Before you know it, there are yakitori restaurants lined up on this street in Omori. There's "Taruya" with half-price yakitori on holidays, "Aburaya" specializing in yakitori, "Shintoriteru" which used to be a famous restaurant in Shinagawa and is now a members-only establishment, and in between them is "Juusan". Standing bar on the 1st floor, and table seats on the 2nd floor. 3 out of 4 tables were already occupied, but we managed to slip in. The manly highball drink is double the usual size at 700ml. The foam lemon sour is made with beer foam. The appetizer is sand liver kimchi salad, which is delicious. The raw water eggplant and avocado cream cheese are also good. We tried almost all the yakitori skewers such as wasabi chicken breast, liver with green onion salt, green onion with chicken, tail meat, tsukune, chicken tender, liver, heart, and sand liver. The skewers are slightly larger than usual, and all of them are delicious, especially the liver. Besides yakitori, we also had enoki mushroom pork belly wrap, eggplant pork belly wrap, and shiitake mushrooms with two pieces. The chicken skin with ponzu sauce is not chicken skin soaked in ponzu sauce, but rather fried chicken skin skewers with grated ponzu sauce. We forgot to order the chicken soup as the finishing touch. It was delicious, and considering how much we ate, the bill came to around 4,000 yen per person, making it a good yakitori restaurant in Omori.
