I visited a restaurant for lunch with my colleagues on a regular weekday. It was the last day of our company's walking event, so we walked from the office to the restaurant on our way. The restaurant had caught my eye before. We arrived around 12:30, and there were about 4 people in line, but the turnover seemed fast, so we decided to wait. While waiting, we decided on our order, and as soon as we entered the small restaurant with about 9 seats, we placed our order at the counter. I ordered the teppanyaki set, and my colleague ordered the ginger pork set. The restaurant was small, and the distance between the counter and the chef and waitress was very close, which was perfect in terms of the atmosphere for satisfying the stomachs of Kyushu University students. However, since the main focus was on teppanyaki dishes, which sometimes had a lot of spices, the smoke made us cough (laughs). After about 10 minutes of waiting, the teppanyaki dishes were served. The teppanyaki plate was ultra hot! The oil was splattering onto our bags through the counter (laughs). There was spicy miso on top, so the smoke made us cough right on the edge. Then, a mountain of rice was served...hmm, it looked like a small portion compared to what I had imagined? More importantly, I was really hungry, so I immediately mixed the cabbage and meat with the rice. However, when a piece of cabbage fell on top of the rice, I picked it up with my left thumb at the base of the nail, and the heat of the oil-soaked cabbage was no joke >.< I endured the pain, and quickly stuffed the cabbage and meat into my mouth with chopsticks, avoiding a burn from the hot cabbage on my thumb. At that moment, I noticed that the rice was tightly packed in the bowl (laughs). It seemed like a small portion, but the density was no joke (^^; After regaining my composure, I enjoyed the meal while sweating and dipping it in the spicy miso. Even after finishing the last piece of cabbage, it was still hot. The hot teppanyaki had a nice crunchy texture of cabbage, perfectly fried with oil, absorbing the juiciness of the meat, and it was really delicious. Above all, the taste, portion size, and the fact that it was affordable made me understand why it satisfied the stomachs of Kyushu University students. A truly delicious set meal! I was able to get enough carbohydrates as well. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.
