On the weekend, I went to see the azaleas at the Enoshio Kannon Temple and had lunch at this restaurant I found near Kawabe Station. It seemed to have few people (meaning few reviews) and looked like a calm place to dine. Since I didn't know how crowded it would be, I made a reservation by phone the day before. In the morning, I explored the Enoshio Kannon Temple. I took a bus back to Kawabe Station North Exit and walked about 7-8 minutes from the South Exit Rotary. There was only one other group of customers when I arrived, and I was seated at a table. The restaurant was spacious with only 5 table seats and a relaxed atmosphere. There were no partitions, but the distance between tables was reassuring. I ordered the simmered hamburger and chicken barbecue steak. Both options came with a choice of rice or bread, along with soup, salad, side dishes, and dessert as a set. The simmered hamburger came with eggplant marinated, sautéed spinach, pumpkin salad, snow peas, potatoes, and carrots. The patty was thick and juicy, with a flavorful demi-glace sauce. The chicken barbecue steak was slightly overcooked, making the meat a bit tough. The barbecue sauce was sweet, which may be a matter of personal preference. The set also included a marinated octopus and baby leaf salad. I added coffee to enjoy with the caramel-flavored cake with chestnuts for dessert. Overall, the meal was satisfying and reasonably priced. The restaurant had a spacious and safe environment, making it a good choice for local Western-style cuisine. (Bonus: The azaleas at Enoshio Kannon Temple were stunning.)

I had been very curious about the restaurant "Cinnamon" for a while. I got a GO TO EAT meal voucher and searched online for restaurants where I could use it, and I found "Cinnamon"! I had to go there. When I arrived at the restaurant, I confirmed that the meal voucher could be used, so I sat at a table and ordered the simmered hamburger for 1,200 yen and a coffee for 300 yen. There were no other customers, so I was able to take photos inside the restaurant. I think it's run by a man, and the interior is very cute and lovely! While waiting for a few minutes, the simmered hamburger set was brought to me. Maybe because it uses specialty ingredients from Tokyo, it was visually appealing with plenty of vegetables, and the colors were beautiful and the taste of the vegetables was gentle. Everything was delicious! Especially the pumpkin had a natural sweetness and was delicious. After eating, I enjoyed the lingering taste of the delicious meal at "Cinnamon" while drinking coffee.

I had a simmered hamburger steak. The rice was a mix of 16 or 18 grains. For dessert, I had a mini chiffon cake.
