"Kurosaki Tanoshi-an Nichinoya" is an eel restaurant run by the brother of the owner of the Kokura main store. Reservations are not available in August. I visited alone around 6:30 pm on a weekday. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and elegant. The customers were a mix of locals and tourists. The menu offers classic dishes like grilled eel over rice, eel bowl, and steamed eel, as well as side dishes like grilled eel liver, eel liver sashimi, and fried eel bones. The prices were slightly more reasonable compared to the main store. I ordered the following dishes: - Grilled Eel (3 slices) for 1,900 yen - Eel Rice Bowl (8 slices) for 4,800 yen - Fried Eel Bones for 450 yen The eel rice bowl had a deliciously crispy and fragrant surface, with a tender texture that was incredibly satisfying. The grilled eel had a lighter color compared to the main store, but still looked appetizing. I recommend enjoying it with a beer and a dab of wasabi for a refreshing taste. The service from the staff was polite and welcoming. I also noticed the steamed eel dish being enjoyed by the customer next to me, so I would love to revisit and try it sometime."

When you hear about eel, you might think of dishes like donburi or unaju, served with rice. However, this time the focus is on drinking sake. The kabayaki eel has delicious skin and the sweet sauce is to my liking. The shirayaki eel is sprinkled with sansho pepper, giving it a fragrant aroma that lifts your spirits. The volume of the unagi roll is satisfying and fills your stomach. There is plenty of eel inside. The eel liver skewers are popular, but unfortunately they were sold out when I tried to order more. Eel and sake are the perfect combination.

Arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 on Sunday. It seems that you can receive a service voucher when settling the bill at the parking lot next door and the parking lot across the street. The parking lot is filled with the savory scent of grilling eel, which naturally gets you excited for the meal. There were already customers waiting, and it was clear why this place is so popular. We had to wait for about 3 groups before being seated at a table around 12:30. The dim lighting and beautiful scenery added to the special atmosphere. Everyone here is seeking a feast, and that was evident. I ordered the steamed eel in a steamer, while my husband ordered the eel rice bowl. The steamed eel comes with rice soaked in sauce, and you have to decide on a regular or large portion as refills are not allowed. We opted for the regular portion. The eel rice bowl and steamed eel were served in about 10 minutes. The steamed eel was delightfully hot, and the rice had a fantastic chewy texture. When mixed with the crispy and juicy eel, it was pure bliss. The steamed eel priced at 2,400 yen was another pleasant surprise. It's a reasonable choice for when you want to enjoy something delicious without overeating. While the eel portion isn't large, the quality of the dish is top-notch, and each piece goes perfectly with a bowl of rice. My husband finished the 8 pieces of eel and rice in no time. The side dish of eel liver was subtly seasoned with a hint of salt, and the firm texture of the liver added a nice touch. The sweet and tangy pickled radish was a refreshing palate cleanser. This is a luxurious lunch worth waiting for. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the ambiance. Thank you for the feast!

I visited the countryside restaurant Nichinichiya in Kurosaki, Kitakyushu City for the first time. You can check in using the tablet at the counter before the store opens. I was the 8th in line and was able to enter on the first round. The grilled white eel was decent. The grilled eel was excellent! The skin was crispy and the flesh was fluffy, making it the most delicious grilled eel. The grilled eel liver was also delicious without any strong taste. The grilled eel rice bowl and steamed eel in a bamboo steamer were both served with pine needles. There is less eel in the pine needle dish at this restaurant. The rice was delicious, so the pine needle dish was enough for me. If you're only having a meal without alcohol, I recommend the grilled eel set meal! You can enjoy the crispy eel skin until the end. It's a taste that you can't experience in Tokyo. I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

This is my first time coming at night. I usually eat the grilled eel here at this rural inn because the taste of charcoal grilling is very good. But today, I decided to try the steamed eel. At night, I ended up ordering various dishes before the steamed eel arrived... By the time it came, my stomach was already almost full, but the grilled white eel was delicious as well. The alcohol goes down smoothly.

I came to Kurosaki with an empty stomach, and when I asked to decide on tonight's menu, they suddenly said they wanted to eat eel. Even though I had just been to Takebayashi, I agreed because I also like eel, and tonight we intruded on Kurosaki Inaka-an Nichinichiya. The menu was eel steamed in a seiro, the only option, priced at 3400 yen for the middle-ranking bamboo course. It was a holiday, so there were many customers and we had to wait a bit, but after about 30 minutes, the long-awaited eel from Inaka-an arrived! First, I had the liver soup, which was delicious although I couldn't find the liver. The eel itself was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very tasty. However, the rice soaked in sauce seemed lacking in flavor. Normally, I could eat rice without eel, but this time it felt a bit bland. Hmm, something seems off. It's a very popular restaurant, and I remember being delighted when I visited before. My excitement wasn't the same this time. Maybe my taste buds have become more discerning, or maybe I'm not feeling well? I feel a bit puzzled. Overall, this time the evaluation is just okay. I will visit again someday. Thank you for the meal. It was a recent splurge on a thousand yen char siu.

As a reward for Father's Day, I went to an eel restaurant. I have visited this place several times, and it is always delicious. I had the grilled eel set meal and steamed eel in a bamboo steamer. The plump eel had a refined seasoning that was neither too strong nor too light, and it went well with the white rice. You can have unlimited refills of rice. The staff, all women, were friendly and pleasant. If you park at a designated parking lot nearby, you can get a discount coupon. Most of the customers were elderly.

Inakuan and Ogura are places I often visit, but this is my first time here. Just like the Ogura branch, they are open throughout the day even after the lunch rush, which is very convenient! We chose a table with only one group of customers before us, in a raised tatami seating area. Later, only one more customer came in to replace them. They offer a variety of dishes like grilled eel, eel bowl, eel on rice, etc. The price varies depending on the number of eel slices you choose. Due to the current situation, they had difficulty serving eel liver, so they offered sesame tofu instead. However, the tofu was delicious with a nice texture. The grilled eel was excellent, especially with salt, wasabi, soy sauce, and grated radish. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. Salt was the best seasoning, but wasabi and soy sauce were also good. The grated radish was a bit overpowering, making it taste like blowfish sashimi. The fresh sansho pepper and wood sorrel were soft and fragrant, which was great! I wish they had these for other grilled dishes too! As for the eel bowl, I prefer to have the sauce on the side, and it comes with an extra sauce for dipping. The crispy skin and the sauce's moderate sweetness were perfect together. The eel at Inakuan is truly delicious! Thank you for the meal! The waitstaff were all young female students. Their customer service is consistently good, but there are some who stand out with exceptional qualities. It's interesting to see the potential in individuals.

I went around lunchtime and thought I might have to wait a bit, but luckily I was seated right away. The restaurant was full of customers. I debated between the eel set meal and the eel rice bowl, but ended up ordering the eel rice bowl. It was really delicious! The eel was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, making it incredibly tasty. The eel was so delicious that I almost wished I had ordered just the eel on its own. Personally, I think eel this delicious is best enjoyed without rice. But overall, I was very satisfied!

I use it for lunch. It's a famous eel restaurant in Kitakyushu, called Kurosaki. The restaurant has a sophisticated atmosphere typical of an eel restaurant. The taste is excellent, so I visit regularly. The main seating is tables, with a few tatami rooms. It's versatile and can be used for couples, families, business meetings, or lunch with friends. It's a bit pricey, but if you want to eat delicious eel, this is the place to go. Also, they offer free extra rice, so if you're hungry, definitely go for it.

I traveled from Kokura to Hakata and made a stop in Kurosaki. I had the grilled eel (bamboo) for 4,500 yen. The skin was crispy, the meat was fluffy and tender. The rice was excellent. I ordered the large size and it was the right choice. I'm glad I made a stop on the way. This is delicious.

I received a grilled eel course for 6200 yen. Instead of broiled eel, spicy cod roe, and grilled liver, I had grilled white eel, eel sushi, eel rice, pickles, and dessert. The cost performance was excellent. The grilled eel had crispy skin and a juicy, delicious taste that spread throughout my mouth, making me feel incredibly happy. This restaurant is a representative eel shop in Kitakyushu.

- Eel Course: 6,600 yen Before meal sake (cold sake or yuzu sake), mentaiko (spicy cod roe), pickles, grilled eel liver, eel sushi, eel rice bowl (4 pieces), homemade ice cream - Whenever I eat the eel here, I always want to come back, it's the best eel restaurant - This time, I enjoyed the luxurious eel course with various dishes in small portions at a reasonable price - I especially love the homemade mentaiko with plenty of yuzu flavor and the grilled eel liver with a rich sauce - The eel itself is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the rice is so good that you have to get seconds - The homemade ice cream at the end is matcha and milk with seasonal fruit (this time, large strawberries) - I love Kurosaki's Inakaan more than anything in Ogura

This is a review for the restaurant called Inakaan Nichiya near Kurosaki Station. I ordered the White Grilled Eel Set Meal for 3650 yen. It comes with three different sauces - salt, maple radish, and soy sauce - which are all recommended. The set meal includes 6 pieces of eel and unlimited rice refills. The pickles and soup are also very delicious and highly recommended. If you happen to be nearby, please make sure to stop by!

The taste is excellent. While eating eel, this place, Inakaan, is a must-visit. I had seiro-mushi and shirayaki. The seiro-mushi had hot rice that paired well with the eel. The shirayaki allowed me to taste the true flavor of the eel.

On Saturday evening at 6:00 PM, I was lucky to enter without waiting. I ordered the recommended menu items: grilled eel set meal, uzaku, and grilled liver. The grilled eel set meal was excellent, and the uzaku and grilled liver were also delicious, but I thought the prices were a bit high. The taste was really satisfying! The atmosphere was also nice! If I had to say something, the beer options were bottled beer (dry and YEBISU), and it would have been great if they had draft beer... I thought while thinking that I would like to go there again as a reward.

When I went to Kitakyushu, my grandparents took me to a restaurant near Kokura Station. The atmosphere inside was elegant and I felt excited. They had dishes like grilled eel, eel over rice, eel bowl, and grilled eel, but I decided to try steamed eel for the first time. I ordered a small portion with three pieces. The eel was delicious, and it went perfectly with the sticky rice and egg. It was served in a wooden box, which added to the great aroma. The next day, I had a chance to try their eel over rice as takeout, and it was also refreshing and tasty. After this experience, I became a fan of eel, so I planned to order eel skewers next time I visit Kokura. My grandparents and relatives also mentioned another restaurant in Kokura called Taneya Honten, where they used to serve eel with the head on decades ago. Although the two restaurants have different ownership, with slightly different menus and prices, some people prefer one over the other.

I went to the rural inn in Kokura last time, so this time I went to Kurosaki Nocchiyan. I ordered the same set meal as last time with additional eel liver. The eel was cooked in a western style, not the usual soft texture but crispy instead. Personally, I prefer the western style, and I liked Kurosaki better than Kokura because of its unique charm.

I received a bamboo-steamed eel dish called "seiro mushi." It is a local dish from the Yanagawa area in Fukuoka Prefecture. I compared it with eel over rice, and found that the seiro mushi had a sauce that soaked into the rice, along with a fluffy texture of the eel, making it delicious. The eel over rice had a crispy grilled texture.

Eel rice set meal (plum) for 4,880 yen, ranked 2nd in the eel department in Fukuoka Prefecture, with a rating of 3.75 stars (as of the second week of February 2022). The first eel I ate when I accidentally found myself in Kitakyushu was at Taneya in Kokura. Although my preferences were different, I had been neglecting this shop in Kokura because of that, but it seems like I made a big mistake! The danmaku (bullet curtain) here is thin, what are they doing?! I had a nightmare of being scolded, so to prevent further escalation of my neglectful behavior, I flew straight to Kurosaki. I parked my car at the affiliated parking lot and was the first customer when they opened. Sitting at the seat at the back of the shop as instructed, I ordered the eel rice set meal. It was served in about 15 minutes. Long story short, the eel rice here is quite different from what I had at the main store in Kokura, and it's delicious. The eel is thick and has a moderate tenderness, although it lacks some elasticity. I imagine that if it was cooked a bit more, the crispy texture of the skin and the fragrance would increase, but this is within the margin of error. The standout point today was the rice. It's incredibly delicious! The quality of the rice is excellent, and it's cooked just right, with the perfect moisture content that matches my preference. Of course, I opted for the extra-large serving. As I was leaving, the restaurant was full despite it being a rainy weekday. I was surprised that the entrance door of the restaurant is manual, but I guess it's part of their unique style. They accept PayPay. If you park at the affiliated parking lot (TSK 3rd parking lot) and show your ticket at the register, you can get a 100 yen discount.

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Kurosaki Station, Kurosaki Inaka-an Nichinoya is a popular eel restaurant in Kurosaki. It opens at 11 am and gets quite crowded by around 12 pm, making it one of the busiest eel restaurants in Kurosaki. It has been selected as one of the top eel restaurants in 2018, 2019, and 2022. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and offers both table and tatami seating options. I tried the Hitsumabushi (eel on rice) and the steamed eel in a bamboo steamer. The prices range from 2,000 to 3,000 yen, making it a reasonably priced place to enjoy delicious eel. The perfectly grilled eel, sweet and savory sauce, fluffy rice, and fragrant sansho pepper made for an amazing combination. They also offer unique dishes like steamed eel and eel ochazuke, which you don't often see in other regions. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and trying out their other menu items as well. Thank you for the delicious meal!
