I had lunch in Moji, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The restaurant is located along the national highway, a little south of Moji Station. It is on the second floor of a building with CoCo Ichibanya curry on the first floor, and the entrance and parking lot for Kyosushi are at the back of the building. I visited a popular revolving sushi restaurant in Moji, Kitakyushu, which has been ranked first nationwide on Tabelog for three consecutive years. The stylish interior has a counter and booths, giving off a fashionable vibe. Sushi plates are flowing on the lanes, but it seems like you can order using a touch panel at your seat. The plates are priced at 125 yen, 250 yen, 375 yen, and 500 yen, with the most expensive being sea urchin at 875 yen, followed by fatty tuna and seared nodoguro at 750 yen. This time, I tried horse mackerel, salmon fatty tuna, tuna, seared sea bream, shrimp, hirasu, and tsubugai. I didn't know what hirasu was, so I asked the staff, and they explained that in Kyushu and western Japan, hirasu refers to yellowtail amberjack, which is a high-quality fish similar to amberjack and yellowtail but with less quantity. It tasted similar to amberjack and yellowtail, with a refreshing taste and a good texture. The tuna, horse mackerel, and tsubugai were also of high quality for 125 yen. The customers were mainly office workers for lunch and couples or families. The variety of 125 yen plates was good, and the 250 yen options like medium fatty tuna, yellowtail fatty tuna, large shrimp, seared eel, sea urchin, and salmon roe allowed for trying different types even when dining alone. Kyosushi has several branches in Kitakyushu, and there are franchise stores in Fukuoka as well. Some branches operate until late at night, so I would like to visit for late-night sushi cravings. The cleanliness and cost performance of the restaurant make me want to come back again.
