December 2012 revisit. I visited after a long time. I was guided to a seat with a nice view at the tip, so it feels open and nice. The dim sum lunch seems to be popular, but I liked the ingredients, so I had the "Gokubi Course" (tax included 5,060 yen). - Seasonal appetizer assortment: Scallop with green onion sauce (delicious), jellyfish (good quality with a slightly spicy seasoning), shrimp (with spicy mayonnaise), green beans. - Stir-fried seasonal vegetables and prawns: Large prawns with a Chinese-style salty taste, which I like. - Scallops and squid with black beans: The moderate spiciness of the black beans is delicious. The squid is tender. - Shark fin soup with king crab: Often, the amount of shark fin in the soup is small, but here it was plentiful. The soup was rich and to my liking. - Beef with oyster sauce: A classic Chinese dish. The beef is tender and delicious. - Monkfish liver in mapo tofu style: It was my first time trying monkfish liver in mapo tofu style. The spiciness is mild and goes well with the liver. Each person had 3 pieces of liver, so it was satisfying. - Egg fried rice: Delicious fried rice. I had it with the monkfish liver in mapo tofu style. - Almond tofu: The almond flavor is subtle. It is served with syrup for sweetness. The portion sizes for each dish in the lunch course are satisfying. It's Sichuan cuisine, but it's not as spicy as the authentic one. Personally, I think the "mapo tofu" could be a bit spicier. I often struggle to find Chinese restaurants in Fukuoka that suit my taste, but the dishes on this day were all delicious. The service has also improved from before. The first meal of the year was at JAL Seawind Hotel's "Bo-Miro". This is a formal Chinese restaurant and a casual dim sum and noodle restaurant. I was guided to a spacious private room. - Tsingtao Beer: 900 yen - Assorted appetizers: 4200 yen. I thought it was meat, but it was fish - flying fish. It was delicious with a well-marinated flavor. The shrimp seemed to be steamed with Shaoxing wine, and the chili sauce was tasty. - Whole shark fin stew: 7500 yen. I love shark fin! The flavor was just right, not too strong or weak. I wonder if my skin will be smooth tomorrow...hehe. - Shrimp mayonnaise: 3500 yen. This was okay. - Beef and garlic sprouts stir-fry: 3000 yen - Crab fried rice: 2000 yen. The fried rice had a strong flavor, which I liked. Fukuoka's fried rice is often bland, so I was happy. - Almond tofu: 500 yen. This was not great. - Coconut milk: 900 yen. This was delicious.

I had made a reservation for the Yang Guifei course for lunch at this restaurant, and they guided me to a very lovely seat with a view of the sea! It was decorated with beautiful flowers. The appetizers were octopus and daikon mochi. The daikon mochi was the best I've ever had. The soup portion was quite large! By this point, I was already starting to feel full! Since it was hot, I thought a cold soup would be better in the summer. The shrimp and mango combination was unexpectedly delicious! The texture of the shrimp was perfect! For dessert, they served a cute dish similar to a dim sum afternoon tea! There were 3 types of dim sum, especially the shumai was delicious! There were 6 types of desserts, both light and rich, and they were all very tasty! I particularly liked the sesame dumplings and mango pudding. We had made a reservation to celebrate someone's birthday, and during dessert, they brought out a plate with an anman pastry! It was so cute and we were so happy to receive two of them! A foreign staff member was very kind and congratulated us, took photos with us, and made the experience very special! As we were leaving, another staff member also congratulated us! Everyone, perhaps because they were hotel staff, provided exceptional customer service.

Today is August 1st. Despite the somewhat cool-sounding name "Hazuki," it is actually a scorching hot summer, with sweat dripping just from standing outside. Looking at the weekly weather forecast filled with bright red sun icons, it feels like I might get heatstroke just by looking at it~ Recently, I visited Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk for some errands. From the Fukuoka Urban Expressway near the Momochi exit, you can see the Hilton Fukuoka. What is that drum-like or trumpet-like dome you see from the outside? This is the dome-shaped part that can be seen from the outside. It is a bright and open space with glass roofs and walls that let light shine through. The front desk is also on the same floor, the 4th floor of the hotel. For lunch that day, I made a reservation at the Chinese restaurant "Bo-Mai-Ro" on the 5th floor of the Hilton. It is located on the floor above, near the glass wall. We were seated at a table with a great view, right by the glass wall. Hilton Fukuoka is designed to resemble a luxury cruise ship, so this room is located at the bow of the ship, the prow. From our table, we could see Nokonoshima, Momochi Beach, NEC, Hitachi, TNC (Television Nishi Nihon), and beyond that, Fukuoka Tower. We ordered the lunch dim sum course "Yang Guifei." The appetizer consisted of daikon mochi and octopus with spicy salt. The crispy texture and spicy herb salt whetted our appetites. The shrimp with mango sauce was delightful, with the sweet and sour sauce complementing the texture of the shrimp. The snow crab and winter melon soup was delicious. Feeling like we needed more than just dim sum, I ordered the cold sesame tantan noodles (^^ゞ The rich sesame and peanut paste added depth to the dish, and the cold tantan sauce was rich yet refreshing. Dim sum and dessert were served. They were presented in a basket like an afternoon tea set. In the front were squid jade and shrimp dumplings, and in the back were chicken XO sauce steamed buns and Cantonese shumai. On the top two tiers were an amazing six dessert items... From front to back: sesame dumplings, pineapple jam cookies, sata andagi. Peach tree sap almond jelly, mango pudding, and coconut milk with tapioca. The white peach pudding looked delicious, so I ordered it separately. I saw a craft tea that I had seen in Taiwan before. When hot water was poured over the round tea balls, they slowly opened up like blooming flowers in water. There was a corner with various Chinese teas. The craft tea we ordered was in the front row, second from the right. My wife will be giving a lecture on September 24th titled "Hints for Stories - How to Create Short Stories." This is a Chinese restaurant at Hilton Fukuoka. Since it is a hotel restaurant, you can make a reservation by phone at Hilton. They offer a lunch course menu. Honestly, the level of Chinese cuisine is quite high and the restaurant's atmosphere is elegant, so I think you will be satisfied. The food is very delicious. The presentation is beautiful, the taste is satisfying, and the service level is truly Hilton-level, with very attentive care, so I was very satisfied. Occasionally, having Chinese food at a hotel like this is a good idea. I felt elegant and satisfied. I would like to go again.

I originally wanted to have lunch on a high floor, but all the restaurants were fully booked. I chose a Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor. The view of the sea in front of me was still beautiful even though I was on a lower floor. If I had made a reservation a little earlier, I think I would have been seated at a more atmospheric spot at the top of the building! However, there was still a good amount of space between the other customers and me, which was nice. I ordered a la carte instead of a set course, and had shrimp chili and five-ingredient yakisoba with sauce. Despite being in a hotel, the portions were generous and satisfying. The bottled beer was a bit pricier than I had imagined. I'll double-check the menu next time haha! The staff were all friendly and the service was good. Thank you for the meal!

I didn't want to go outside because of the rain, so I went to the gym in the morning. I considered having lunch at the hotel as well. It was past 1 pm, but the lunch buffet on the 4th floor was quite crowded. When I peeked into the Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor, it seemed like those who had reserved for lunch were just finishing up and I could be seated right away. I sat alone at a table near the window. The weather was still gloomy. I ordered a Qingdao beer and looked at the menu. As expected, most dishes were for two people. Ordering for one person inevitably limited my choices. When I asked the staff about the portion size, they said I could handle about 3 dishes! However, the fried rice could be ordered in half portions. I ordered the classic dishes: shrimp chili, mapo tofu, crab fried rice, and xiaolongbao. I could finish them, but I definitely could have eaten less. The mapo tofu had a gently seasoned taste that could have used a bit more Sichuan pepper. The crab fried rice was surprisingly generous in portion size. They mentioned I would be full when I finished the fried rice, and they were right! It was delicious authentic Chinese cuisine. It would be great if they had sets or portion options for solo diners.

A few years ago, I visited "Bokairo" on the 5th floor of Hilton Fukuoka Seahawk in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. I ordered the "All-you-can-eat Dim Sum" for lunch for 2500 yen. The appetizers and main dishes were disappointing, but the fried rice was delicious. The dessert was okay. The dim sum buffet had 15 varieties, some were tasty like the xiaolongbao and steamed shrimp dumplings. However, the service was slow, and by the time I finished eating, over 2 hours had passed. I drank 6 cups of tea while waiting, so my stomach was quite full.

I had a lunch buffet of dim sum. The taste was okay, but when I went for the second time, my dim sum order didn't go through... I had to wait for about 30 minutes... The staff's response made me a little annoyed and disappointed.

★Mokairou★ Had lunch with friends at Mokairou, and for some reason, my daughter tagged along (lol). Located on the 5th floor, the view was limited and unfortunately it was raining. Lunch set: 2500 yen for all-you-can-eat dim sum course, available only on weekdays. Includes 12 types of dim sum such as appetizers, soup, shrimp chili, 12 kinds of dim sum, five-treasure fried rice, and dessert. Dim sum is ordered buffet-style by writing the quantity on an order form. We enjoyed a variety of items like shumai, dumplings, xiaolongbao, spring rolls, and meat buns. Had a great time eating to our heart's content!

I dropped by for lunchtime. The atmosphere was a bit unclear as it was hard to tell if it was a shop from a distance. There was no menu at the entrance, so it was a mystery. I assumed it was a Chinese restaurant and quickly entered. I ordered the Hot and Sour Noodles, Yakisoba, and Jumbo Gyoza. However, it took quite a while for the dishes to be served. It seemed to coincide with a party... By the way, the beer I drank was a Super Dry in a glass for 970 yen! Expensive, right? Nonetheless, all the dishes were delicious. The table space was spacious, allowing for a leisurely dining experience. I still prefer eating a course meal though (laughs). Sakura

The scenery was also wonderful. We were able to see the sunset over the sea and mountains in the distance. It was a weekday, so there were only 2-3 other groups of customers, allowing us to relax. We visited as it was our first wedding anniversary and we had received a dinner invitation from the Hilton Hotel. The female staff members were very warm and reliable, creating a gentle and calming atmosphere. We had a course meal, which was delicious. The main meat dish was a stir-fry with beef and leeks in XO sauce, which I enjoyed before taking a photo, sorry! The dan dan noodles we ordered separately were rich and tasty. We rented a baby cot called a "kouhan" on this day, but it is important to note that if your baby can roll over, be careful. The cloth sides of the cot are not strong, so if the baby rolls over, they will definitely fall out of the cot. Parents with small children, please be careful.

Located on the 5th floor of the Hilton Hotel Sea Hawk next to the Yahoo Dome, "Bokairo" offers all-you-can-eat dim sum for lunch. I went there with high expectations, but to be honest, it was really disappointing. The restaurant is in a famous hotel, so it's clean and has a luxurious feel with good service. However, the food was incredibly slow. So slow. The dim sum feast includes appetizers, soup, daily specials, fried rice, dessert, and dim sum that you can order yourself in fixed quantities. I waited for about 15 minutes each time I ordered. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy on a weekday, the service was still slow. I can't imagine how it would be on weekends. In the end, I had to rush through my meal because of the long waiting time. I apologize for this negative review.

I made a reservation for a private room and went to the Chinese restaurant "Mokairou" on the 5th floor of Hilton Sea Hawk (a hotel that has changed owners many times) on Saturday evening. There were more than 10 people, including children. We ordered a course meal for the adults, while the children only requested chairs. When we entered the room after giving our name at the reception, child-sized chairs were set up for us. Since it was difficult to move the chairs, we mainly used the children's chairs and the adults decided on their seats. The table was a long table with a tablecloth, not a round table. This time, we ordered the cheapest course, called "Ki". The price was 6,700 yen per person, but with tax and service charge, it came to 7,960 yen, which is about 8,000 yen. For the children, we ordered dishes like fried rice and yakisoba, along with drinks, and the course began. The first dish was an assorted appetizer. I thought it would be served on a large plate, but all the course dishes were individually plated. It was like Western cuisine. The fried rice and yakisoba that we ordered separately were served quickly, and the children started eating. The seasoning of the fried rice and yakisoba was elegant, with the spices being subtle, and it was delicious. The next course dish was stir-fried lobster with seasonal vegetables. Following that was beef with oyster sauce and lotus root slices, with burdock slices stuffed into the holes and deep-fried. It looked too good to eat. Next was a dish of sea bream with green onions and oil (the menu described it as steamed fish over high heat). It was quite substantial. Personally, it was the most delicious dish of the day for me. The sauce was soy sauce-based. Finally, after the fried rice, we had a soft mango pudding-like dessert. Overall, the food was very delicious and just the right amount for me. We started with beer for drinks but switched to white wine midway through. (Members who don't drink alcohol had juice or oolong tea.) The cost of drinks was not cheap. With few heavy drinkers, the cost per person easily exceeded 10,000 yen including drinks. From the window, we could see Fukuoka Tower, surrounding buildings, Marizon, and Hakata Bay. The banquet started in the daylight but by the end, it was already night view. The changing colors of the scenery can be enjoyed, which is a feature of this restaurant. It is recommended to start dinner in the early evening to enjoy the changing colors of the scenery.

I visited this restaurant after a long time because I wanted to eat while looking at the sea. We ordered various dishes to share. I really love the seafood soup soba here. The seafood flavor comes through really well. I always order the shoronpo, which I love. The meat juice is just right, not too much. However, this time the fried rice was a bit too oily, and the fried chicken had thicker breading than before. The desserts are always delicious without any complaints. Despite there being a concert in the neighboring dome that day, it wasn't as crowded as I thought, and the staff were attentive, making it a comfortable experience. Thank you for the meal.

After visiting the Kanbei exhibition at the museum, I stopped by at Mokkari. Mokkari used to be on the top floor of the Seahawk Hotel where I had dim sum buffet before. Back then, it had a casual family restaurant vibe, but now being in the Hilton Hotel, it has a more luxurious feel. The interior is glass-walled on both sides, offering an ocean view and a refreshing atmosphere. I ordered the mouth-watering dim sum course for 2800 yen, which included appetizers, soup, shrimp chili, fried dishes, a dim sum platter, Chinese porridge, and dessert. Everything was delicious, but the shrimp chili, sticky rice meatballs, and xiaolongbao were particularly tasty. I imagine it would be quite expensive for dinner. It was satisfying to enjoy a delicious and affordable lunch at a luxury hotel. On my way back, I visited Hawks Town and was surprised by how deserted it was. There were many vacant stores, a sign of the changing times. Also, the jungle-like tropical plants on the second floor of the hotel were gone, completely changing the atmosphere.

In 2013, I attended a meeting and decided to stay at a hotel even though I could have gone home because there were arrangements at the hotel. I had never had breakfast at this hotel before, although I had been there for meals and events. In the past, I had a negative impression of the meals at JAL Hotel, but the food at the banquet the previous day was quite good. I wondered if something had changed since it became Hilton. So, I decided to have breakfast at this restaurant. I chose various dishes from the buffet style breakfast, starting with scrambled eggs, sausages, and boiled eggs. I found congee at the rice section, which I had developed a liking for after trying it in Yokohama recently, and eagerly poured it into a bowl. I then moved to the second station where I found salads and Japanese dishes. I created my own salad with romaine lettuce, cabbage, roast chicken, and salmon. Back at my table, I also had corn soup. With various additions to my congee, I savored the boiled eggs. I enjoyed the roast chicken salad, which had a fantastic flavor. As I sipped my coffee while overlooking the sea, I felt rejuvenated after the tiredness from the previous day's event. However, I had to hurry back to my hotel room to prepare for check-out as I had guests coming over in the morning.

Dim sum buffet for the third time... This time, I visited a restaurant located inside the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk. It was a ladies' day, so we got a slightly discounted rate, and despite being a weekday, the place was almost full! The restaurant is on the 5th floor, and we were seated by the window with a fantastic view. The atmosphere was very pleasant for dining. The dim sum order buffet here is served in courses, including two appetizers, soup, mapo tofu and fried rice in the second half, and dessert. The cold appetizer was a vegetable salad with fresh scallops and salmon, although the dressing was a bit oily. The egg and shimeji mushroom soup had a nice consistency and was filling. The stir-fried shrimp and Chinese cabbage dish was flavorful with a slightly strong seasoning. The dim sum selection was impressive, especially the crab roe siu mai and tri-color dumplings. We also enjoyed dishes like the crispy shrimp dumplings, egg fried rice, and oyster sauce steamed tofu skin rolls. The mapo tofu was mildly spicy and easy to eat when full, and the egg fried rice was delicious with a nice texture. For dessert, we had fresh lychee, sesame balls, and almond tofu. After enjoying the dim sum and completing the course, we were truly full. The variety of dishes and the ocean view made the dining experience enjoyable and satisfying. The service was excellent, and we had a great lunchtime. I would definitely want to come back again. It might be a good idea to make a reservation before visiting. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
