This is a shop located underground at Shin-Okubo Station. The staff's customer service is indifferent. Actually, they are too loud to have a conversation, haha. I waited in line for about 15 minutes before being seated. The inside of the restaurant is quite cold, so be careful if you are dressed lightly. During the DJ time, they played EDM in the first half and KPOP in the second half. I think it would be better to just play KPOP considering the location's demand. The DJ played mostly popular songs from a little while ago. Apart from the DJ time, KPOP music videos were playing on a big screen, which got me excited when my favorite idol came on. I was thinking of just having drinks at a second place, but they require one drink and one food item per person. And the food is a flat rate of 980 yen, so it felt a bit heavy, but it was delicious and I finished it all. If you're going to a second place, make sure to leave some room in your stomach. *Chamisul Pomegranate, Mango - 1078 yen each They can also be served in shot glasses. Chamisul can make you quite drunk with just one bottle, so I think it's a good deal. Other drinks are around 748 yen. *Honey Butter Potato - 1078 yen The powder on top is really tasty. The potatoes were cold, but I couldn't stop eating them. *Popcorn Dumplings - 1078 yen I highly recommend this one. The small dumplings are easy to eat and there are many of them, crispy and delicious. Most of the izakayas in the Shin-Okubo area play KPOP, so whether you want to listen to KPOP loudly or just as background music will determine if you choose this restaurant. It seems like there will be a clear divide between those who enjoy it and those who don't, but I think it's a unique presence in the Shin-Okubo area.

Recently, the Soju Hanzan restaurant has become popular on TikTok. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is dark, resembling a club. There is no age verification required, and you are seated at a table. It feels like sitting in a club. You can smoke electronic cigarettes at your table, so it might be tough for those who dislike smoke. There is a DJ time every hour, where the music switches to club music. Other than that, Korean music and videos are played on large screens with projectors. The meals range from around 980 yen to 1500 yen. It's better to come here for the atmosphere, to socialize, or meet new people rather than for Korean food. The age group is quite young, with some looking worryingly young. I went with a friend, had 3 bottles of Chamisul, and ate Yangnyeom chicken. We also played darts together. Given the very young age group, we decided not to flirt for risk management purposes (laughs). We had a great time and it cost us around 2000 yen for both of us. Highly satisfying experience! ☺️

The group was discussing where to go for their second stop, when someone familiar with Shin-Okubo mentioned that there was a club-like place nearby. They decided to check it out. Upon entering through thick doors, they found themselves in a dimly lit space covered in blue light, resembling a club atmosphere. They ordered Corona beer, Smirnoff, and some dishes like Kimbap and Yangnyeom chicken that young people would enjoy. They also tried Chamisul. The food seemed instant, but they didn't mind since it wasn't a place for dining. Later, DJ time started with loud music, and the young crowd began to sway. The Korean DJ was attractive, and the young women were taking photos with him. Everyone was drinking Chamisul from large brandy glass-like containers, which seemed to be a cultural norm. It was a day filled with a sense of culture.

The main attraction of the Shin-Okubo bar-hopping tour was the "Soju Hansan 3rd branch CLUB POCHA". I was nervous because it seemed like only young women were there based on Instagram. However, I entered without any issues. There was a sign at the entrance saying only those over 20 years old could enter. Inside, the place was brightly lit with red and blue lights, and K-pop music was playing loudly from the DJ booth. I was shown to a table with chairs, which was reassuring. The music played by the DJ lasted for about 15 minutes out of the hour, with music videos being projected on a large screen for the rest of the time. Looking at the menu, there were plenty of food and drinks available for a club. I ordered a bottle of Makgeolli, which came in a pitcher-like container, and also ordered some Yangnyeom chicken as a snack. When it arrived, I was surprised by the huge portion of chicken, which cost 2,300 yen! It seemed more like a party menu for four people. It was too much for just two people to eat, and the sweet flavor of the Yangnyeom sauce made it hard to finish. After that, I had some Chamisul and stayed for about two hours, but there wasn't much dancing going on (maybe because it was a Sunday or early in the evening). As an older woman, I was relieved. The clientele seemed to be young groups of men and women, as well as tourists. There were also some older men trying to pick up women. When I ordered drinks and food, a mysterious coin-like object was given to me, but I didn't understand the system. The bill was settled later, and electronic money was accepted.

■September 2021 Visited New Okubo after a long time. Despite being slightly overwhelmed by the usual hustle and bustle, we decided to visit a second place. It was a trendy club-style izakaya, and as we nervously opened the soundproof door, we were greeted by booming music and a spinning mirror ball, just like a club! There were VIP seats and a DJ booth as well. The DJ played every hour, and in between, KPOP idol music videos played on a huge screen, creating an irresistible environment for fans. The menu ranged from hearty dishes to light snacks, catering to both those who just want to drink lightly and those coming from their first stop. They also offer Soju tasting sets and Oolong High, along with regular menu items. It was a unique and fun experience.

On June 12, 2021 (Saturday), the 3rd branch of a popular Korean izakaya club-style restaurant in Shin-Okubo. It is conveniently located near Shin-Okubo Station. They issued tickets for entry, and there was a wait of 28 groups. I passed the time around and finally managed to get in about an hour and a half later. The interior of the restaurant is like a club itself. The DJ plays music at a loud volume to get the party going. The music selection is mainly EDM and K-POP, which would be irresistible to fans. The cover charge is reasonable at 300 yen. The food is on the pricier side, but there are many menu options for 2-3 people, so if you split the bill with 3 people, it won't be too expensive. Many people also just drank and left without eating, so even though it's called an izakaya, it might be good as a second stop. This time, I ordered Premium Malt (580 yen), Yangnyeom Takkangjong (1280 yen), and Smirnoff Original (780 yen). Considering it as a club, the price of Smirnoff seems a bit high compared to Premium Malt. But at music-related bars, drinks are usually around 800-1000 yen, so when you think about it, Premium Malt might actually be cheap. Yangnyeom Takkangjong is a chicken dish similar to Yangnyeom chicken, with a sweet and spicy sauce. It has a stimulating taste and goes well with alcohol. I think this place is more about enjoying the atmosphere and music rather than the food. Sitting on chairs in a club, having a meal at a table, this new style of izakaya is innovative and fun, and I can see why it's gaining attention. [Rating] ★★★★★★★ 7/10

24-hour club-style Korean restaurant♡ New Shin-Okubo is crowded these days, and this place is also one of the popular spots. Especially around 7-8 pm, there is a long line haha. The menu has a variety of options, but we ordered the kimchi assortment, dakbal, and stir-fried hormone. The chicken feet dakbal was quite spicy and delicious♥ The hormone was also chewy and tasty. What's even better is that Chamisul is cheaper here than at other places, which is awesome haha! The interior of the restaurant has K-pop videos playing, and the dim lighting creates a cool vibe. I definitely want to go back! Thank you for the meal!

The inside of the store has a club-like izakaya atmosphere! It's a very fun space. It feels like there would be a lot of flirting going on. The food taste is not delicious.
