The bar famous for its Moscow Mule is, of course, the place to order a Moscow Mule. It has a strong ginger flavor and is delicious. It's a unique taste that I've never had before. The atmosphere is nice, and the bartender is attentive. It's a good place to quietly enjoy a drink.

The fifth stop on my Kyushu trip was a visit to a bar that offers a more adult atmosphere compared to the street stalls. You can enjoy a Moscow Mule and a cigar, along with a variety of whiskies. The ambiance is very nice, making it a great place to relax and enjoy some leisurely adult time. (I don't usually go to bars, but it was nice to be able to have a calm and relaxed conversation.)

Located about a 3-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station, I visited this restaurant recommended by a friend who lives in Fukuoka. It was around 22:25 on a Saturday, but we were able to enter without waiting. The staff recommended their specialty, the Vodka-infused Moscow Mule. We decided to order it, and it was served in about 7 minutes. It had a strong ginger aroma and a slightly sweet taste, which was quite different from other places. This bar is unique among the many bars in Fukuoka. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

I visited a bar in Nakasu for the first time. Following the advice to order a Moscow Mule here, I did just that. It was mentioned that they make their own, and I received a Moscow Mule with plenty of large pieces of ginger soaking in it. I enjoyed the refreshing Moscow Mule in a mature atmosphere at the counter. It was a wonderful time.

Starting with the famous Moscow Mule, the strong ginger flavor gives a sense of becoming healthier. In Manhattan, dried fruits go well together, with beautiful colors. The original Insomnia was a good way to finish. The crispy coffee beans are delicious. The smoky butter aroma was surprisingly strong.

A representative authentic bar in Nakasu, known for its signature Moscow Mule and katsu sandwich made with ginger from Shimabara, Nagasaki, soaked in vodka for six months. The menu is on a tablet, featuring an extensive selection of 2500 whiskies, 100 cigars, and numerous non-alcoholic cocktails. The whiskey collection includes limited editions, rare finds, and vintage bottles, making it one of the best in Japan, not just Fukuoka. The owner, Higuchi, organizes whiskey events with bartender friends. While the Moscow Mule and whiskey are popular choices, the fruit cocktails are delicious too. Higuchi is knowledgeable and attentive, but strict. The atmosphere is quiet, with many customers enjoying their drinks in a relaxed manner. Loud customers are occasionally reminded to keep their voices down, but as long as basic etiquette is followed, there should be no issues. The Moscow Mule mugs are custom-made by Tamagawa-do in Tsubame, Niigata, with a unique curved design inside the cup.

Located right in the heart of Nakasu, this bar is part of a complex building where various snack bars are also housed. To celebrate its anniversary, the entrance is overflowing with congratulatory flowers. The interior of the bar exudes a calm and sophisticated atmosphere, with impeccable service that is very pleasant. Many classy regular customers frequent the place. Their signature drink is the Ginger Moscow Mule, made with ginger-infused vodka that is prepared once a year in bulk. The sight of rows of bottles inside the bar is impressive, and the drink itself has a gentle taste with a strong ginger kick, making it perfect for a second round of drinks at your next stop. They offer around 10 different fruit cocktails to choose from, with the Dragon Fruit Long drink standing out for its rich and meaty texture. On the anniversary day, they have a half-price whiskey promotion (some exceptions apply), making it a highly recommended spot for those who appreciate authentic bars.

I visited the restaurant at 9:00 PM on Saturday, November 13th. It was my first visit in 10 years. I used to frequent this place often after work at my previous job. The staff are very accommodating when it comes to alcohol preferences. They particularly focus on their Moscow Mule, with a large number of ginger-infused vodka bottles on display in the store. You can truly enjoy a fresh Moscow Mule here. Whether you're a Moscow Mule fan or not, I highly recommend trying it. Their off-menu item, the pork cutlet sandwich, is also recommended. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Nakasu.

This is one of the most authentic bars in Nakasu, competing for the top spot. Their specialty is the Moscow Mule. The cocktails are delicious and easy to drink, reflecting the sincere nature of the master. They also have a variety of seasonal cocktails, and today I tried the kumquat cocktail. The taste of the kumquat fruit was preserved well, and it felt pleasant in my tipsy stomach. The apprentice is from a famous restaurant in Yokohama and was working hard. It was a great place to visit and meet these two wonderful people!

Although I do not live in Fukuoka, whenever I have the chance to visit, I make sure to stop by this bar. The dimly lit interior, the well-polished counter, and Mr. Higuchi in his white suit make for a unique atmosphere. The variety of whiskies available here always surprises me every time I come. Among them, the Shogakukan series stands out with an unparalleled collection. If you come here, it might be a good idea to try a bottle you haven't tasted before. Oops, that's something regulars at bars would say, right? But this bar is so full of discoveries that it makes you want to say it.

I was first surprised by the number of bottles they had. If my memory serves me right, they have almost 2000 bottles, and I was thinking how many years it would take to try them all while enjoying my cocktail. At Higuchi-san, you can try a Moscow Mule made with homemade ginger vodka, which is very delicious. Be sure to give it a try!

Probably the most sophisticated style in Nakasu. The amount of rare bottles stored here is impressive, regardless of official bottlers. Reuniting with familiar faces in such a bar is a memory of the journey. In Yokohama, I was taken care of by a bartender at Bar Noble. Mr. Shimizu, who won first place in the MONIN cocktail competition, has been back in Fukuoka for almost two years now. After neglecting to ask about his whereabouts at Noble beforehand, I headed to Fukuoka and gathered information by visiting bars, eventually managing to reunite with him. I'm glad. Tonight, I enjoyed a cocktail made by him after a long time. A Manhattan with a different recipe from the old days. I wonder what kind of recipe he will use when he has his own bar someday. While daydreaming about that, I finished tonight's Manhattan. When I visit Fukuoka again, I want to enjoy his cocktails. By the way, this bar has an incredible stock of whiskey, and the beautifully stored bottles in the cellar are a sight to behold, like wine. It was said that they are progressing with the electronic menuization of such stock, and you can now search for bottles on an iPad. The Moscow Mule made with vodka steeped in a large amount of whole ginger is apparently a specialty. Malt lovers and Moscow Mule enthusiasts should definitely visit this bar.

Since I made my way to Nakasu, I decided to visit Higuchi-san after a long time. Even on a weekday, it's quite crowded here. When I used to live around here, I would visit quite frequently, but now besides the master, everyone else is a stranger. Time has passed. I sat at the counter and started with a Moscow Mule. The homemade ginger vodka bottle is still as sturdy as ever. It has a refreshing ginger flavor, just the right amount of sweetness, and carbonation. It's delicious. I also had some steamed eel and enjoyed their Moscow Mule. It really makes you feel like you're in Fukuoka. Then, I waited for the right moment to have some malt whiskey. When I showed the bartender a label that caught my eye on the back bar, he showed me related brands and similar types, providing various recommendations. I had a leisurely and enjoyable time savoring adult beverages.

Around 10:30 PM on April 19, 2019, the place was relatively empty with only two people. I was a bit nervous because I'm not used to this kind of place, but I gradually started to relax and feel comfortable. The bartender's presence really made me feel at ease. I tried the famous Moscow Mule and the Hyuganatsu fruit cocktail at this place, and all I can say is "delicious"! There are many ways to express it, but it was just delicious. It made me smile. I will definitely visit again when I come to Fukuoka.

A bar known for its signature Moscow Mule made with homemade ginger vodka. You can enjoy an authentic and calming atmosphere here. They also have a collection of old bottles of whiskey and brandy, which is perfect for those who enjoy them. I was in the mood for something sweet, so I ordered the citrus and strawberry cocktails. Both were incredibly delicious. Thank you.

A small, stylish bar in Nakasu for a casual birthday party gathering. The atmosphere was authentic and just what I was looking for! The specialty here is the Moscow Mule cocktail. Instead of the usual vodka with ginger ale and lime, this bar uses vodka-infused ginger! The staff showed us a large bottle filled with vodka-infused ginger at the beginning, which was a bit strange at first. But the taste was unexpectedly good! The ginger aroma was strong, but the flavor was not overpowering. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and easy to drink. Even though I'm not very knowledgeable about alcohol, I could tell that this Moscow Mule was different from others I've had at other places! I would definitely want to come back for more. Sitting at the counter, chatting with the bartender, and slowly enjoying a drink is a small dream of mine. If it's not too crowded next time, I'll definitely try sitting at the counter. Thank you for the meal.

On January 30, I met with a customer for the first time. We chatted and had drinks, and when we finished, I saw an acquaintance unexpectedly. They invited me to go to Nakasu, and since I had no plans, I agreed right away. We took a taxi and arrived at BAR Higuchi near Nakasu Kawabata Station, which is in a great location. Inside, the bar had a unique atmosphere and felt like an authentic bar. I sat at the counter and admired their homemade karin. I was surprised by the selection of single malts, including one from Caol Ila. We were served nuts, chocolate, and other snacks. I noticed they also had tonkatsu sandwiches, but I was too full to order one. I started with Maker's Mark, a drink that reminds me of the beginning of life, so I always order it. When I ordered the Caol Ila, I was amazed by the selection of vintage bottles. I look forward to trying the tonkatsu sandwich next time. Thank you for the meal.

In the bustling entertainment district of Nakasu in Hakata, there is a long-established bar called "煌". As you walk through the vibrant streets filled with various temptations, you will eventually reach the building where the bar is located. The entrance is a bit hidden. Inside, the atmosphere is calm, with a mix of regular customers, businessmen looking to unwind, and seemingly mysterious couples. The special ginger bottles mentioned in other reviewers' posts are placed all around the bar. On this day, I enjoyed a light beer, but next time I would like to try the recommended Moscow Mule.

I went on a business trip to Fukuoka and decided to go bar hopping in Nakasu Kawabata. We ended the night with a bowl of ramen before heading to a bar I had been wanting to visit, called Higuchi. We arrived after 11 pm and found a few groups of customers already seated at the counter. I ordered a Bowmore whiskey, but instead of the regular one, they served me a Bowmore I had never tried before. As shown in the picture, the ice in the glass was not round. For my second drink, they served me a Bowmore with an alcohol content of 62%, which was quite strong but delicious. I would love to visit this bar again as they have more Bowmore options to try.
