It was hard to choose from the many options available. For those undecided, they offered an omakase course where you can leave it to the chef's choice. Since I wasn't very hungry, we mainly ordered small dishes to share. We asked the staff for recommendations and ordered items with the best freshness that day. A few days ago, I made a reservation and visited this place! It was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in 2022, so I had high expectations! I ordered sesame mackerel, live squid sashimi, conger eel and vegetable tempura, salted crab ovaries, and Korean-style salad with beef tongue. The menu items were quite pricey, but all of them were incredibly delicious! The specialty salted crab ovaries had little meat and made me question if it was worth the high price, but everything else was exquisite! Especially the squid sashimi and sesame mackerel were delicious, so I would recommend those! I wanted to order the famous sea bream rice, but I would have to wait for about an hour, so I had to give up this time! I definitely want to order it when I revisit! It was so delicious! I took the 6000 yen course at a restaurant located on a one-way street off Haruyoshi Street from Kokutai Street. The dishes were all delicious, but the standout was the sea bream rice. It was cooked in a clay pot, giving it a nice aroma and crispy texture. The meat dish was a bit too fatty for me, but overall, it was a satisfying meal. The sea bream rice, especially when topped with broth, provided a light and refreshing end to the meal. I would definitely go back to this restaurant if I have the chance. Around 9:00 PM, I was looking for a place near my accommodation to have a light meal and stumbled upon this place. It was a calm atmosphere as a group had just left. I started with a toast with beer! The assorted sashimi included mackerel from Goto, squid, octopus, and cuttlefish, all fresh and satisfying. I also had some sake and charcoal-grilled white eggplant. It was a great time! Today, I had a meeting at my favorite restaurant, "Yanagimachi Ikkitodo Haruyoshi-ten." It used to be located in Kiyokawa and I used to go there every week. The sashimi platter, shrimp fry, meat, and everything else are delicious (^○^). It was great to be able to come back after a long time, and I am very satisfied! It's a perfect restaurant in my book! You can pre-order when making a reservation. For sashimi dishes, they will only contact you if they are unable to prepare certain types of fish. I dined with someone from the countryside, so we ordered mainly fresh seafood dishes. The sesame mackerel here has large pieces of fish with just the right amount of sesame sauce, creating a perfect balance. The grilled fish was also delicious, and when we hadn't touched it for a while (as we were engrossed in conversation and other dishes), the staff kindly offered to divide it into two portions. This kind of gesture is truly heartwarming. The service is impeccable, with the staff attentively gauging the pace and mood of the customers and timing the dishes perfectly. Truly a renowned restaurant with exceptional service and elegant cuisine. I always end up loving this place!

I visited this restaurant after a long time for a special dinner with important people. It's a place known for its delicious seafood from the Genkai Sea. This time, we chose the 5000 yen course with a 2000 yen all-you-can-drink option. The spacious private room and efficient service were impressive. The dishes were served in small portions, but each one was delicious. I usually prefer casual izakayas, but it was nice to enjoy elegant cuisine for a change. You could tell that each dish was carefully prepared. For 7000 yen, the satisfaction level was high with this room and these dishes. I would love to try the 10,000 yen course someday, but it might be a bit of a stretch, haha.

In Hakata, there is a genre known as high-end izakaya, some of which surpass the level of a traditional Japanese restaurant. Ikko-do is one of the renowned establishments that has produced top chefs for high-end izakayas in Fukuoka Hakata. It is one of the best places to entertain colleagues and friends who have done well. From the appetizers to the dessert, the meal was truly delightful.

I enjoyed delicious fresh seafood. Lemon sour with plum wine was delicious! Above all, the hospitality of the staff was outstanding. When I dropped my chopstick holder, they immediately brought me a new one without me saying anything, which surprised me. Then, when I spilled sauce on my clothes, they wiped it off and then brought me stain remover and a cloth, surprising me again. I think it's a wonderful restaurant! Thank you for the meal.

Tonight it is raining lightly. I heard that this is a very good izakaya. Please try it out. Luckily, there was a table available. I ate a lot of delicious food, everything was cooked perfectly! I don't usually eat dessert, but I tried the coffee-flavored panna cotta and it was really delicious! Looking forward to coming back next time!

The hors d'oeuvres of swimming crab, sesame mackerel, sashimi platter, simmered vegetables, and seafood escargot-style garlic were all delicious. I forgot a few dishes, but the seafood was fresh and paired well with the alcohol. The swimming crab and escargot were especially tasty and went well with the drinks. ✨

This year, a planned paid vacation was implemented, so I decided to visit my hometown earlier. However, many of my friends were in the same situation even after returning, so we decided to meet up in Tenjin. An old friend made a reservation at a place where I had been once about 5 years ago. They served live squid sashimi, priced by the gram rather than size. We ordered a sizeable portion for four people, costing around 6,000 yen. The translucent slices brought back a sense of nostalgia. The texture was firm and satisfying. I felt like the sweetness of the flesh could have been a bit more, but that was fulfilled by the tempura later on. I noticed a new Fukuoka specialty, squid shumai, which seemed to be everywhere. It was quite tasty, especially when dipped in the elegant broth. They also had fresh cuttlefish, which we considered ordering, but they were sold out or it was just the last order time. Since I wasn't with coworkers, I could drink without any reservations. On this day, I went back to my roots and enjoyed some shochu.

I went for a rare treat, or rather, I went a week earlier than planned, had dinner at home, then got called out on Line, rushed to join in haha. Thanks to the restaurant's consideration, everything turned out fine, but I ended up delaying the start by over 30 minutes, I apologize for that. As always, the sashimi was delicious, and the variety of dishes at this place is what keeps me coming back. I'd like to take my time to review it next time, but I feel like the variety may have decreased slightly compared to before the pandemic, or maybe it would have been better to go all out with the à la carte menu. It's a great spot for entertaining guests from Tokyo and such, so I find it very useful. Thank you for the meal.

Fukuoka. This shop was located near a river where stalls lined up in Nakasu. The stalls were too crowded and I couldn't find a place to eat, so I decided to visit this shop. The squid looked delicious and I wanted to try it. The menu had dishes with strong flavors. Even though I like strong flavors, I found them a bit too intense. The squid was the most expensive item on the menu, around 7000 yen that day. Expensive! But I decided to order it since I was there. It was fresh squid, but it didn't seem lively. When I tried it, I wasn't impressed. It wasn't that tasty as sashimi. I couldn't finish it, so I had it made into tempura. That was much better. However, I felt like I wasted my money. It was a disappointment. Hard to believe this place is considered a top restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

The best izakaya in Japan (I think) "Tanakatan" was the inspiration for this place, which is a bit more affordable than Tanakatan. This was my first visit, and I heard good things about it. We started with a bottle of sweet potato shochu, as they don't have it in a bottle. I went with a colleague, and we toasted with our drinks. For appetizers, we had sesame mackerel, wagyu beef stew, sweet potato tempura, salted crab guts, grilled fish collar, delicious rolled omelette, and stingray fin. We also ordered another round of sweet potato shochu. The total bill was 7,000 yen per person, including tax, which was quite reasonable. The food was delicious, and we're already planning our next visit.

10/29 Overall review After finishing the lunch service, I finally made it here. It took about half a year. At one point, I was going every month and the staff had gotten to know me, but on this day, the main person serving us seemed to be from Hakata Ikko-do (I didn't know). It was nice to be able to chat with the familiar staff when leaving the restaurant. This place is really good for dinner too. Because of this place, I never have trouble finding a delicious izakaya to go to. I have already ordered osechi for this year, but I want to go one more time before that. However, I once tried to go spontaneously and couldn't get in twice because it was full, which made me realize once again that it's a popular place. By the way, I came with two colleagues. The tatami seating is really nice. Beer The food is delicious in this restaurant, but they also pay attention to the drinks, and the beer mugs are ice-cold. Just before this, I was at Hotel Cabanas in the sauna (I'm a yearly member), so the beer tasted incredibly good. Potato Salad This is the first thing you should order. It's served quickly, you can nibble on it, and it's perfect while waiting for other dishes. And it's so delicious. Cauliflower Mousse This dish seems to have been upgraded at some point, although it was originally a limited-time menu. I'm glad it became a standard menu. It may look light, but it's really tasty. You can nibble on it like the potato salad. Seared Mackerel I always order this menu when I come here. The flavor of the sear is really good. Delicious. Egg Omelette This is a menu that I was really impressed with when I took my junior colleague to the Kiyokawa branch. A delicious izakaya always has delicious egg omelette. Chicken Karaage We ordered enough for the number of people. This is another must-order menu. Karaage is delicious at any of the restaurants in the group. However, I tend to go to this place and Arifuku-san. I also want to go to Kuta and Tanaka Tanaka. Pickled Vegetables Assortment I think I've never ordered this before. I learned during the lunch service that the pickles here are delicious, so you can nibble on them even without rice. Tasty. Liver Pate I went because it was incredibly delicious when I went at night. It's more like a terrine than a pate. But it's super delicious. We ran out of bread, so we ordered more. Fried Squid Dumplings This is a menu that is famous in Yobuko. When I ate it in Yobuko, I thought the fried squid dumplings were tastier than the squid sashimi, but now I think "it depends on the restaurant" haha. When discussing what's good for the last supper, I often think "it depends on the restaurant." Stingray Fin And, finally (actually, I ordered onigiri after this but there is no photo). I can't remember if I ordered this stingray fin before. It was really delicious. The more you chew, the more flavor comes out. Thank you for the meal.

I had made a reservation at this restaurant in advance. It was great that they were open until late, starting from 10pm. This time, I used a private room. The dishes I ordered were sesame mackerel, half portion of red sea urchin, island pickles, okoze sashimi, chicken tenderloin, seared mentaiko, and fried fish and meat. Overall, the taste and price seemed to be aimed at tourists. The okoze sashimi was delicious. I had it like fugu tessa, and it was refreshing and I could eat as many slices as I wanted. I already love chicken tenderloin, and the one from Kyushu tasted just as delicious as I expected. Since we arrived late at night, some items were sold out, but the menu was extensive so we could still order a variety of dishes. Thank you for the meal.

It had been a long time since I had a long weekend, so I decided to go to Fukuoka. I was looking for various shops, but couldn't find any that seemed good until a friend recommended Ichikokudo in Yanagimachi. The inside of the restaurant was quite bustling, and it was clear that this place was in the TOP5000. We were seated at a spacious table and placed our orders. There were a lot of options for seafood, meat, fried foods, and alcohol, which was nice, but also made it difficult to decide. I couldn't resist ordering the pickled shallots, as I love them. We also ordered red sea urchin, deep-fried rockfish, vegetables, and meat. The pickled shallots were really delicious. The red sea urchin, however, felt a bit overpriced. There are many places where you can get similar quality red sea urchin for a lower price. Overall, the experience was not bad, but the service was a bit lacking, which was a bit disappointing. I came to Fukuoka to watch the professional baseball All-Star game, and visited this restaurant after the game. I ordered the sashimi of fresh sea urchin and mackerel, seared with sesame and spicy cod roe, chicken nanban, grilled beef tenderloin, and skirt steak. The prices were high and the portions were small. The food was average overall, with some dishes being delicious. It's a good place to eat while sightseeing, but I don't think I would come back again on a trip.

Finally, the lunch service at this restaurant has come to an end. It's a shame because you could experience the feeling of a hot spring inn in a private room, which was really nice, but I definitely want to visit for dinner next time. In the end, I had to go with the tonkatsu for the main dish. - Appetizer Starting with the appetizer. The cauliflower mousse was amazing. I really love this. I would definitely order this again even if I go at night. The ohitashi was also delicious. - Soup A dish with seafood and vegetables, but the tomato in it was surprisingly good. The broth was rich and delicious. - Steamed Egg Custard A dish where you can feel the deliciousness of the broth that this restaurant is known for. Even though the steamed egg custard at conveyor belt sushi restaurants is delicious, there's no way this isn't tasty. - Rice Cooked in a Pot And this. It's amazing that they make it to order. And it's so delicious. - Tonkatsu Here is the main dish. The last tonkatsu. It was the best to be able to eat tonkatsu at this level of Tokyo quality. In Fukuoka, there are only a few places left where you can eat tonkatsu of this level. - Simmered Fish This alone could make you eat a lot of rice, but it's a luxury to have it as a side dish. This is the ultimate. - Dessert + Coffee Finally, it was a jelly-like dessert. Ah, it was delicious. I wish they would have a lunch event once a year. Thank you for the meal.
