Finally, I was able to go back after thinking that the situation with COVID had settled down, which was three years since my last visit. However, due to the seventh wave, I couldn't go back again. We made sure that there were no customers and went early with my wife. They said they stopped serving set meals, but they kindly offered rice and miso soup. Of course, we ordered the master's carefully selected tuna sashimi and the hidden gem, the hamburger! The sashimi was really delicious with a perfect amount of fat. The hamburger was fluffy with crunchy onions. It was really delicious! Thank you, Master. Please play "Nanbu Semishigure" again.

I have visited this restaurant many times, but now they are not open for lunch. You can still have a set meal for dinner, but since there are many people drinking, it might be a bit intimidating to just have a meal. The kind master and mama run the shop, where you can eat, drink, sing karaoke, and stay until dawn. The strange thing is that everything on the menu is 500 yen. The sashimi set meal, chilled tomatoes, pickles, beer, everything is 500 yen. The only thing that costs 200 yen is one karaoke song. When asked about the unusual pricing, the master says it's easy to calculate. The kind master has a good eye for fish, and you can't find a sashimi set meal for 500 yen anywhere else. Depending on the season, they also have sea squirt, making it a truly wonderful place for me.

I visited again after a long time. I had hoya at the master's place! It was delicious! Eating hoya makes me feel relieved. Perhaps my past life was a whale.

Since getting COVID, I haven't been in touch at all, but the master is still doing well. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated. However, the master's eye for selecting sashimi is as sharp as ever. The sashimi was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

On November 5th (Wednesday), during lunchtime, the drinking enthusiast visited Kamata. Today's lunch was a solo adventure, so I decided to explore the Kamata area on the Keikyu Line. I arrived at "Fukuwa-ya," a restaurant located a little off the shopping street. What a great name, right?! All the set meals here are only 500 yen each! Options include grilled fish, horse mackerel fry, shrimp fry, oyster fry, chicken karaage, chicken nanban, mixed fry, ginger pork, stamina dish, eggplant miso stir-fry, katsudon, oyakodon, curry rice, ikura and salmon oyakodon, sashimi, and hamburger. Today, I ordered the ikura and salmon oyakodon! Before serving, they confirmed the rice portion, and I opted for a regular size instead of a large. When the ikura and salmon oyakodon arrived, it was packed with plenty of ikura and salmon, almost covering the rice completely. As I ate, I realized that there was not enough rice due to the generous amount of ikura and salmon. I should have gone for the large size after all. Nevertheless, getting all this for only 500 yen is such a great deal!

Located just a 3-minute walk from Keikyu Station, "Fukuwa-ya" is a newly opened restaurant tucked away in a narrow alley near the famous Hane-tsuki Gyoza shop "Kinshun". The entrance may be a bit hard to find at first as it is not visible from the outside, but once you step inside, you'll be hooked. All set meals are priced at 500 yen, including curry, tonkatsu, and salmon ikura donburi. The basic lineup includes rice, a main dish, pickles, potato salad or macaroni salad, and miso soup. The menu changes periodically, reflecting seasonal ingredients or the owner's mood. Rice refills are free, and they will add more rice to your donburi upon request. The seasoning is just right, making it easy to overeat. This is the kind of place you'll want to tell others about, and it seems to be gaining popularity with more customers coming in. It may become a popular spot with queues in the future.
