I was invited to enjoy handmade pizza and wine at MIFUKU in Heiwajima, so I went there alone and had a great time. It was my first time visiting Heiwajima, so I explored the area around the station. It was very comfortable being there alone, and it seemed welcoming to solo diners. The pizza was not the chewy type, but more crispy, and I tried a glass of house wine which was easy to drink, even though I usually can't handle alcohol. I returned home on the train feeling a bit tipsy and relaxed. The menu included a cold soup appetizer, a salad, pork rillette, baguette, jerk chicken, and a Margherita pizza. The total cost was 3,420 yen. MIFUKU is a handmade pizza restaurant located just 30 seconds from Heiwajima Station. They offer around 12 types of pizza starting from 660 yen. They welcome solo diners and are closed on Sundays. Opening hours are from 5 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. The restaurant has counter seats for 6 people on the first floor, and on the second floor, there are four tables for 4 people and one table for 2 people. #HeiwajimaGourmet #Pizza #Pizzeria #Heiwajima #Italian #MediaCoverage #Shinagawa #ShinagawaGourmet #ShinagawaDinner #SoloDining #SoloFemaleDiner #TokyoGourmet #TokyoDinner #Wine #Boat #HeiwajimaBoatRace #OmoriGourmet

While walking back from a stroll on Heiwa Island with my friend, we were talking about wanting to eat Italian food. It was our first time on Heiwa Island, so I searched for a restaurant near the station and found this place. It was around 5:00 PM, so it was not crowded and the manager welcomed us. There were many different types of pizzas to choose from, so it was hard to decide. The set menu was a great deal with a lot of food. The appetizer pate was a delight for me as a drinker, but my friend didn't like it much. The salad was delicious and had a generous portion. An elderly couple who seemed like regulars came in later and ordered a Neapolitan dish that looked delicious but wasn't on the menu. When they asked the staff, the manager made it for them. It was nostalgic and tasty. We had the house red wine, which was also very good. Coming here was a great decision.

The skewer menu is currently not available, which was disappointing since I went there for the skewers. However, the other menu items were overall good. I was personally happy that I could order a glass of red sparkling wine. It's a cozy place where you can feel comfortable even when dining alone.

The cost performance was good. Pizza, salad, drink, and one dish for about 1500 yen. The pizza seemed to be baked in a kiln, it was crispy and delicious.

The ajillo was delicious! The atmosphere of the renovated 2nd floor apartment was also nice!

The narrow yet open door led to a pub-style interior, giving off a slightly intimidating vibe. It took me several months before finally stepping inside. Initially, I thought it was an Italian restaurant, but upon closer inspection, it seemed more like a yakitori place. However, the menu was surprisingly diverse, featuring a variety of pizzas and other Italian dishes alongside the yakitori and chicken specialties. I was briefly concerned about pairing wine with yakitori, but they also offered beer and hoppy drinks, putting my mind at ease. I enjoyed a delicious combination of yakitori and Italian appetizers, like the daily assortment of 3 starters (the olives were particularly good). The quality of the yakitori, aside from the liver, was also quite good, especially considering it's not a high-end yakitori establishment. Additionally, there is a spacious second floor with large table seating, making it suitable for group gatherings.

Located right next to Heiwajima Station, this Italian-inspired dining bar that opened last year focuses on Shinshu chicken. The exterior has a warm wooden feel with a down-to-earth atmosphere typical of the local area. The first floor has 3 counter seats and 4 two-person tables. The second floor has around 20 tables, and as a solo diner, I sat in a corner on the first floor. During lunchtime, the counter becomes a salad and soup bar and is not in use. The menu offers 4 items, and I ordered the "Omelette Rice" (900 yen) which was labeled as "exquisite." Here is what I had: "Omelette Rice" - The fluffy egg was topped with demi-glace sauce and cream. It was served with green peas on top, creating a visually appealing dish. The combination of the soft egg and slightly firm chicken rice was enjoyable. However, the demi-glace sauce was overly burnt, which was disappointing. It would have been better with just ketchup. "Salad (all-you-can-eat)" - The simple salad consisted of lettuce, cucumber, and tomato. The lettuce was a bit wilted, but the cucumber and tomato were fresh. There were three types of dressings available. "Soup (all-you-can-eat)" - The soup of the day was onion and bacon. It was slightly salty but had a nice balance of sweetness from the onion and aroma from the bacon. It was a bit lukewarm, but still delicious. On a separate visit in the evening, I also had: - "Macaroni Salad" (300 yen) - "Daily Appetizer Platter (Potato Salad/Grilled Duck/Olive Marinade)" (780 yen) - "Mixed Pizza" (880 yen) - "Draft Beer" (480 yen) - "Shikwasa Sour" (380 yen x2) - "Spanish Red Wine" (usually 580 yen, but it was complimentary) In total, the bill came to 3450 yen. The lunch set with the salad and soup bar was a good value for money. The service was efficient, with a friendly and lively staff. The kitchen seemed to be run by two people during lunchtime. In the evening, the place seemed to be more crowded, especially with a younger crowd. The wide range of menu options and happy hour specials make this place more appealing at night. The sours I had in the evening were light on alcohol, making them suitable for those who prefer milder drinks. Overall, the atmosphere was laid-back and enjoyable, but there was a slight lack of attention to detail, possibly due to the small staff. Despite this, the high number of female customers indicates that this is a valuable and trendy spot in Heiwajima. Thank you for the meal!

My friend told me about a rare bar that opened on Heiwa Island, so we decided to check it out together. The interior of the restaurant had a nice woody atmosphere. Although there was a second floor, we decided to dine on the first floor. The second floor seemed to be hosting a party, as the first floor quickly filled up as well. The three staff members seemed busy. The food was relatively affordable and delicious. I was a bit disappointed that the garlic in the chicken gizzard a la plancha was not cooked. The service for drinks and food was a bit slow, which was a little disappointing. It seemed like they were catering to a large group, so it couldn't be helped.

This shop is the second branch of Mifuku located in Honmachi, where I often go. It's a recommended shop for yakitori and wine. The interior of the shop is designed like a standing bar on the first floor, with a counter that feels like a bar. There are chairs available too. The second floor has table seats. The stairs are a bit steep, so it might be scary if you're drunk. In addition to the yakitori menu of the main store, there are also pasta dishes available! My personal recommendation is the grilled liver! I always order it and have never been disappointed. There are many types of wine available, but I'm not really into wine...haha. There are some areas that I would like to see improved, such as the menu being difficult to read, but overall, it was a lively shop!

Mifuku-san is located 2 minutes to the right after exiting the ticket gate at Heiwajima Station. It is a stylish bar that suddenly appeared in an area that previously only had standing soba and gyudon shops, as well as izakayas. I visited during their service time on a weekday evening. When I first visited in early 2015, they offered glasses of wine for 100 yen from 5-7pm. They specialize in yakitori and Italian cuisine, which is a surprising combination. I still wonder if yakitori and wine really go well together. They offer a variety of Italian dishes, including pizza and pasta, as well as a good selection of appetizers. The liver pate-like dish was quite tasty, but it may have been a seasonal item. The pizza had a crispy thin crust and was a good size for enjoying with drinks. The staff, mostly young and energetic, seemed a bit rough around the edges in terms of customer service. It may not be the best place for those who value hospitality. Recently, the 100 yen service has been discontinued, so I haven't visited as often, but I might go back to take some photos since it's conveniently located near the station. Thank you for the meal!

I was interested in this restaurant on Tabelog and decided to visit. It's very close to the station, so convenient that you might pass by without noticing it! I went right after it opened so it wasn't crowded. The second-floor table seats were nice, but it smelled like cigarettes so we chose the open and airy first floor instead. (There was an air purifier on the second floor.) As the evening went on, more and more customers arrived. They offer both izakaya dishes like yakitori and potato salad, as well as stylish dishes like bagna cauda and ajillo, so you can enjoy both types of menu items! Both were delicious. They had a limited-time offer of 100 yen for a glass of wine until 8 pm! It was great to have a full glass of wine at that price. It has a casual atmosphere where women can easily drop in, even by themselves. ♥

Recently, I visited a cozy wine izakaya that opened in front of the station with a friend. The yakitori and pizza were delicious. The interior was like a European countryside house renovated from an old traditional Japanese house, with wooden decor. The yakitori starts at around 90 yen, and the alcohol is very reasonably priced for the atmosphere of the place. As for the taste, it was great! The simple Italian and Spanish-style dishes, along with the yakitori and pizza, were all delicious and had a comforting feel. And the best part? The wine is only 100 yen per glass until 8:00 pm during happy hour! The place opens at 5:00 pm, so you can drink 10 glasses of wine for only 1000 yen in 3 hours. It's a dream come true for wine lovers and heavy drinkers! Overall, it's a convenient and peaceful spot in Heiwajima, the only three-star restaurant of its kind.

I had been curious for a while, and finally decided to visit this place at the end of summer. When I entered, I wasn't sure what kind of restaurant it was - maybe an Italian place where you can drink wine, a dining bar, a Western-style izakaya, or a wine bar. But when I opened the wooden door, I saw stairs leading up to the second floor, and the first floor had a high counter table giving off a European beer-drinking place vibe! The cozy space felt very homely. We sat at high chairs on the first floor, looked at the menu, and found a variety of options like skewers, garlic shrimp, and pizza, mostly priced around 600 yen, with skewers around 100 yen each - very reasonable. There were many wines priced around 2000 yen per bottle, as well as a wide selection of shochu highballs and cocktails. The skewers were delicious, made with high-quality Shinshu chicken. I was also surprised by how tasty the pizza was - the dough is handmade daily, and we ended up ordering two pizzas while enjoying white wine. Overall, this place is perfect for casually enjoying wine and skewers in the neighborhood, suitable for hanging out with friends or even for a small date. A great find!

Recently, there have been some hidden gem restaurants popping up near the quiet stations of Keikyu line. I have visited a few in Kitashinagawa and Aomono Yokocho, but this time I heard that a wine izakaya has opened near Heiwajima, a place I only knew from boat racing. So, off I went! Just 30 seconds walk from the station gate. The station area looked a bit deserted, typical of these small Keikyu stations. Along the narrow street in front of the station, there were a few izakayas and other establishments, and among them was a wine izakaya with a wooden door that exuded a nostalgic, handmade feel. The first floor mainly had high tables for two, so the three of us opted for a table on the second floor. The dimly lit interior, which seemed to be a renovated traditional Japanese house, was very calming! They had a variety of Western-style dishes that paired well with wine, including their specialty grilled skewers made with a proud chicken called "Shingen-jo," and homemade pizza made fresh daily. The wine selection ranged from Chilean to Italian, Spanish, French, and more, with bottles available for around 2,000 yen. The wine glasses, despite the casual atmosphere of the place, were of good quality, enhancing the taste of the wine. All in all, we had a light meal with two bottles of wine, costing around 3,000 yen per person. If a place like this was near my home, I would definitely become a regular customer!
