Opposite the Santoku Myoga Valley store, there are luxury car dealerships such as Lexus and Porsche. This area is known as one of the most high-class and wealthy areas in Bunkyo Ward. The products in this store have a high threshold for entry, but strangely, the cakes are inexpensive. Moreover, these cakes have a simple appearance that does not exude a high-class or rich feeling, with even a hint of a Showa era vibe with canned peaches on top of the strawberry shortcake. The average price for shortcakes is in the mid-200 yen range and mid-300 yen range before tax, reminiscent of prices from the Showa era. The taste is similar to what Hasegawa-san or Masuo-san from the Sazae-san anime might have bought back in the day. This bakery shop focuses on keeping ingredient costs low and prices affordable, providing a sense of comfort and reliability.

I love the variety set at this bakery. When you go late at night, they package up the remaining bread into a variety set and sell it at a discounted price. It includes 4 different types of bread, each for around 100 yen, so it's a great deal. The bread at this bakery is soft and delicious, and I really enjoy it.

I used it for lunch this time. I was unsure of what to get, but this time I bought salt bread. It is a shop with a system to pay at the register of Santoku Myogadani store. Purchase content Salt bread 108 yen Salt bread looks like a simple salt bread. Butter flavor and aroma were slightly on the dough with salt sprinkled on top. It is a clean store with a beautiful display in the storefront, and it is nice that it is in a showcase format. It is a bakery in Santoku Myogadani store.

During the summer vacation period, I visited Myogadani because I had registered one cafe and one bakery that I wanted to visit each. I was able to visit the cafe "Gakushita Coffee" from my wishlist, but the cost performance was not as good as expected. The bakery I had registered was "Alissara," but unfortunately, it was closed for summer vacation. I then tried to visit "Pain du Lupe Fujimori" as a backup option, but it was also closed. Finally, I visited a bakery inside the supermarket "Sanko" as my second backup option. The bakery offered a variety of bread, including a delicious croissant. I purchased a basil cheese bread and a chocolate coronet, both of which were tasty. The basil cheese bread was flavorful with basil sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mayonnaise on focaccia dough, while the chocolate coronet had a rich chocolate cream filling and crunchy chocolate topping. Both were enjoyable for breakfast the next day. The bakery seemed to be part of Sanko's in-store bakery, with a good selection of bread and a focus on quality.

Located inside the Mitoku supermarket along Kasuga Street in Myogadani, this bakery offers a wide variety of breads, including sandwich rolls on the shelves. With plenty of bread options to choose from and lots of samples available, it can be hard to decide! For lunch, I chose a curry bread and an egg donut. The curry bread had a crispy exterior and a curry-flavored bread dough, which was not too spicy but deliciously crispy. The egg donut had a simple sweetness and a crispy texture. All the breads were individually packaged, and you can ask the staff to get the ones displayed in the showcase. You can pay for your purchase at the Mitoku supermarket's counter along with your other items.

In a corner of the supermarket Santoku, there is an in-store bakery where I bought some side dishes and decided to also buy some bread. I purchased mini chocolate croissants, 3 for 96 yen (excluding tax). The mini chocolate croissants I bought were available in pre-packaged bags, but the system is generally face-to-face. I told the staff the type and amount of bread I wanted, and they put them in a bag for me. The bagged bread, along with other items in Santoku, is paid for at the register. Although the small chocolate croissants got a bit crumbled on the way home, the taste remained the same. They may not have had a special taste, but at 96 yen for 3, they were quite reasonably priced. I found them easy to eat and suitable for everyday consumption. ^^

There is a cake and bread shop in the supermarket called "Suu-san Tokuno." I had bought cream puffs, cranberry bread, and some other breads there before and felt like I had uploaded them to Tabelog (a restaurant review site), but it seems like I didn't register them. The cream puffs are piled high, resembling Gelato's cream puffs in appearance. However, they are priced at 150 yen, so it's unfair to compare the taste to Gelato's (lol). The cranberry bread is white and fluffy, like a soft French bread with cranberries scattered inside (similar to Heidi bread). The Blueberry Natural Yeast Bread is around 350 yen, with a slightly wrinkled texture and a chewy bite. It's not very sweet, so it can also be enjoyed as a meal bread. Below are notes from the past and what I ate this time:
- Camembert Cheese (172 yen + tax): A generous amount of soft cheese! Just full of cheese!
- Poppy Cream Puff (143 yen + tax): Fluffy cream puff with plenty of cream. The shell is slightly firm.

Food supermarket "Santoku" at the Myogadani store has a bread shop inside the store. They offer a variety of bread and sweets, with a self-service corner for bagged bread and a counter-style corner for buying bread. Popular items include "Petit Croissant" and "Fresh Pound Cake". My recommendation is the "Pizza Toast", with thick bread topped with ingredients and pizza sauce, it's delicious. They also have half-price items during evening sales and other special promotions that can be quite exciting.
