フーテンのクマさん
In Imazu-no-sato, Chikushino City, there is a bathing facility called "Tenpai no Sato" with a buffet restaurant called "Hime Hotaru." This was my sixth visit, including the one in Sawara-ku. The weekday lunch costs 2400 yen with a time limit of 120 minutes. I can't help but be surprised by the significant price increase from the previous 1600 yen. The desserts used to be disappointing, but after the closure of "Sengoku," the level has noticeably improved, probably due to the pastry chef moving here. On this day, there was a Hokkaido Fair featuring dishes like Chan Chan Yaki, Miso Oden, Ishikari Nabe, Squid Rice, and Soup Curry. The variety of meat dishes, including chicken, pork, and beef, was impressive. However, the overall seasoning was bland, and I didn't feel the need to go for seconds. Despite that, there were some delicious dishes. The vegetables were fresh and beautifully arranged, the chawanmushi had a good dried shiitake flavor, and the burdock kinpira with mitsuba was interesting. The salt-based fried chicken thigh was tasty. The major downside was the 9-partition plate, which was shallow and caused the sauce to flow into neighboring sections, resulting in messy plating by most customers. I noticed some child-sized resin 3-partition lunch plates that could have helped with cleaner plating. Despite the higher price, there were still noisy and running children around. After eating to about 90% full, I saved space for desserts: Strawberry Mont Blanc, Cheesecake, and Tiramisu. The desserts looked beautiful and the strawberry Mont Blanc was delicious, the cheesecake was satisfying, but the tiramisu lacked the taste of mascarpone. In conclusion, the buffet had a wide variety of dishes, abundant meat options, and high-quality desserts, which may receive high praise. However, I don't believe that more variety is always better, especially when some dishes were repetitive and not particularly flavorful. If it were priced below 2000 yen, I would recommend it.
