This is a high-class inari sushi shop. It's the kind of place where you wouldn't normally buy for yourself, but the upscale version of everyday items makes for a great gift or souvenir. There are various upscale versions of everyday items that have become popular, such as luxury rice balls, luxury hand soap, luxury bread, etc. It's easy to understand the difference and feel rich. This inari sushi shop sells 4 pieces for about 1500 yen, which is quite expensive for inari sushi. Reservations are recommended, but they also have a small amount available for walk-ins. I was able to buy some on the spot this time.

This is a unique inari sushi with a rich dashi flavor that pushes the boundaries. The vinegar's sharp acidity and the gentle dashi blend perfectly. It's a game-changing take on traditional inari sushi. Reservations are a must, and you need to pick it up at the store at a specified time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went to buy juicy and delicious inari sushi. I made a reservation over the phone and was able to pick it up about 15 minutes later. I had it for dinner. The slightly sweet tsuyudakuage is delicious. The inari sushi is square-shaped with plenty of fried tofu wrapped around the rice, giving it a juicy texture. However, it's a bit on the expensive side.

I first learned about this shop when I visited Hakata during the New Year in 2019! Before that, I had heard about their reservation-only inari sushi at their Nihonbashi branch, but was unable to buy it. So, this visit was my chance at redemption. However, even on my first visit, it ended up being reservation-only. I found out about this shop, Kaiki, near my accommodation. Even during the New Year in 2021 amidst the pandemic, when I visited, the shop was closed due to the owner's arm injury. Determined to try their inari sushi, I made a reservation a week in advance this time by calling ahead. I purchased two sets of four inari sushi to take with me for my flight back. The inari sushi was filled with plenty of broth, and the rice was thinly packed, almost like a rice ball. The way the inari sushi was wrapped in a single piece of fried tofu made it look elegant. Although a bit pricey, I savored each bite.

Well, I had been wanting to try this place for a while. The popular inari sushi can be reserved in advance, so I made a reservation before visiting. The phone service was very polite and left a good impression. It's a bit pricey at 1980 yen for 4 pieces, but it's a popular place so I had to try it at least once. The store closes at 3pm, which is a bit early. As for the actual inari sushi, it was beautifully shaped like a bag, with a high-quality packaging that would make a nice gift. The rice was soaked in broth, giving it a unique taste compared to regular inari sushi. The flavor was quite distinctive, with a smoky taste. It might be a love it or hate it kind of flavor.

Inari sushi specialty store, Dashii Nari Umi Ki Honten, located a 3-5 minute walk from Watanabe-dori Station. This shop specializes in inari sushi made fresh upon reservation, without any pre-made dishes. They have been selected as one of the top 5000 restaurants on Tabelog. Although they start making the sushi after receiving a phone reservation, if you call 10-15 minutes before, they will keep your order ready, making it convenient to visit. I tried their Dashii Nari set of 4 pieces. The deep-fried tofu pouches were soaked in plenty of broth, which oozed out with a sweet flavor when you bite into them. The slightly tangy rice paired perfectly with the rich broth, and the aroma of sansho pepper added a nice touch. This inari sushi not only had a sweet taste but also left a wonderful deep umami flavor in the aftertaste. It was a fantastic dish that defied the conventional concept of inari sushi. I highly recommend visiting this place to savor their exquisite sushi. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I made a reservation to match the time of my flight back from Hakata. The accommodation was conveniently located near both the station and my hotel. I was looking forward to having it for dinner at home after the trip, and the simplicity of just having "dashi inari" was wonderful. Payment is cash only. The texture of the fried tofu was fluffy, and the balance of the dashi broth and vinegared rice was exquisite. It's different from the typical sweet and savory fried tofu. It's a satisfying dish that heals the tiredness of travel. I highly recommend it as a gift for someone special. I heard they also have a branch in Nihonbashi Muromachi, so I'd like to try that one too.

Arrived at 12:00 on a weekday, no customers were present and no staff could be seen. It was hard to tell, but I proceeded to the left after entering and rang the bell. A man in his 60s to 70s appeared from the back and took my order. The interior of the shop was dimly lit, almost giving the impression that it was not open. When I asked if I could eat in, I was laughed at. I ordered 4 pieces of sweet and moist fried tofu for 1,490 yen (tax included). The fried tofu was long and thick, and the rice with vinegar had a sweet taste. This was the first time I had tasted such sweet fried tofu. However, I have some doubts about whether it is worth the price. Thank you for the meal.

I bought dashi inari with 4 pieces and hononigiri with 2 pieces as souvenirs for the Bon festival. I made a reservation by phone at 10 am on the day, as they were closing at 3 pm. I arrived at 3 pm and also bought some for myself. I enjoyed the delicious inari at night. The recipients of the souvenirs were very pleased.

The sushi for lunch was not great, so I decided to call "Dashi Inari Kaiki Honten" and they said they could prepare it for me. This restaurant only offers takeout and you need to make a reservation over the phone. The price is 1,296 yen for 4 pieces. I went back to the hotel and tried it immediately. The thick fried tofu of the "Dashi Inari" was filled with broth that spread in my mouth when I bit into it. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time. I will definitely visit again. "Dashi Inari Kaiki Honten" also has a shop in Tokyo's Coredo Muromachi, where you can dine in as well.

This was my first time trying inari sushi from a specialty store! I got a 4-piece takeout and ate it at home. It was delicious! The strong dashi aroma and the sweet thick fried tofu matched perfectly and tasted amazing! However, the price was a bit high, around 1200 yen for 4 pieces. The size of the inari sushi was not very big, more on the smaller side, so paying over 300 yen for one piece felt a bit expensive. But the taste was great! I might buy it again as a souvenir when I visit Tokyo next time!

Today was the last day of my business trip to Kyushu. I calculated the time to arrive at Hakata Station by Shinkansen and made a same-day reservation. It was a popular sushi restaurant called Inari Sushi Ippon. Since they wanted to close the restaurant at 4 pm as they had no reservations afterwards, I arrived just in time (actually 4-5 minutes late, sorry...) and they kindly welcomed me. I ordered the 4-piece set of their famous "Umi Ki Dashi Inari" for 1,296 yen including tax. They recommended consuming it on the same day, so I had it as a snack in the evening. When I opened it, I was surprised to see the elegant white rice sushi. It was soaked in a generous amount of sweet dashi, dripping with flavor. It spread in my mouth with a juicy sensation. It was a taste experience like no other. My wife and I devoured it in no time. Even though we could have easily eaten the 8-piece set, it was indeed a bit luxurious. Thank you for the delicious meal! It was quite tasty, and I think it would make a great gift for someone. *Visit Rating: 3.73

A completely reservation-only system, with no pre-made dishes, prepared with care according to the scheduled pick-up time. Despite some time passing between pick-up and eating, the texture was amazingly fluffy and juicy. The moment you take a bite, your mouth is filled with a refined and gentle dashi flavor. Bringing this as a gift would surely be appreciated.

As soon as I entered the Dashi Inari Kaiki store, the aroma of dashi overflowed. The counter was free of unnecessary items, raising my expectations. I took it home to try. The appearance is a simple and beautiful inari. When I took a bite, the flavor of dashi spread throughout, mixing with the rice perfectly. It's great for souvenirs.

I happened to have some business on Watanabe Street and decided to stop by. In the past, you couldn't buy without a reservation, but this time they said there was some stock available, so I was able to buy. I think the inari sushi here is the most delicious I've ever had, and I've been eating their seaweed dashi inari for about 10 years now. They have expanded to Tokyo and the shop has become more stylish with fox-themed bags and a trendy atmosphere. However, the crucial part - the taste - has changed. The size and price have both changed. In the beginning, the inari sushi was packed with vinegar rice and the fried part had a juicy dashi flavor, making it incredibly delicious. It used to be around 1000 yen for 5 pieces (which was a bit pricey back then), but now it's 1200 yen for 4 pieces plus tax. And each piece has become smaller. It's a bit sad. I miss the inari sushi from those days! Maybe it's because it became popular...

I visited "Dashi Inari Kaiki Honten" on this day. The shop is located just a 1-minute walk from Watanabe-dori Station on the Nanakuma Line, behind Hotel New Otani. It was mentioned that reservations are required in advance, so I informed them of the time I could visit and went to pick up the next day. However, they also mentioned that if there is availability on the same day, they can accommodate with a phone call. I ordered a pack of 4 for 1200 yen (excluding tax), and there is also an 8-piece option available. Kaiki used to be a Japanese restaurant until 2019, and their Dashi Inari served as the closing dish was highly praised. This led them to change their business format to a specialty store for Dashi Inari. In the same year, they opened a second store in Tokyo. While the main store is for takeout only, the second store has an eat-in area and is always crowded with customers, indicating its popularity. Inari sushi is a common item that can be easily purchased at convenience stores and supermarkets. Most of them have a strong flavor soaked in the fried tofu, making it difficult to taste the tofu itself. However, Kaiki's fried tofu is called "Nankanage" and originated in Nankan-cho, Kumamoto Prefecture. The production method involves grinding soaked soybeans in water to make tofu, slicing it to about 5mm thickness, compressing it to remove moisture, and double frying it. This process makes it different from regular fried tofu in various ways. They have also conducted research and improvements in collaboration with the frying artisans to match it with their Dashi Inari. Those who have tried it can understand that it is very juicy and delicious, with a rich flavor that drips as soon as you hold it. It is a refined taste that stands out among the Inari sushi I have tried so far! Although the price may seem high at 300 yen each, the taste is so satisfying that you will forget about it. They are neatly packed in a beautiful box, making them a great gift or souvenir. If you are interested, I recommend visiting their second store in Tokyo as well. Thank you for the meal. ☆3.63-7947

This is my first visit after hearing about it from a 5-star review of Mairebi-sama. The exterior of the shop has a stylish feel, and the interior is simple and elegant. It was a Saturday when I visited, and after a business trip to Hotel New Otani, I listened to a very grateful lecture for just over an hour after the vice president's greeting. After the event, I called the shop right away to reserve the "dashii nari" that I had been curious about. It turned out to be as juicy as I imagined. The dish consisted of a flavorful Nankan-age covered in a lightly seasoned broth. The rice inside was firmly packed and slightly tangy. It seems like a great gift to bring to someone. Thank you for the delicious meal.

After reading the review of "Dashi Inari Kaiki Nihonbashi Store" by Mairebi-sama, I decided that I must try it. I found out that there is also a store in Hakata, so I immediately searched on Tabelog. Oh, it turns out that Hakata is the main store. As luck would have it, I had already made a lunch reservation in Hakata, so I decided to go there. It says that reservations are required, so I called to make a reservation. I requested 4 pieces of "Dashi Inari" to pick up at 11:30. The price is 1,200 yen for 4 pieces (300 yen each) plus tax. I departed from Hiroshima amidst a heavy rain warning, but luckily the Shinkansen was running smoothly, so I felt relieved. We arrived at Hakata Station in about 1 hour. According to the route search, it's about a 22-minute walk to the store. Since the rain had stopped in Hakata and it wasn't too hot, I decided to walk to the store for some exercise. I found the store safely and told them my reservation name to pick up the Inari sushi. I was so happy that I felt like eating it right there in the store, but I had to resist because I had sushi for lunch... When I returned to Hiroshima and tried it, the soft and flavorful taste of the dashi-infused fried tofu was amazing! The gentle sweetness was elegant and delicious! At 300 yen per piece, made-to-order with no pre-made stock, I was extremely satisfied with the taste. I couldn't stop eating, and before I knew it, they were all gone, making me feel like I had been tricked (laughs). It seems that the Nara pickles were available at the Nihonbashi store, but unfortunately not at the main store. I'll have to conquer the Nihonbashi store too! I'm glad I could buy delicious Inari sushi in Hakata. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

◉Genre: Japanese cuisine, souvenir ◉Area: Watanabe-dori area, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City ◉Access: Just a short walk from Watanabe-dori Station on the subway ◉Parking: None (coin parking available nearby) ◉Credit card payment: Available ◉Number of visits: First visit ◉Number of reviews: 1st review On this day, I visited "Dashi Inari Umiki Main Store" on a whim. ◇Exterior and Interior The exterior has a high-quality Japanese taste. It may be biased, but it gives off a sushi restaurant-like vibe. The interior is a simple space. Despite its simplicity, the beautiful counter makes me feel a bit out of place as a commoner. ◇Seating There seems to be a proper space at the back of the store where you can enjoy your meal, but this time it was for takeout. ◇Menu Composition The main item for takeout this time is Dashi Inari. It is made without any pre-made ingredients, so advance reservation is required. There are two options for 4 or 8 pieces. The order placed was as follows: - Umiki Dashi Inari 4 pieces (1200 yen) → excluding tax. When I visited Fukuoka, a friend secretly made a reservation for me. Thank you very much. The reservation system made the pickup smooth. Without delay, I decided to eat it right away. The size is slightly larger than regular inari sushi, and you can tell that it has absorbed a lot of dashi. I took a luxurious bite of the large inari sushi. As expected, it barely fits in my mouth. The dashi quickly fills my mouth. Even with my mouth occupied, I manage to move my jaw and the rice appears. My initial impression was "there's not enough rice," but within seconds, my opinion changed. The rice has a clear outline and is slightly firm. In conclusion, it's similar to the shari (sushi rice) at a sushi restaurant. I was able to fully enjoy the balance of the softness of the fried coating, the clear taste, and the lingering flavor of the dashi. ◆Strong Points This souvenir has become famous nationwide! The service was polite. ◆Summary I believe it was featured in the news at some point, and it was also used as an in-flight meal on a certain flight a while back. I had been wanting to try it, and I'm glad I finally did. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation one day in advance and visited the restaurant the next evening. When I took a bite of the inari sushi, the dashi broth overflowed in my mouth. The scent of wood sorrel and the deliciousness of the dashi were great. It was a completely different kind of inari sushi. Thank you for the delicious meal.
