The seasoning was a bit light for my taste, but it was amazing when eaten with salt. I think it's better not to eat the quail because it was overcooked, haha. The chicken heart meat was excellent! The quality of the ingredients must be really good. I feel like my grilling skills are better than the chef's... haha. They have limited edition items depending on the day, and it seems like they also serve rare cuts of meat, which is nice. I used this shop for the first time in a while. Torisho probably has two stores, the Sugamo main store and another one, but no matter what you order, it's delicious and reasonably priced. I tend to order too much. I especially recommend the chicken breast, heart, and liver. I also had plenty of draft beer and highballs. I will definitely use this shop again.

At the last stop of the Otsuka sake tour, my partner and I found a bottle of black Hoppy, which we hadn't had in a while. We had a fun and lively conversation, and ended up getting quite drunk. We enjoyed some grilled chicken skewers with wasabi, along with some generously sliced tomatoes to stay hydrated. We also had a delicious small dish at the end, although I'm not sure what it was. Located in Otsuka, the Torisho yakitori restaurant in Sugamo was our fourth stop for drinks. We just made it in time for the last order, but they still let us in. We sat at the counter and toasted with a matcha highball. We tried a variety of dishes, but the gizzard and liver were particularly delicious. A friend who joined us later recommended the Kyoho grape roll, which I tried for the first time and found to be quite tasty. We drank until the last train and then went our separate ways.

The chicken tenderloin is very delicious. It was disappointing that main skewers like tsukune were sold out. The cost performance is not very good. I would like to try visiting the Sugamo main store next time.

We visited with two people after 8:00 PM on a regular day. When we entered, the restaurant was full! We ordered 3 glasses of Hoppy White with Broccoli Mayonnaise and Negi Rolls, Okra Rolls, and Negima. The menu is the same as the main store in Sugamo, and the taste is almost the same. The restaurant is small and poorly ventilated, so the cigarette smoke is bothersome.

The lantern is delicious!! Available only on Tuesdays and Fridays (if I remember correctly). It bursts in your mouth and spreads beautifully. Definitely try it out!! Chorizo, tsukune, and green pepper rolls are must-try items.

The balance of taste, price, and service is very good! The time from ordering to receiving the food is also good. There are highly rated yakitori restaurants in Otsuka, but this place has a casual and friendly atmosphere, making it great for everyday use. ^_^

Tsukune is delicious after all.

I visited after a long time! Unfortunately, the "Nankotsu Ponzu" that my husband loved seems to have been removed from the menu. But my must-order items are tsukune (with salt!), stuffed bell peppers, chorizo, and pork belly. These four are just so delicious! In fact, I could just have these four and be satisfied. Oh, but the rice cake rolls are also delicious! As always, the beer comes in a chilled glass, which is fantastic! I will definitely be back!

I usually go to Torisho in Sugamo, but it's always crowded and it's difficult to get in without a reservation. And even if you do get in, the popular liver and chicken thigh are often sold out. This day, I really felt like eating Torisho's yakitori, so I called to make a reservation, but they couldn't tell me when a table would be available and the liver and chicken thigh were sold out... Feeling disappointed, I was told that the Otsuka branch might have available seats. I knew there was a branch in Otsuka, but since it's not a station I usually get off at and it's a bit far from the station, I never visited before. However, when I looked it up, I found out that there are two branches in Otsuka, and the one near the station seemed like a hidden gem. I called and was able to secure a table, so I decided to go. (Although the liver and chicken thigh were still sold out, sadly) First, I had a lemon sour and ordered heart, enoki mushroom rolls, and more. The lemon sour here is refreshing and really delicious. I always end up having multiple refills of it. The yakitori is delicious no matter what you order. Personally, I love the liver and enoki mushroom rolls. The shiso rolls, green pepper rolls, and tsukune are also recommended. The grilling is perfect, and even if you have doubts before eating, it turns out to be delicious as soon as you take a bite. The grilled items are mostly priced between 200 to 250 yen, but each piece is quite large, so I had a very satisfying time. The Sugamo branch is cramped with smoke and noisy with people, but here, although not spacious, there is no smoke and it's not noisy, so you can eat in a calm environment. Maybe the menu here is a bit smaller, but I might choose to come here next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The rich and delicious matcha highball was dangerously easy to drink, and the two dishes we ordered were also delicious. The friendly service made me want to come back again. Next time, I want to enjoy the food slowly at Yakitori Sakaba Otsuka. After hopping to two bars with my drinking buddies, we were heading back to the station when a friend who knew the area well suggested we have one more drink at this place near the south exit. We were about to leave, but the familiar face of my drinking buddy convinced the staff to serve us one more drink. We ordered the recommended matcha highball for 400 yen. The dishes were chosen by my friend, including the grilled peach meat for 500 yen and the keema curry with bread for 500 yen. The keema curry at this yakitori place, especially when eaten with bread, was delicious and flavorful. The owners were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. We had to leave soon to catch the last train, but I would love to come back and try more items on the menu. #yakitori #izakaya

After work, I always want my beer to be ice-cold in a frosty glass! In that regard, Torisho is perfect. Whenever I go there, the beer is always delicious. The staff are always so welcoming and provide great service. I'll say it again, the chorizo, green pepper wraps, and tsukune with salt are amazing.

I have used this restaurant several times, and the yakitori is delicious. The Sugamo main store is often full, but this one is surprisingly not crowded. The yakitori skewers are big, so even if you eat a lot, the cost performance is good and I am satisfied. The shirasu with grated daikon served as an appetizer is also good for a chopstick break.

I usually go to Tori-Akira in Sugamo. Since the one in Otsuka is slightly closer, I decided to try the Otsuka South Exit store, but it was closed until 8/31... I was disappointed and was about to leave when I saw a sign saying "Otsuka Station Front Store is open"!! What?! There are two stores in Otsuka! My excitement rose and I headed to the station front store. It was around 8 pm, the busiest time, so I was worried I might not get in... But it was open! The menu seemed to have more options at the Sugamo store, but the taste was the same! The green pepper wrap, tsukune, and chorizo were all delicious! And the lemon sour here is just perfect, not too sweet. I couldn't stop drinking it. And the minced chicken rice bowl at the end... It's seriously the best. It felt less crowded than the Sugamo store, so it might be a hidden gem! I will definitely go back again!
