I revisited "Yakitori Torira," which has won the Tabelog Award 2022 Silver and the Tabelog Yakitori Top 100 2022. The restaurant is located in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, just a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station on the Tenjin Omuta Line. The second floor of a building with a yellow lower part of the wall. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and chic, with a neat display of alcohol and a wine cellar. There are only counter seats available. This place is known for serving Takasaka chicken, with a daily shipment of 30 birds. The dishes I tried this time included chicken tenderloin with egg yolk, various cuts of chicken meat, grilled chicken sushi, and a variety of other delicious items. Each dish was of high quality and delicious, making it a delightful dining experience. The chef was friendly and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located in Fukuoka City, Chuo-ku, Hirao 3-10-9 area, a 7-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station! It is situated a bit off the main street from Hirao Kita Intersection on Takamiya Street. The exterior is on the 2nd floor of a mixed-use building! The interior has only counter seats! It operates on a reservation-only basis with two sessions per day. No solo customers allowed, must be accompanied by a referrer to visit! Due to these restrictions, reservations are hard to come by! The restaurant is popular among gourmet fans nationwide, stirring up their desire to visit. They use the sought-after "Takasaka chicken" from Hyogo Prefecture! The exclusive course menu features dishes made with Takasaka chicken, known only to a select few due to its limited availability. Seated at the counter, you will feel at ease with the casual atmosphere and friendly approach of the owner. This is my second visit, and I feel like the charm of this place is even more apparent than before. The creative dishes made with Takasaka chicken are exquisite, especially the "marinated" dish which is surprisingly delicious! The "tataki" has a wonderful aroma and flavor, with crispy skin and moist meat, complemented by a special jelly sauce. The hand-rolled sushi served personally by the owner is a moment to capture, and its taste is akin to delicious tuna. The fusion of vinegar rice and marinated Takasaka chicken creates a delightful harmony, enhanced by a perfect pairing with Pinot Noir wine. The "kintama" egg dish with bonito flakes and firm vinegar rice is an interactive dish that surprises with its unique flavor. The "shirako" dish is exceptional, showcasing the best of Takasaka chicken! The delicate yet rich flavor is outstanding, a masterpiece from the producer! Paired with Pinot wine, it is a delightful combination that you want to savor slowly. The "aosa chawanmushi" with a strong chicken broth is delicious and serves as a refreshing break in between courses. The skewers range from "sasami" to "momonegi," with a simple and elegant taste of Takasaka chicken. The "momonegi" with crispy skin is appetizing and showcases the refined taste of Takasaka chicken. The "tebasaki" skewer is perfectly grilled and delicious! My favorite of the day. The "mizutaki" is served in individual portions and differs from the grilled dishes, with a delicious taste that highlights the natural flavor of chicken. I wish they also served chicken hot pot. The signature "tsukune" with added sansho pepper is delicious and makes you want more! A dish that you want to take home or order again. The rare cut "kintama" skewer at the end is marinated and grilled with a non-sweet soy sauce, offering a rich and delightful taste. And lastly, the "ramen" as the finale has a rich soy sauce flavor with Takasaka chicken broth and chicken oil, creating a deep and flavorful taste! Visited on a regular night!! Finally, I got to go to the restaurant I've always wanted to visit!! A yakitori restaurant that requires a complete introduction system!! This time, I was graciously invited by a regular customer and visited the restaurant! With a surprising Foodlog rating of "4.30," this restaurant is ranked 3rd out of 32,048 yakitori restaurants nationwide. It's a place that yakitori fans and gourmet celebrities all over the country are dying to go to!! Awarded SILVER in 2022, BRONZE in 2021 and 2023, and selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023! The time has finally come, and I'm truly happy and excited about it!! I was a bit drunk, so I forgot to take notes halfway through, but we started with one-dish items like konbu-shime, chicken breast sashimi, and pickled kinkan, then moved on to skewers, and finished with ramen as the closing dish!! The quality of the various dishes featuring Takasaka chicken was remarkably high, and I was in heaven the whole time!! The head chef's entertaining personality was so impressive, making me want to go back to this amazing restaurant again!! It was a fantastic yakitori restaurant that didn't feel like a long 4-hour visit at all, but rather a charming and fascinating experience!! I can't wait to go back again!! After the Obon holiday, I visited Torira. It may be difficult to feel the season with chicken or meat, but the taste of chicken changes each time. The skill of bringing out the deliciousness to the fullest at that moment. The finish on this day can be said to be stable. Enjoying each part of the chicken. It's the best. The flow from individual dishes to skewers. The special skewers never fail to impress. In the genre of yakitori, the range of chicken served is limited. It doesn't deviate from chicken. A course that revolves around chicken. The vegetables in between are also very delicious. But the main focus is on chicken. Expressing the ups and downs with skewers is enjoyable. Even when you understand the flow, it's still fun. And the surprise when something unexpected appears. Enjoying the changes in the state of the chicken and the variations in presentation. Unexpectedly, the liver with cheese appears. The flow from there to tebasaki, Mizutaki, and tsukune is bliss. And finishing with ramen. And the indulgent order of kinkan festival. The flavors of all dishes are clear, yet not heavy or overpowering. The charm of Torira will continue to captivate.

Yakitori Tora is a yakitori restaurant located in Fukuoka Prefecture that operates on a reservation-only basis. It is known for being difficult to book a table, but fortunately, I was invited by a regular customer for my first visit. The food is delicious, but what really stands out is the chef who is incredibly entertaining! He manages to create a close relationship with customers while remaining natural and relaxed. It's not easy to achieve this, but he does it effortlessly. I have rarely had such a fun and enjoyable dining experience. In my opinion, the best yakitori restaurants to visit are Kasahara, Yakitori Tora, and Yakitori Kanda. The food was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Oh, it was absolutely delicious! I visited in July 2023 and the next reservation is not until December this year, so a 5-month wait. Opinions on the head chef seem to be divided, but I personally love his style. Everything was great, no concerns at all. We had a fun conversation and the atmosphere at the counter was like a team. Both the food and the conversation were top-notch that day!

From the 5:40 pm session to the 2:20 am long course, the pace of the meal was slower than usual due to the extended hours. The quantity remained the same, but the pace was leisurely. Each dish had a seasonal touch and was slightly modified. The start time of the meal was crucial as it influenced the overall experience, but regardless of the start time, it was enjoyable. The atmosphere was enjoyable from the beginning. The skewers were satisfying with a great variety. Despite the challenges in maintaining the condition of the chicken, the skewers were prepared with utmost care, considering factors like the cut, cooking method, and aroma. Each skewer was a small but significant part of the overall experience. On this particular day, there was a noticeable difference as some dishes used Umami chicken, which had a dense yet tender texture, and a simple, delicious flavor. Even the Tsukune skewers had a different appearance. The finale was also delicious. I thought I had been at the restaurant for a long time, but it turned out I had stayed almost twice as long as I had expected. When I entered, it was bright, and when I left, it was dark, thanks to the friendly atmosphere among the last customers. We ended the night with a group photo. It was another enjoyable evening.

I was surprised by the number of fun yakitori restaurants in Fukuoka! The taste and uniqueness of the yakitori at "Tori-ra" stood out, with the humorous and stylish owner showcasing his grilling skills. The restaurant specializes in the popular Takasaka chicken, and I was particularly impressed by the white liver dish, which was carefully aged to perfection. Each dish was meticulously prepared to bring out the best flavors of the ingredients. The grilling was also perfect, with no complaints about the food. The atmosphere was great, but the biggest charm was the service from the owner, Hirohata. At first glance, he may seem like a cheerful old man, but I felt that everything was calculated to entertain the customers. Once you visit, you'll definitely want to taste that flavor, that wine, and meet that owner again.

An airplane trip that is so much fun and exciting. If you can eat Torira's yakitori, the excitement never stops! (*´艸`) This time, I visited with a gentleman. We were treated to wine, and it was a truly delicious and enjoyable time♪ Murso and yakitori, what a happiness (*´艸`) Takasaka-san's chicken is a sterile chicken that is delicious even when eaten raw. There are no words other than delicious. Recently, it has changed from sushi to rolls, but this is also very delicious. When you eat a little rice, your appetite increases, I wonder why? Let's mix a lot of kinkan rice before eating♪ There are two types of liver. One that was soaked in salt water and a fresh one. We were treated to additional wine again, Juvre-Chambertin♡ Thank you for another favorite wine. It is a blessing to see the bottle emptying. When the chawanmushi arrives, it's time for yakitori♪ Starting with the breast meat. The grilling and saltiness are excellent! The negima is also crispy! The skin is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The chef is truly a genius. The long pepper was quietly placed, but it was incredibly delicious! I love the gizzard and the half-cooked quail egg♡ Liver pate goes well with red wine♡ I had corn for the first time in a while! It's sweet♡ I always get a full stomach around the sukiyaki, but this time I made sure my stomach was in perfect condition! I was able to eat happily until the last yakitori~♪ So happy~♪ And the last tsukune, I had it fed to me♡ laugh. I drank the soup all the way to the end of my favorite ramen! I was looking forward to it, so my expectations might have been too high. The taste is delicious, with no smoke bothering you. The owner diligently works on the grill, using a fan to start the fire multiple times, showing a serious attitude towards cooking. The service, however, is not up to par with other high-end Yakitori restaurants. The dishes are placed on the table for you to pick up and eat, but the depth of the table made it a bit inconvenient. The use of rare and high-quality Kyoto Takasaka chicken makes the taste delicious. The atmosphere is friendly, with many regular customers, which is understandable. I ended up dining next to someone I knew, so it didn't bother me. I may not return for another visit, as I didn't leave feeling completely satisfied. The dishes I tried included various items like marinated chicken breast, chicken sashimi, chicken skewers, and more. Overall, the food was delicious, with standout items like the marinated white liver, chicken skewers, and the hot pot. I also enjoyed some drinks like beer and highball during my meal. I visited a place I have been relying on after half a year! This is my fourth time visiting. The dishes have changed a bit since the price revision, and I was looking forward to it even before eating. As always, the dishes were delicious and overturned the concept of yakitori! Just by listening to the explanation of the dishes, you can tell how much effort goes into them... the preparation, grilling, and creativity are top-notch! And the ramen at the end was excellent ⭐ I couldn't drink much alcohol this time, but thank you for the feast!

It's a popular spot that's hard to reserve, attracting visitors from all over the country. I often end up chatting with the guests next to me after drinking too much wine, but I always have a lot of fun and enjoy myself too much! The skewers were perfectly cooked this time as well. Each skewer was hot and the chicken was well seasoned, all of them were delicious! Overall, the quality of the chicken at this restaurant is very high. There are also plenty of appetizers and simmered dishes, both of which are very delicious.

This day was truly amazing at Toriura Cuore. Spent 2 hours savoring the first dish, and another 2 hours enjoying the skewers in the second half. It was a day to fully indulge in the second round. It was incredible. Not just about the fun, but also the return of the white liver. And it was of extremely high quality. This chicken is outstanding in these tough times, why? Anyway, it was delicious. I was impressed. As for the skewers on this day, while the Takasaka chicken tends to get attention, other types of chicken are also cooked to perfection. And the second round on this day was just amazing, they grilled the skewers to perfection. A course to fully enjoy the skewers. After being deeply moved by the white liver in the first half, they topped it off with even more. They served everything without holding back... exquisite. The tsukune was delicious. Everything came together with this tsukune. And then the finale with ramen. Luxurious. Above all, the stamina to serve one dish or skewers deliciously for 4 hours. Just a lineup that left me completely satisfied. Happy. I love it. Fulfilled.

On this day in May 2023, I visited Torira in Hirao, Fukuoka, which is ranked 4.30 on Tabelog and is the 3rd best yakitori restaurant in Japan according to Tabelog's bronze ranking in the yakitori category. This was my second visit since the end of last year. Torira uses Takasaka chicken, which is very impressive. I usually don't eat sashimi, but I was happy to try it here. I used to only go to Fukuoka for sushi, but now I visit Torira about once every six months. The breast meat and chicken wings were particularly memorable on this day. It's nice that you can also have Mizutaki as a Fukuoka-style ending dish. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. While Fukuoka boasts numerous major restaurants, I had the opportunity to visit this particular establishment with a companion. The interior features an L-shaped counter, and the owner, Mr. Hirohata, starts off the experience with live cooking. There are no formal greetings, but as most customers are regulars, casual conversations begin with "Have you been here before?" The owner is frank and easy to talk to, surprising those who might find him intimidating at first. The meal starts with appetizers followed by a course of the owner's specialties. The dishes, such as Sasami Konbu-shime, Mune-niku Tataki with Ponzu Jelly, Harami Nigiri, and Nakaochi Nigiri, are all excellently prepared and delicious. The Chicken Stock and Egg Rice Bowl is a must-try, with its rich and lingering flavor. The White Liver and Liver Pate paired with white wine were exquisite. We enjoyed the Chicken Chawanmushi, Mizutaki, Quail Egg, Tebasaki, Hatsumoto, and Tsukune dishes, all of which were delicious. The meal ended with Chicken Ramen, a fitting conclusion to a fantastic dining experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and the Takasaka chicken yakitori was incredibly delicious. I paired it with Kenzo Estate's Asatsuyu, and the combination of tasty yakitori and delicious white wine was fantastic. Although there was only a counter, it didn't feel formal, and I enjoyed the friendly conversations with the master.

I went to "Yakitori Torira" in Hirao and enjoyed their course menu. This is a well-known restaurant where you can taste top-class yakitori in Japan. The omakase course features yakitori made with aged Takasaka chicken as the base. It's by reservation only, so it can be difficult to get a table, but if you have the chance, I highly recommend it. I would love to go back again.
