Fukuoka Travel Gourmet Part 1 This is a sushi restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. We used it for our first lunch of the day. We had made a reservation for 11:30, so we arrived 5 minutes early and were momentarily overwhelmed by the impressive appearance of the restaurant, wondering if it really was a place offering lunch in the 1000 yen range. When the opening time arrived, we entered and found the reasonably priced lunch set we were looking for on the menu set up by the staff. Sushi Set - Regular (12 pieces) The set included sushi, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), clam soup, and salad. The lineup of sushi pieces was quite impressive. In Tokyo, when ordering sushi for lunch, you rarely see the same types of sushi repeated, but here it was like a clear-cut seven pairs in mahjong. Yellowtail, salmon, sea bream, tuna nigiri, nori-wrapped sushi, clam nigiri, shrimp, and flying fish roe were served. The fish was fresh with a nice chewy texture from moderate aging. There was no fishy smell, and we could tell it was from a reputable sushi restaurant. The clam soup was actually miso soup with about 15 clams in it, a delight for soup lovers. For around 500 yen cheaper, you could switch the clam soup for miso soup, but we highly recommend the clam soup. The chawanmushi was delicious, and the high cost performance made us wonder if the bill was really correct. We definitely want to go back and maybe even splurge a little for dinner.

This is a popular sushi restaurant located near Chikushi Exit. The interior is spacious, and this time we were seated in a private room. We ordered the 3300 yen sushi set, which was beautifully presented and got us excited. Each piece of sushi was delicious and just the right size, but I felt that the sushi tasted even better when I ate at the counter before. The private room allowed us to relax and enjoy the wonderful presentation of the sushi, but I still think that eating freshly made sushi at the counter is the best experience. Nevertheless, having the chef prepare the sushi for us in a private room at this price point (they also have even more affordable options) is great value for money. The miso soup was tasty, although it was a bit lukewarm. The staff were all very kind and considerate, even suggesting that we wait until the rain stopped before leaving. Hearing such words from the staff really leaves a good impression. The sushi is served promptly, making it a good option for a quick sushi fix. If I were to visit again, I would like to make a reservation at the counter. Overall, Sushi Takashi near Chikushi Exit is a great place to enjoy sushi.

I'm in Hakata. It's a special day near Hakata Station, so I went to a special sushi restaurant. Hakata sushi is delicious, right? The oysters from Itoshima are amazing, and the uni chawanmushi is like a treasure box. The sushi here is both delicious and reasonably priced. The omakase nigiri was also great. The counter seating is nice, but the sushi served on plates is also good. Overall, it was very delicious. They also have table seating, so you can use it for various occasions.

I ordered the Omakase Nigiri which included sea urchin, ikura, shrimp, squid, fatty tuna, blackthroat seaperch, golden eye snapper, horse mackerel, and Saga beef. The sushi was fresh, plump, and delicious. The red miso soup was slightly fishy, which was a bit disappointing.

I chose the special sushi set. The pieces looked bigger when I put them in my mouth, and they had a good chewy texture and were delicious. However, the medium fatty tuna or fatty tuna seemed to be melting and was very watery, which was a bit surprising. The other pieces were delicious, so it was a bit disappointing. But I think it might depend on personal preference. The squid was also delicious. I had squid sashimi and tempura, and they were flavorful and tasty! The coffee after the meal was a bit weak for my taste, so that might also be a personal preference. Thank you for the meal!

It's lunchtime, so the quality is decent, but getting 12 pieces of sushi with miso soup, chawanmushi, and salad for 1,540 yen is such a great deal. It's even cheaper than the slightly overpriced conveyor belt sushi place I went to at Hakata Station yesterday. It's located right near Hakata Station, so it's a great place to stop by on the way back.

I wanted to eat some fish since I came all the way to Hakata, so I searched for a sushi restaurant and visited this highly-rated place. I was debating between the regular (8 pieces) and the deluxe set, but I decided to go for the 12-piece deluxe set because I wanted to try a variety of sushi. The sushi rice had a nice vinegar flavor that I liked, but the pieces were a bit small and elegant. Since it was a deluxe set, the main toppings were salmon and white fish. I kind of regret not going for the regular set... However, considering that the set also came with salad, chawanmushi, and clam soup at this price, I am satisfied! Thank you for the meal!

First visit. A sushi restaurant located at Hakata Station Chikushi Exit. It's a fairly casual sushi restaurant, perfect for when you want a little snack. They offer courses, but you can also order a la carte. Today, I reserved a seat and ordered a la carte dishes after arriving. It was very delicious. The cost performance was good and I am satisfied.

It's been a while since I've been to Hakata and I was really excited. The squid was amazing, especially when it's still moving. The squid legs were great both grilled and tempura style. The sesame flavor was so delicious that I had to get seconds. The sea cucumber and whale meat were also delicious, and the sushi was so good that time seemed to stop. The sake for revival was Nabeshima. Ah, I'm so glad to be alive.

I visited "Sushi Ryu," located about a 3-minute walk from Hakata Station. It is selected as one of the top 100 sushi restaurants in the West in 2021. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and when you go up the stairs, you will see luxurious vases on the 1st floor, giving a sense of elegance. Despite feeling a bit out of place, I mustered up the courage to enter, and I was warmly welcomed. I visited around 1 pm on a weekday and was seated at the counter. There are also private rooms available. This time, I ordered the weekday special ★Sushi Set for 1,320 yen. While hydrating with a refreshing tea, I watched the sushi chef in front of me, and in about 5 minutes, the sushi arrived. The set included 2 pieces each of salmon, yellowtail, tuna, sea bream, natto roll, whelk, shrimp, and tobiko. Each piece was fresh without any fishy smell, and the sushi rice was firm. Personally, I'm not a big fan of salmon, but the salmon here was delicious with just the right amount of fat. The tuna had a good balance of lean meat and fat. The salad was a typical mix of lettuce, tomato, mizuna, carrot, with a light dressing. The chawanmushi contained mizuna, ginkgo nut, chicken, shiitake mushroom, and kamaboko, with a gentle and flavorful broth. The miso soup had ingredients like green onions, wakame seaweed, and nameko mushrooms, not too strong in flavor, complementing the sushi well. When leaving, the staff kindly said, "Please come back again!" and engaged in friendly conversation. It was a wonderful dining experience in terms of hospitality and value. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation by phone on the same day and went to the restaurant. The interior had a counter and a traditional Japanese-style room with sunken kotatsu tables, and I was seated in the Japanese-style room. The food was served promptly. The nori was moist, indicating it may have been prepared in advance. However, there was plenty of sushi, which was a pleasant surprise. The rice was a bit dry, but the fish was fresh and delicious. There was no unpleasant odor from the shrimp. It must be a popular place!

Today's lunch was at a reasonably priced sushi restaurant called "Sushiryu." I had high expectations after the delicious sushi I had at "Tatsumi Sushi Nagahama" the day before. I ordered the Nami set (12 pieces) with chawanmushi, clam soup, and salad for 1,870 yen. The sushi was served in a bento box at the counter, and the selection was quite ordinary. The best part was probably the clam soup. I regret not ordering the omakase or tokujyo set. If you want to enjoy the top-quality sushi at this restaurant, it's probably better not to choose the Nami set. Overall, I would rate it 3.2 out of 5, as my choice may have been poor, but the Nami set lacked a sense of specialness.

Located just outside the Chikushi exit of Hakata Station, this restaurant is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. With a solid reputation and a welcoming atmosphere, stepping inside feels like entering a calm oasis. Heading upstairs to the dining area, I was seated at the counter as I was dining alone. The lunch menu was extensive, offering over 20 different options. While I could have focused solely on the fish dishes, I decided to try the Sushi Set Meal (Deluxe 12 pieces). It came with a salad, miso soup, and chawanmushi. The sushi mainly featured white fish, including local Fukuoka varieties that were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The cost performance was satisfactory, and I left feeling fully satisfied. I look forward to returning for a nighttime dining experience at the counter.

Located a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station Chikushi Exit, I stopped by for sushi before heading to Fukuoka Airport. I arrived right after the opening at 11:30 on a weekday, and the place was filled with customers who had made reservations. I ordered the premium 8-piece set for 3,300 yen, and for that price, it was definitely worth it! 🍣

Visit date and time: May 9, 2022, 11:40. After a business trip to Hakata, I visited the sushi restaurant "Sushiryu" with two friends as our second stop. It is located about a 3-minute walk east of Hakata Station, with the entrance having stairs leading up to the second floor. We ordered the "Tokuyou Sushi Set." The menu was reasonably priced and the composition was solid. - Food/Taste: 3.4 The "Tokuyou Sushi Set" came with chawanmushi, salad, and miso soup. The presentation was neat and orderly. Although it was advertised as 12 pieces of sushi, we received 11 pieces and 2 rolls instead. There were a total of 9 types of toppings, with 2 pieces each for 4 types. The rice was slightly sticky with distinct grains. While the rice crumbled a bit twice while eating, the taste remained consistent. The toppings were a bit light, but all were soft and easy to eat. - Service: 3.3 The staff were kind and provided attentive service, reminiscent of a traditional Japanese restaurant. They served the dishes while kneeling due to the tatami seating. - Atmosphere: 3.5 The restaurant had various Japanese-style spaces, including private and semi-private tatami rooms. We were seated in a private tatami room with a sunken kotatsu table, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal. There were few customers before and after us, but it didn't seem too crowded. - Cost Performance: 3.0 The "Tokuyou Sushi Set" was priced at 1,320 yen. Compared to the lunch areas I frequent, it seemed like a typical tourist area pricing. There were lunch options priced over 8,000 yen as well. - Drinks: Data not available. Overall, this environment and cuisine genre seem suitable for a business meal or dining with friends.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on my way back from Fukuoka trip. I ordered the chef's choice sushi set of 10 pieces. I was surprised by the very luxurious assortment. The taste was also great, especially the squid and throat fish had a thick cut of fish which was satisfying to eat. It was delicious.

I visited for lunch, but it seems that there is no lunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays. I ordered the 8-piece nigiri set. I also had miso soup. The sushi, like Kazari-zushi from Kyushu, was delicious, with a taste reminiscent of Nagasaki. Sushi is always delicious. The lunch service is not at the counter, but they accommodated my request. When you want sushi, you want to eat it right away. It was delicious!

At Hakata Station, the weekday lunch at the famous sushi restaurant was impressive. Arriving 10 minutes before opening, there were already four people waiting. Once inside and seated at the counter, I ordered the sushi set meal. The sea bream and red tuna were carefully prepared and delicious! It's no surprise this place was selected as one of the top 100 sushi restaurants. Although it was only 8 pieces, I left feeling satisfied. Even for a lunch, it was truly fulfilling. I would love to visit again for a leisurely dinner next time.

A reasonable sushi lunch near Hakata Station. There is a spacious entrance and private rooms where you can relax, but I opted for the lightest option, the regular sushi set (8 pieces). The sushi, chawanmushi, miso soup, and salad served at the counter in front of me were satisfying and reasonably priced at ¥1100.
