exits, on the 1st floor of a tower mansion. It is a supermarket chain of the CGC Group, which operates in Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa. They offer a wide variety of fresh products, as well as bento boxes and side dishes. One of their popular items is the "Plump Anago Manpuku Tenju" (as of December 5, 2022). In a long rectangular case, the anago tempura is packed tightly, giving a sense of fullness. The anago tempura is thick and slightly firm, with a substantial texture. The sauce is sweet and complements the anago tempura and rice well. It comes with sides of tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) and pickled shiba (a type of vegetable). This dish is not only great for shopping for home meals but also convenient for nearby office workers looking for a satisfying lunch. Enjoy your meal!
