After eating eel at Kurobei Yokocho, we decided to have a light drink and stopped by. We were seated at a two-person table a little away from the counter, which happened to be available. I ordered a Salty Dog and a Campari mix cocktail, both of which were well-made and enjoyable. The turnover was good, so we didn't have to wait long, making it a convenient location for a casual drink.

Savutini, located on the same floor as Daimaru Tokyo, is a small counter-style restaurant. I visited for lunch and had a chicken cream sauce short pasta, a small salad, bread, and coffee set for around 1000 yen. As expected from Savutini, the salad vegetables were fresh and the pasta was authentic. The bread was also much tastier than regular bakeries. The service was just right, with a comfortable distance, and despite being a counter, the atmosphere was cozy. I noticed several regular customers, which made sense considering how welcoming the restaurant was.

At the end of the year, all the shops were crowded, but I was able to visit this place quickly because it only had a counter. The food is brought from the neighboring sister shop, so even though it's called a bar, the food menu was substantial. Regular customers kept coming one after another, and it seems like a shop loved by various people. I had Pomery champagne, which is cheaper on Fridays, and it was delicious! The food, overall, was a bit bland. I wished the porcini pasta had more salt and pepper. The minestrone soup also lacked tomato flavor, giving more of a vegetable soup impression. This place seems like a good spot to have a drink during a break.

I was served a ripe melon split with whiskey. I could also enjoy the melon flesh, making it a refreshing summer drink. I enjoyed it in a relaxed mood after a meal. It was very easy to drink and delicious. It can be paired with seasonal fruits, making me want to try making it at home. I also learned a lot about the types of whiskey. It was a fun conversation as well as a treat. Thank you for the meal.

I tried mixing Ehime Prefecture's mandarin oranges with my favorite alcohol - whiskey. It was delicious. After the meal, I bought some mandarin oranges from Minamitsukushi downstairs. It was a satisfying meal.

I had a Gin and Tonic mixed with mandarin oranges and kumquats. It was made with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin. They let me taste it before mixing it, and it was strong. But when mixed with citrus fruits, it became lighter and very easy to drink. I could also eat the fruits, which made me happy. I also love the dried fruits they served last time, so I ordered them again. It was a perfect moment. Thank you for the meal.

I chose strawberries to go with whiskey. Gin and tonic with kumquats and mandarins also looked delicious. Strawberries are refreshing. I also ordered a side of dried fruits - apples, figs, and raisins for 500 yen. The cocktails are a bit pricey, but overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you.

Shine Muscat, fig, persimmon, and yuzu were available. I enjoyed combining figs with brandy. It was delicious. I couldn't take a picture, which is a shame. This picture looks like this month's cocktail. Combining fruit with whiskey must also be delicious. I look forward to the next time. Thank you for the meal.

At the Tokyo Daimaru store, there is a dining bar called "B.C.T. Bar Cardinal Tokyo." It is part of the Cardinal series of pubs and restaurants, following the legacy of the first authentic London pub in Japan, the Ginza Pub Cardinal, which opened in 1966. Today, I had lunch with a friend at this bar, which offers lunch menus prepared by the chef from the adjacent sister restaurant "Sabatini." I ordered the weekly pasta special, "Seafood Basil Flavored White Wine Sauce Short Pasta," while my friend opted for the "Oyama Chicken Curry with Turmeric Rice." The salad was fresh and dressed with onion dressing, the baguette was soft and fluffy, and the pasta was delicious with a generous amount of seafood in a white wine sauce. The meal was accompanied by iced coffee, and the service provided by the female staff was excellent. However, the bar-style seating arrangement may not be suitable for those who prefer more privacy, as there are no dividers and the seating is in the middle of a walkway. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

I heard they have seasonal cocktails! I remember seeing a small notice at the counter before. In any case, I wanted to try it again!
Lunch Menu
There are only a few seats available at the counter, but you can enjoy Sabatini's dishes here.
Seasonal Cocktail: Melon Sorbet Cube
When I ordered the seasonal cocktail, I was asked what I would like it made with... which was unexpected. I looked at other people's reviews and explained. I had mine made with champagne, but you can have it made with your preferred alcohol. It was Pommery Service Day that day, so using champagne only cost ¥1300!
Pasta Lunch
The pasta dishes are brought from Sabatini. When I got home, I realized something was missing from my blog. I forgot about the bread for the pasta lunch (tears)...
*Note: I saw the bread arrive before the salad, but it seems like it was forgotten as they were trying to serve it together with the salad. If you order the pasta lunch, be careful!
Lunch Pasta (Salad, Bread, Pasta, Drink) ¥1540
Seasonal Cocktail (Pommery) ¥1300
Mixed Nuts ¥330
Total: ¥3170

I had a cocktail with fresh melon at the restaurant. They usually serve it with POMMERY champagne in a cocktail. The first glass costs 1300 yen. I had mine mixed with whiskey. It had a refreshing taste with delicious chunks of fresh melon. I also ordered the Odate chicken curry. Looking forward to trying their seasonal cocktails. Thank you for the meal.

The chicken curry served only at the counter cafe/bar adjacent to Sabatini Florence is light and delicious, with a sautéed onion base. In an era where richness is praised, it's not always necessary for curry to be rich. #Unfortunately, the photo of the curry was blurry so there isn't one.

The curry with mountain bird and the cocktail "Spring" in March. This cocktail is a visually beautiful highball that combines cherry blossoms and olives, said to be a "drinking flower viewing." The menu is a bit different, isn't it? It costs 1100 yen. And the curry costs 1500 yen, it was a regular chicken curry. Thank you for the meal.

A cafe & bar located on the restaurant floor of Daimaru. During the day, there are many customers using it as a cafe, but as time passes, it becomes more of a bar for customers. It's convenient because you can have a meal on the same floor and then use it as a second place to enjoy drinks. It's located right in the middle of the floor and has a semi-private feel, surprisingly relaxing.

There is an open space in the center of the 12th floor restaurant area at Daimaru Tokyo, with a bar counter of 8 seats and bench seating for 2. It seems to be operated by the same company, Cardinal, as the neighboring Sabbatini. B.C.T. may simply refer to BAR CARDINAL TOKYO. They offer coffee, tea, sweets, and alcohol, catering to anyone who visits this floor. It can be crowded at times, but also empty. It takes courage to be the first one there, but once others are around, it feels more inviting. After having eel at Isetei on the same floor on the day of the midsummer day of the ox, I stopped by Braumeister, where I had the Braumeister beer (860 yen). It had a unique bitterness and richness typical of Kirin beers. The staff that day were a lady and a young man, not quite professional bartenders but friendly. They were chatting with a regular customer who arrived later. The bar had a cozy, local pub-like atmosphere.

I had lunch here as I had some business at Daimaru. I have been here a few times and I highly recommend it. They serve Sabatini's cuisine here. The pasta lunch has a small portion, so it might be more suitable for women. The curry lunch had plenty of meat and was delicious! There are many regular customers here. I confirmed with my husband, and there is always an elderly person there when we visit. They always sit in the same seat, and probably order the same thing every time. I wish I could be an elderly person who can have beer and lunch at Daimaru in the afternoon... It's a great place where you can enjoy delicious food and various options for meals, cafes, and drinks.
Lunch:
- Curry (Curry, Mini Ice Cream, Drink) ¥1470
- Pasta (Salad, Bread, Pasta, Drink) ¥1512
Total for two people: ¥2982

This place mainly focuses on alcohol, as indicated by the word "bar" in its name. Many people come here for daytime drinking, and I had always wanted to try it. I have used this place for lunch and tea in the past. The last review can be found here: ★ (Used in 2015)
I finally made my alcohol debut here. There are a lot of regular customers, and since the counter is the main seating area, there are not many seats available, so it can be difficult to get a spot.
I ordered a Guinness and a mix of nuts. The Guinness had a nice foamy head, almost like a float. The mix of nuts was a large size. When I asked about the size, they showed me both containers.
My husband joined me later and also ordered a beer. We ended up ordering more. Many people just ordered one glass of wine and then quickly left.
Guinness 972 yen
Heineken 650 yen
Kirin Braumeister 860 yen
Heartland 650 yen
Mix of nuts (large) 540 yen
Total for the two of us: 3,672 yen

August 21, 2018 - Despite having a hangover, I managed to get my engine running with some delicious soba at a local restaurant. As I was leaving, I stumbled upon something interesting - "B.C.T. BAR CARDINAL TOKYO". Located on the 12th floor of the Daimaru Tokyo department store, this open and inviting bar is a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo Station. With no cover charge or service fee, you can simply enjoy a drink or two. The seasonal cocktails were a hit, and the food menu includes a variety of options, including wasabi edamame and a cheese platter. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, making it a great spot to unwind. Overall, a great experience at B.C.T. BAR CARDINAL TOKYO!

I was shopping at Daimaru and felt like having a drink. I found out there was a bar inside Daimaru, so I went straight there. The bar had a beautiful interior with a marble-like counter. I ordered a muscat cocktail, which was refreshing with a hint of sweetness. It was delicious!
