This is a French restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Fukuoka Ohori Park Boat House. It is the first store of the Royal Group (Royal Host, Shakey's, Tenya, Sizzler, etc.), founded in 1953. It is a long-established restaurant where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio visited during their honeymoon. I visited for the first time based on the recommendation of my partner's community that the food is delicious. It is easy to park at the paid parking lot in front of Ohori Park. For lunch, I ordered the Saison course for ¥12,600 (with an additional ¥2,500 for Japanese beef fillet steak). I also requested the wine pairing with 5 types of wine for ¥11,000. The menu included Champagne, Swan Shoe Sour Cream, Prosciutto Cream Cheese, Panee Poulle Ratatouille, Vichyssoise, Australian white wine, Camembert, Fermented Butter, Marinated Golden Snapper and Cherry Tomatoes, Prosciutto, Beets, Radish, Nasturtium, Scallop Saute, Crab, Lobster Bisque, Carrot Puree, Burgundy white wine, Triple Consomme Soup with Blackthroat Seabass, Frangipane of Softshell Turtle, Indica Rice, California red wine, Miyazaki Beef Fillet, Summer Truffle, Jus Sauce, Brandy chilled in the freezer, Melon Sherbet, Tuile, Fig Compote, Honey Ice Cream, and Yame Japanese Black Tea. We enjoyed the high-quality service, wine pairing, and authentic French cuisine while overlooking the scenery of Ohori Park from the restaurant's fully glassed interior. I am definitely coming back, and next time, I will try the Royal's specialty French Onion Soup for dinner. I am very satisfied, thank you for the meal.
