On July 27, 2023, at 10:46 PM, the log was moved from a duplicate thread! It has been about two weeks since the first visit to "Todeya" for a family ramen tour. The reason for this two-week gap is that the day after the first visit to "Todeya," I suddenly had pain in my right side, and after emergency testing at the hospital, gallstones were discovered!! At this point, the family ramen tour was put on hold due to a doctor's stop... Orz However, a red rash suddenly appeared from my right side to my back, and the pain in my right side spread, so I went to the hospital again and was diagnosed with "shingles"! The stabbing pain around my right side, which was not caused by gallstones, was due to the effects of "shingles" damaging the nerves and causing pain, explaining why my appetite had not been affected! After about two weeks of rest and treatment with medication, the red rash has calmed down, but the stabbing pain from within remains in part of my right side. Although gallstones have been confirmed, the gallbladder itself is functioning normally without pain, so I resumed the family ramen tour and made my first visit to "Yuugiya"! On July 20, 2023 (Thursday) around 5:30 PM, I entered for the first visit, and the spacious interior had a U-shaped counter seat and two 4-seater table seats at the back on the right side. There were two male customers in front of me, and I ordered the default ramen for 780 yen including tax at the ticket machine on the right side when I entered, and handed over the ticket with a noodle cooking time of 7 minutes to a female staff member in her 30s to 40s who seemed to be of continental descent. The kitchen was at the back of the customer seats, and I couldn't see the cooking scene, but I didn't smell the typical "bone broth smell" at all when I entered, so maybe it's central? In about 10 minutes, the bowl arrived, and the visual was almost the same as the one at "Takesuke - Omoriten" at JR Oimori Station! When I took a sip, the taste of the soup was like a creamy soup slightly different from "Ikakuya", and it became a bit heavy towards the end of the meal! The noodles, cooked for 7 minutes from an unknown noodle factory, were chewy, and the taste here was also similar to that of "Takesuke".... The eat-all-you-can rice until 8 p.m. was served at a rice bar with nori, chashu, and spinach as side dishes, and I managed to eat two bowls and finish it off! With "Bujutsuya" to the west and "Musashigaya Oimachi Store" to the east, a real family ramen shop showdown is emerging... Will they survive? That was "Yuugiya"!
