I parked at a nearby parking lot during a Tokyo Dome event and decided to try this place that caught my eye. It was close to 3 pm, and some other shops were taking a break between 3-5 pm. There were a lot of students around due to the nearby school, but it wasn't too noisy and easy to use. The checkout is mostly self-service. I hadn't eaten at Burger King in a long time, but the fries were really delicious!

Located in Jimbocho, Tokyo. In this area of Jimbocho, many places are closed on Sundays, so it's nice to be able to easily enter a shop like this. Orders are completely self-serve. There are only 3 staff members, and it seems like they are focusing on streamlining operations. The Smokey Teriyaki set costs 550 yen. The service speed is a bit slower compared to McDonald's. I ordered the cheapest set, but the Smokey Teriyaki burger was small and thin, just okay. The taste is a bit lighter compared to McDonald's, trying to bring out the smokiness. If you're really hungry, eating two of these won't be enough. The fries are also lightly seasoned. The interior of the shop is clean, and the seating arrangement is a bit unique. There are plenty of seats for solo diners. Thank you for the meal.

I noticed a sign on the street and realized that Burger King had opened without me realizing it. I decided to stop by as I was looking to have some tea to adjust my schedule. It was a calm atmosphere during the weekend brunch hours. I ended up ordering the Smoky Teriyaki set, which was quite tasty but also a bit on the heavy side. The smoky flavor was subtle, with the teriyaki sauce being more prominent. I wish there was a bit more lettuce in the burger, but overall it was satisfying. The fries were thick and crispy, and the Coca-Cola ZERO drink was just okay. While McDonald's may be more budget-friendly for breakfast, Burger King is a nice occasional treat.

Today, on December 9th (Friday) at 10:00 AM, "Burger King" opened its doors. I went there right away and here is my "first visit review" of the store. There was no grand opening campaign. The entrance to the store was set up as a one-way system, which I thought was a good measure. The store was quite empty inside, probably because it's not yet peak hours. New stores really are great! I tried the "Classic Hot Dog" for 390 yen (tax included). Although the "2 for" campaign is running from December 2nd (Friday), this store is not participating in it as it is a new store. I received a "Coca-Cola Zero M" through a survey coupon. I won again! Maybe everyone wins today? (laughs) The "Classic Hot Dog" was my first time trying it, and I liked the texture. However, the pricing is a bit high, so I might only be able to afford it during campaigns. (laughs) (Update) On January 20, 2023, I visited the store for the second time. I went to use the survey coupon (laughs). A self-checkout machine was installed in the store this time, which was not there during my previous visit. Cashless payments are encouraged to be made through this self-checkout machine. The "Whopper Cheese Jr." and "Smoky BBQ Whopper Jr." are both priced at 440 yen, but with the "New Year! 2 for" campaign, it becomes 500 yen (tax included). Even though the self-checkout machine was efficient in handling the campaign, unfortunately, it did not accept my survey coupon (laughs). Machines are not always foolproof. It seems like aiming for the "2 for" deal is the best value for money after all.

I happened to come across a poster for the grand opening of Burger King and decided to visit the next day. I used to frequent Burger King a lot when I was younger, but in recent years, I haven't visited as they were not in my area. So, I had no idea what kind of menu they had now. The area near the register was spacious. They had self-service electronic ordering, but since the menu was not displayed at the register, it was difficult for older people like me. All the enjoyment of dining out starts with looking at the menu and deciding, so it was a bit challenging. I asked the staff for assistance with ordering with cash. The burgers were quite expensive. I had forgotten that Burger King falls into the gourmet burger category. They often target adults with their higher-priced burgers, but they also offer kids-sized affordable burgers for each type of burger, which is great. The "Whopper Cheese" costs ¥670 (tax included). "Whopper" apparently means something really big, and it certainly was big. Just being big is not enough, so I hoped it would taste good too. The flame-grilled 100% beef patty was the highlight. It was indeed delicious. The vegetable ingredients included onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. The onions were particularly tasty. The sauce did not overpower everything, and it matched well with the buttery aroma soaked into the buns, creating a harmonious and flavorful burger. The cheese was also great. It was not just about the taste, but the overflowing elements added to the experience. It was really delicious. This was a gourmet burger. It's not just about being expensive. They also have kids' burgers, so their target audience is broad. It's really tough to survive in the burger industry. But deliciousness is the most important factor. Burger King, you were delicious.
