I wanted to visit Capricciosa after a long time. I ordered a salad with squid and tuna, and pasta with garlic and tomato sauce. The salad dressing was plentiful and the combination of tuna and squid was excellent, delicious! The pasta with garlic and tomato sauce had a strong garlic flavor and the tomato sauce was rich and delicious, I love it! I will visit again, thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. I ordered the warm vegetable bagna cauda and rice croquette. I wasn't sure about the portion size, but they were larger than I expected and I was quite satisfied. The rice croquette, which is probably their specialty, had a generous amount of cheese in ketchup rice and was very filling. I chose the porcini cream pasta, which was rich and the fresh pasta was chewy. The bagna cauda had plenty of vegetables, but they were juicy and easy to eat. Despite visiting late, the staff were very kind and provided attentive service, such as offering herbal tea and water even though it was close to closing time.

I had carbonara last time, so this time I chose peperoncino. The taste was excellent! You need a smartphone to place an order, but if you are reading this post, you probably have a smartphone, haha. Young people like me can hear a mosquito sound "that can be heard anywhere on that floor of the building", so high school and college students with good ears might want to be cautious. However, it's so delicious that it outweighs this negative point!

A long time ago, I used to go to a different store often, and it's been quite a while since it opened in Kichijoji. Finally, I visited. It was lunchtime on a weekday, and about 70% of the seats were taken. You order by scanning a QR code at the table, which was interesting. I ordered the Pizza Lunch (Margherita + orange juice) for 1350 yen and the Sicilian-style rice croquette for 820 yen. I was with a friend, and we weren't very hungry, so we decided to share. However, when the rice croquette arrived, we were surprised by how big it was, like a softball! And it was filled with plenty of gooey cheese. The cheese hardens quickly when it cools down, so it's best to eat it while it's hot. It also had a generous amount of meat sauce on top, making it very filling! The pizza also had a thick crust, so it was quite satisfying to eat. I almost wanted to take some home! I underestimated the portion size, but there was quite a lot of food. It was a delicious meal!

On Sundays, there is an 8-group wait for lunch, about a 30-minute wait. Baby strollers are allowed (to be placed outside the restaurant). Garden-style salad (half size) for 590 yen. Kids set (meat sauce, hamburger, fried potatoes) for 710 yen. Grilled chicken and mushroom cream doria for 1130 yen. Porcini mushroom and mushroom cream sauce tagliatelle for 1480 yen.

Capricciosa, Porcini Mushroom Tagliatelle, Arancini. I went on a Sunday afternoon so there was quite a long line. It had been a while since I last visited Capricciosa. The Arancini was quite large. So, the rice croquette, sauce, and cheese didn't really blend well together. Both the pasta and pizza used plenty of Porcini mushrooms, which was nice, but the flavor was too strong and felt unbalanced. The pizza crust also seemed a bit too thick. When I was a student, I thought Capricciosa was a bit pricier but had a better quality Italian food compared to Saizeriya, but now I think Saizeriya might be better.

When I first entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the high-class service. The pasta I had was delicious, almost as good as my mother's cooking. The balance between the sauce and the egg was perfect. I tried a different dish after eating with my parents, and when I wanted to go back to my mother's dish, the restaurant brought me a separate plate. It was a thoughtful gesture. The tea service after the meal was also delightful, especially after eating carbonara. If you're going on a date in Kichijoji and want to have pasta, I highly recommend this place. (I don't have a date, though.)

Originally, we thought about going to an Indian restaurant at Copis Kichijoji, but when we looked at the floor map, we found "Capricciosa." Capricciosa was really popular back when we were just starting out as working adults, so it brought back a lot of memories! So, we decided to have dinner at Capricciosa that night. Capricciosa is an Italian restaurant where you share and eat a large portion of your favorite dishes. It was my first time visiting Capricciosa in a while. The menu has become more diverse compared to the past, and they have a good selection of desserts as well. The nostalgic rice croquettes and tomato and garlic pasta are still there. It used to feel like it was mainly for groups back in the day, but now they have individual portions that are more accessible for solo diners. Tomato and garlic spaghetti (for sharing - 1,830 yen): When you come to Capricciosa, you have to try this! It's a popular pasta dish with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness from Italian tomatoes and strong garlic. It's so delicious, you can't go wrong with it. Quattro Formaggi pizza (1,290 yen): A pizza with four types of cheese. You can drizzle honey on it if you like. For drinks, they had a soft drink all-you-can-drink option, so we took advantage of that. We were planning to have the rice croquettes if we had room in our stomachs, but we were full from the pizza and pasta. It was a night where we enjoyed the nostalgic flavors after a long time.

I ordered the Tomato and Garlic Pasta with a level 1 spiciness. It was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness! I love the thick tomato sauce and lots of garlic! Thank you for the meal!

The seafood pasta was really delicious. I think Capricciosa is basically delicious no matter what.

I wish the old days were better, with dishes like Salmon Cream Linguine gone (tears), and the disappearance of the default large plates, the essence of Capricciosa is lost, and it's quite sad. Unable to resist the wave of rationalization, the menu now feels like a family restaurant... I hope they can return to the Capricciosa of the founder's era.

Shopping in Kichijoji with my child. We got hungry and my child loves pizza and pasta, so we went to Capricciosa in Copis underground. The classic tomato sauce spaghetti was reliably delicious. Since it was lunchtime, we also had a salad, and because my child has a big appetite, we ordered a Margherita pizza as well. Everything was not too fancy, but you can really appreciate the taste of the classics. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the child-friendly spacious interior. However, the interior was a bit dark. I think it would be even more comfortable if it were a little brighter.

I never get tired of eating tomato and garlic pasta, which I love so much.
