Visited for lunch during Golden Week! Located in the Okinawa Town Suginami Izumi Akarimachi in Tokyo. I thought it would be a bit more crowded, but luckily it wasn't crowded at all! Maybe Okinawa Town is more lively with night bars. I ordered the taco rice at this restaurant that serves lunch! At first, I thought it was a bit different from regular taco rice, but as I ate it, I found that it had meat inside and was delicious ♡ The mozuku vinegar served at the beginning was a nice touch! I want to go back again!

In Okinawa Town, there is a diner with a cozy Okinawan atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of Okinawan dishes. The food, like Okinawa soba and Fu-chi-ba tempura, was decent but not exceptional. It might just be a matter of personal preference.

I was curious about the Goya Champuru lunch, so I decided to try it out. I usually don't eat lunch alone, but this cozy little restaurant made it easy for me to do so. I wasn't a fan of bitter melon, but the Goya Champuru had a subtle bitterness with spam, eggs, and tofu, making it easy to eat. The hijiki mixed rice had a gentle flavor as well. The pork in the Soki Soba soup was deliciously tender. I also noticed the purple sweet potato plum wine on the counter, so I'd like to visit again!

As you head north from Keio Line Daitabashi Station and cross the Koshu Kaido, you suddenly come across "Okinawa Town". As part of the revitalization of the Izumi Shotengai shopping street in Suginami Ward, the entire town was renovated with the concept of transforming the shopping street into an Okinawan-style area. There are shops selling Okinawan products, groceries, liquor, and Western goods, and at night, several bars light up. Walking through the maze-like alleyways, you may feel like you've been instantly transported to Okinawa. After exploring the area, we visited "Okinawa Dining Shima Noren". The friendly owner from Okinawa serves over 50 types of awamori, making you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. The dishes we tried included appetizers, Jimami Tofu, simmered pork belly, Fu Chanpuru, salted rakkyo tempura, and vegetable soba. We also enjoyed awamori such as Yutan Taru Kura (Kumesen Shuzo) and Kusu (Helios Shuzo). The cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were visiting a relative's home, and we enjoyed the leisurely flow of time. We will definitely come back!

Yes, let's go! (in the style of Mairevi-san) This time, I tried out Okinawan cuisine at DELI, feeling the Okinawan vibes♪ I ordered various dishes that I haven't tried before. Island octopus vinegar dish for 742 yen (with Cori Gusu), Ikasumi Hirayachi for 700 yen with bonito flakes and pickled ginger, two Kwaa Juushi onigiri for 500 yen, Sata Andagi for 100 yen, and Tofuyo for 500 yen. While I've had the usual Okinawan dishes quite often, there are still many dishes I don't know about. The island octopus vinegar dish marinated in vinegar with three cups vinegar was delicious with Cori Gusu! Ikasumi Hirayachi was a mystery, like a kind of pancake? The black color might be squid ink or mozuku seaweed? It was delicious with bonito flakes and pickled ginger. And Tofuyo! It had a texture like squid salted guts or cheese! It wasn't my first time trying Tofuyo, but this one was exceptionally delicious. And the mystery Juushi, which I learned about from Mairevi-san's review, was delicious when eaten with onigiri. It had scrambled eggs and spam inside, and the flavor of mixed rice was good. Lastly, Sata Andagi! It was elegant and easy to eat. Everything was to my liking and I had a great experience.

Located in Okinawa Town, Shimano-ren is a restaurant known for its solid Okinawan cuisine, particularly its renowned Okinawa soba. Although we only tried the appetizers, everything was delicious. The sea grapes and bitter melon stir-fry were especially good. The miso Rafute was a standout, with a rich flavor that paired well with strong alcohol. The restaurant offers both counter and table seating, which is a plus.

This was my second visit. Everything I ate was delicious! We went for a Sunday lunch with a large group and had a la carte. We ate and drank a lot, and even had dessert, all for around 3500 yen per person. Considering you can enjoy Okinawan ingredients in Tokyo, the cost performance is very good. The manager is very kind and I like the atmosphere of this place where you can feel Okinawa, it's very soothing. To finish, when we ordered soba, they divided it into individual servings for each person. This place has wonderful consideration. It's located at the entrance of Okinawa Town, so please give it a try! Things we ate: goat sashimi, tebichi (pig's feet) karaage, pork tamago jushi, baribari salad, curly fries, gurukun karaage, chorizo, goya champuru, Okinawa soba, Blue Seal ice cream, lots of awamori, lots of Orion beer, peach cuparchiku.

The owner, who is from Okinawa, serves delicious homemade dishes with a gentle flavor. The restaurant is non-smoking indoors (smoking allowed only at the counter at night), making it easy for families with children to visit. There is a unique Okinawan touch, and you can enjoy dishes that are typically eaten in Okinawa.
