After having lunch alone at "Ajikuraya," I was frantically working until 6:00 PM when I had a dinner reservation with my partner at "Avolonte," a restaurant we were visiting for the first time. Before the pandemic, this restaurant used to be visited by a few people, but now it's only me. We decided on a la carte for the food, and for drinks, I thought a glass of wine would be fine. The menu didn't have clear individual prices, which I think in this restaurant would be the glass of wine. We decided to start with sparkling wine, which we should have noticed when it was brought to us. The types and prices were all left to the discretion of the restaurant. After the sparkling wine, I had red wine, my partner had white wine, and I added another glass of red wine at the end. Since there was no glass wine menu, the types and prices were all left to the owner. We had two glasses of sparkling wine, an appetizer platter, roasted Tasmanian lamb loin, a glass of red wine, a glass of white wine, and another glass of red wine. The appetizer was okay, but my partner couldn't eat the lamb meat due to its unique smell, so I ended up eating it all. The wine was rich and delicious, but the bill came out to over 19,000 yen. For us common folks, it's not a place we would revisit. If we were to go back, we would start with beer and then maybe a bottle of wine? If it's non-alcoholic for lunch, we might consider revisiting, but for now, thank you for the meal.
